I don't agree that blonde in general is aesthetically pleasing. I think in general blondes are pedestalized by the media, and that influences what guys perceive as what is hot and what isn't.
Mainstream media doesn't really shape culture as much as it just gives people what they already want. That's why certain media images are popular in certain cultures. They are just representative of the zeitgeist and that culture's existing subconscious desires. In America the "blonde beauty" has always been popular as the ideal. Aesthetically it appeals to a lot of people abroad too. Personally, I don't care about blonde hair at all but it's certainly something a lot of people do like.

I agree. Put a room full of beauties from all over the world together and they will all have similar physical features anyways..long narrow faces and high cheekbones as well as long shapely legs, well shaped ass, and perky breasts.

Blond hair just looks clean and fresh. The light colored hair projects images of youth and cleanliness. Most of us have probably been exposed to blond girls with bubbly personalities when we were younger, so we were programmed to associate blond hair with femininity. There is a stereotype for blonds and they are usually image conscious, meaning they have to work hard (stay in shape, use makeup, etc). The other stereotype is that they are vapid and shallow, which likely mean they aren't feminists or intellectual types, which is also attractive to males.

Also, blonds, and most white chicks, age prematurely.

This fact is sweet poetic justice because these women are treated like gods when they are young. So it's great to see the tables turn on them later in life.

I think its no secret that historically lighter skin was the ideal. Among whites if your darker its probably because you work outdoors ie many might think lower class where as rich people can sit inside and have pale skin. Even among blacks though light skinned blacks from as far back as slavry days to today are perceived as a class above darker blacks.

That said I think blondes were the hot thign in the 80s and 90s. Think heavy metal rockers bleac blond hair, blondes have the most fun, blond party girls, that whole image.

These days I would argue blondes aren't the hot thing they used to be, my personal leanings are towards latina women and more exotic looks but I think even society as a whole, modeling, etc is favoring darker skin, olive complextions, etc. Obviously there's still plenty of blonde models and blondes are still thought of as oh I got a date wit this hot blond this weekend but I tink latinas and olive complections are pretty in these days.

Back during the victorian era if you were pale it was a sign of wealth and prosperity. That cultural norm got flipped around in the U.S. after the industrial era when people started working indoors more. Pasty skin started to be attributed to being a worker bee while the noveau rich and the leisure class started to get recreational tans. That's how tanned skin tones started to become an "in" thing.

In asia and latin America they still follow the victorian era type prejudices. Tan skin is looked down on because it's mostly field workers and laborers who get tanned.

The obsession with blond is purely based upon media manipulation to take advantage of selling hair products. If the message came out to be that all men would want a blond girl, then all women would want to purchase hair dyes in order to convert to the change. However if the media portray that you are beautiful no matter what kind of hair you have, that's just less revenue in a world of consumption.

The more media spew that "blond" is a higher form of status, the more people will believe it. Its plain social conditioning at its finest.

I personally don't care about hair color, I care mostly about the state of a woman's skin, her physical shape, and how she manage her hair.

If media manipulation was effective, they would be far more profitable trying to push some unnatural color like blue or purple or green.

No one likes those colors, despite how much media pushing for weird dyed hairs. People like blonde despite being dyed because its natural. There is probably a better reason why they like blonde more than other natural colors.

That's it!

That's the reason. The media wants to sell their product up a certain "normal" standard without it being too obscure and blond hair was chosen by the marketing teams to represent "beauty".

And you can say that a good reason why the hair color blond was chosen is probably because a lot "supermodels" in the earlier 50s and 60s were DOMINANTLY blond.

Lisa Fonssagrives:

Margaux Hemingway:

Anita Colby:

Twiggy:

This is what I've gathered as iconic supermodels before. And since English speaking countries is considered as the "dominant" kind, the rest of the world looked up to them to emulate their success.

Then later this stereotype of "superiority" further extended with the introduction of Marilyn Monroe. In THIS day, when I went traveled across Asia, I've asked the girls there why they would choose to dye their hair blond. The general consensus was: "We want to have that "supermodel" look....like Marilyn Monroe!" And there was also the Barbie phenomenon.

Now why did they choose specifically blond hair in the first place? Perhaps it was all coincidence in the beginning and then certain companies took advantage of this coincidence to further expound upon it for profits. Or maybe the companies never bothered to do anything different for the fear that a new hair color might be not universally attracted to.

Most of our preferences are shaped my media.

Thus whomever controls the media has power to shape our preferences.
We end up believing what they believe or what they want us to believe.

Blond - is synonymous in a sense with "white". Hence to proclaim blond as best and to go and spend billions promoting this all around the world 24 hours a day - is to proclaim indirectly that "white" is best - superior.

The promotion of the blond then is part and parcel of the propaganda parcel of White Supremacy. Imposed to the extent possible on the 90% of the planet that is not "white" - that they and theirs is not "best/superior" - by implication then "white" control and actions to control - the world resources - no matter how deplorable are not only justifiable but advisable.

