An odd addition I made in my apartment was to mount to my ceiling these huge red triangular(I'm talking 8ft long and nearly 3ft wide) sound panels I got from a Harkins theater demolition my company did. I mounted them using small wooden 2 inch spacers. I also have green and block-ier type sound panels with a few bare mirrors screwed to my bedroom walls as well as the ceilings.
Mirrors would be a great addition to any room as they add depth and different dimensions to your room to make it seem bigger than it actually is. Highly suggest them.

Second on the mirrors. Everyone loves looking at themselves, everyone has a little narcissism on the inside.
The best thing you can do for your pad, imo, is invest in a good bed. It'll help you sleep better, which in turn will help you with work, with game, and in the end make your lifestyle better. I got a really nice bed my junior year of college, it was a huge game changer for me. Grades went up, social life got better, all in all had more energy, just because I was sleeping better because I had a nice bed. Don't skimp.
As far as things that girls seem to like, I've always had a nice TV and a nice stereo system. No need for Cable, get enough channels over the air and have a netflix account so I can watch movies/tv all I want (not that I have much time) for $8 a month. TVs and bookshelf speakers are cheap. I'd pay a little more for the receiver so you don't have to replace it in two years.

The only things that matter to me are:
Large and high quality bed with fine Egyptian cotton sheets, 400 count minimum.
Large sofa with blanket.
Large TV with Sky and Netflix/Apple tv whatever.
Champagne flutes and at least two bottles of pink and one white in the fridge ready chilled.
Nothing else matters to me apart from cleanness; I go for minimal everything i.e nothing. I haven't got a single painting, nothing on my walls. It's all unnecessary to my game I guess.

I like
http://AllPosters.com. They have a nice selection of art prints that you can have matted and framed by them and delivered to you.

Don't over think it.
Bright white lights are death -- keep it dim. Philipps Hue lights are great, by altering the color just a little you can make an average apartment look high end.
The only other two things that matter is keep it clean and free of distractions.
I've lived in places worth both low and mid seven figures in great locations. The small clean apartment free of distractions beat them by a long shot. Never would have imagined.

I put a simple, multi colour LED lightbulb in every room. They are cheap and effective. Buy several from the same place so they all work on the same remote. Note: they may also hit your TV and change the channel or volume if they are on the same frequency.
I'm doing some work on my room now, ordered some LED's, planning to put them on the roof, in the closet and around the bed.
I want to get some bean bag chairs for the room and something that would grab a lot of attention. I'm wondering if anyone knows if bean bag chairs are deflatable or if there are any deflatable bean bag chairs.
And what do you think I could put in there to grab a lot of attention, I was going to get a lava lamp.

I use houzz.com for inspiration. The trick is not to copy exactly what you see. But rather take elements that you like from different pads give your own twist to it and then put them together.
Great suggestion. This site is legit!

I just moved into a new place with high ceilings (about 12'). I got a really nice looking ceiling fan with LED lights on remote, turned the far wall into an inkblot picture of the Denver skyline, and put artsy posters I made of my favorite dead rappers up high in nice aluminum frames. Everything else is really simple. The wall was a pain in the dick, but it's a huge attention grabber, and the room has a crazy relaxed feel.
I also recommend a good sound system. I have speakers hidden under the bed and up on the loft so they're out if sight. I run music from Google All Access wirelessly from a tablet. It's beautiful.

Mine are always set to blue or red. They can take a plain, white walled room and give it texture and feeling.

How hard is it to install these things? Does it work on any lamp?

I'm a huge fan of beanbag chairs. Thhey don't inflate or they wouldn't be a beanbag chair they would be an inflatable chair, definately not the same look or feel of a beanbag chair.
I'd always wanted to get those love sacks but couldn't see myself dropping like $600 on a beanbag chair all be it a big one so had a local cleaner sew some material I got at joane fabrics and stuffed it with foam peanuts. After a year or two they will wear out however I pick up these enormous bags from uline that are probably about 5 feet long by 3 feet wide, enough to stuff a giant beanbug. Its like under 10 bucks delivered so can't beat that
Don't go too overboard withh the beanbags and lava lights and stuff or its cheesy or just looks like a stoners room.
I think we probably have somewhat of the smae style from some of the stuff your doing. Look into floor pillows and conversation pits, if you like beanbag chairs you'll probably dig that stuff as well. I'll probably get called a homo for mentioning this but look around on pinterest for some cool idea lol.
Ah ok so it would be harder to order one, still might try to get two. That's a good idea if it comes to it I will make them. Floor pillows definitely, don't think I could build a conversation pit in this room. Haha yeah I'm going to go check out pinterest. Yo thanks for the information.
