The irony that the OP and most libtards fail to realize is that the US very clearly subsidizes the rest of the world's cheap medical care.
Most countries, especially in Europe have their prices set by the government. It's well known within the pharmaceutical industry that foreign governments often outright refuse to buy drugs if they're over a certain price.
If the US were to adopt a single payer system, the rest of the world would have to pony up its fair share of the r&d costs. Europe's well known free healthcare (hilariously anyone of means here gets private insurance) wouldn't be able to survive if pharmaceutical companies refused to sell them at the firesale prices.