The proliferation of the Blond Jesus image - no matter how ridiculously false it is - is an example of the Jedi mind trick played on the rest of the planet.
-in this category falls the - blonde barbie: forcing most of the planet s little girls to play with white blond. (until relatively recent barbie was diversified)
-also the Gerber Baby - littel blond baby as the ideal - which we are constantly reminded as we feed our own children.

Secondly, Much of modern entertainment is owned by Jewish men: a people who are not "blond". Perhaps the pedestalization of the blond is form of sexual fetish for the culture creators. They are obsessed with the shiksa (gentile female) that their culture tells them they should not marry-procreate with. The type of female they - absent extreme wealth - could not hope to have sex with due to the fact that they are not Nordic and often not very attractive in the Western sense.

Please do note that Persian women were dying their hair blonde and using makeup over 2,000 years ago. I don't think that it was because of the media. It's probably because many women look more attractive with fairer hair.

Kdolo caught us...I thought we were going to get away with it too.

All of us blondes go to a big blonde convention every year where we secretly rule the world.

All those blonde, white, homeless guys? All those Russian and Ukrainian blondes who suffered under communism? All a hoax! Every blonde is secretly super rich and is also extremely interested in total subjugation of everything not blonde and white.

In evolutionary ways, lighter hair is more revealing to see if there's bugs I think. In the same way that light eyes betray emotion more easily than dark.

I also have a theory that facial beauty might have took precidence in colder climates where the women couldnt show off their bodies as much as in hotter ones. So you'd have a greater emphasis on prettiness, and the blonde hair gets associated with that. The light hair probably would let more light reach the scalp which could aid in vitamin d production in areas where there is little light (like pale skin). Who knows, maybe the Eskimos would have turned blond and light skinned if they stayed in isolation for many many more years.

Transparency, being able to easily read your mate. These things are important.

Also, some blonds that I've met from countries like Sweden literally look like their hair is made out of gold. It's spectacular.

Please note that I wrote "some women", not "all women". Women who lack Nordic facial features often look horrible with dyed blonde hair. And platinum hair with black eyebrows is sometimes quite an eye sore.

Speaking as a Brit in the US, I don’t think this blonde obsession is that big in the UK. I think there’s more of an Asian obssesion where I am (Los Angeles). Personally I like brunettes, and the black hair blue eyed combo is really hot to me.

I remember speaking to an American guy who had visited Sweden and Finland on his travels. He showed me pictures of the local women – a lot of them had dyed hair. He said a lot of the women are naturally blonde so they dyed their hair to look different. Being blonde isn’t a postive there I guess.

BTW I only found this out recently, but apparantly blond refers to men, blonde refers to women.

And the truth comes out.

When I read stuff like this, it makes me wonder why Europeans work so hard to try to include the black community in their culture and help the black community through things like welfare and affirmative action.

If after all of this effort that is made to help the black community, people from the black community only speak up to hate on us, why even try?

It will be interesting to see how politics change in America when all of the Christian guys my age grow up after being hated on by black people repeatedly throughout their lives.

The Cape Verde archipelago, a former Portuguese colony, has some exotic-looking blondish mulatos:

Cape Verde is quite a genetic cocktail. From Wikipedia (accuracy not guaranteed):

Quote:Quote:

The Cape Verde archipelago was uninhabited when the Portuguese discovered it in 1456. African slaves were brought to the islands to work on Portuguese plantations. As a result, Cape Verdeans are mulattoes (mestiços in Portuguese), who have mixed African and European origins. European ancestors also include Spanish and Italian seamen who were granted land by the Portuguese Empire, followed by Portuguese settlers, exiles, and Portuguese Jews who were victims of the Inquisition. Many foreigners from other parts of the world settled in Cape Verde as their permanent country. Most of them were Dutch, French, British (English), Arab and Jewish (from Lebanon and Morocco), Chinese (especially from Macau), India, Indonesia, South America, American and Brazilian (including people of Portuguese and African descent). All of these have been absorbed into the mestiço population. The high degree of genetic and ethnic mixture of individuals is a result of centuries of migration. It is not unusual to encounter persons with dark skin and blond hair and blue eyes, and persons with light skin and black hair.

Are you kidding? Some bottle blondes look hotter with blonde hair than natural blondes.

Also, Lars Von trier had his light haired actresses darken their eyebrows to get that Danish look, which makes them look like they'd be a lot of fun to fuck.

I would love blonde hair and blonde eyebrowed chicks.

Unfortunately, Ive read a lot into this(I love blondes and I was surfing the net about chicks dying hair, and then searched eyebrows). Supposedly it is dangerous to dye your eyebrows because it is very likely the dye would go into your eyes which can cause blindness(or something else, cannot remember exactly).

All in all I would much rather the chicks I fuck not bother with this risk, despite looking more "fake" bottle blond.

Not exactly a typical Pakistani girl, is she?

On the hypothesis that the Kalash people descend from Alexander the Great's soldiers, genetic analysis tells us that such hypothesis is incorrect: Alexander’s soldiers left no mark (2013)

It's probably just natural genetic drift. Another group that had distinctly European features in a place where it's considered unusual were the Tocharians of ancient China. A lot of central asians (prior to USSR colonization programs) could also end up with very european looking features.
