Which city are you going to be in? iknowexactly?

I'm going to Manila first, but might not stay long, then to Cebu.
I seem to be feel most comfortable there as far as socially, able to strike up friendly conversations with locals etc.
there are still more chicks than I could ever get to know.

The 9+ chicks in Manila seem to be too much like Americans.

I kind of liked CDO if you stay out of town, city looked pretty dreary,
there's a city about an hour away-- Iligan-- that has chicks that are really primal, sometimes very sexy in a jungle girl sort of way. I'm speculating they are very easy, although I am not after notch count, just a spectacular hidden jungle girl gem who is stunning. my impression is Iligan is hellish, poor, polluted and not too safe; anyone with any brains would love to get out.

If I get the nerve up I might go to Zambo, but 100 people were killed there about a year ago when nut job islamists took hostages.

It wasn't just a skirmish, 100,000 city residents were displaced to camps and such. 15 cops and soldiers killed as well as 129 rebels... they're probably quite pissed if there's any left.

The above article mentions the nuts are really basically criminals using religion “They all started off — even Abu Sayyaf which is supposed to be linked to Al-Qaeda — as criminal gangs that support themselves with extortion and kidnapping, and find it easy to recruit as the region is so underdeveloped.”

Fisto, I think September will be the anniversary--could be more dangerous. Would be very interesting to get some interviews with locals and see what they think about the safety issue.

I met a cab driver in CDO who had moved from Zambo and liked CDO much more, he told me there was a lot of crime in Zambo, outside of the Muslim extremists, like cab drivers getting robbed etc. He did not want to go back, didn't like it.

I plan to be in Phils about three months at least. I thank the lord for the small passive income that allows me respite from American girls.

IKE,
I'm also VERY intrigued by Illigan and CDO. As well as Iloilo. And Bacolod. And Dumaguete. And so on and so forth. So many cities to explore in the Phils, it's mind bogging!

Anyone in here been to these out of the beaten path cities in the Phils?

I do see online quiet a few lookers in those cities. Specially Zambo but I'm not going anywhere near that place. I might only consider it tough if Fisto wants to be my bodyguard there!

I chatted online with a girl from Iligan a bunch of times - she lived in what looked to be a concrete hut in the jungle, as far as I could see from her camera. Kids running around barefoot (though that's not different than much of the rest of the country). Exotic features, big lips, and definitely willing to do a lot for an opportunity to change her life. Iligan is borderline muslim territory, FYI, not Zambo, but not completely off the radar for kidnapper types either. CDO and Surigao and GenSan all seem safer choices, if thats a driving factor. I don't know why the hottest girls on FC always seem to be Zambo girls, maybe some of them are bait/switch or scam jobs, but can't be all of them.

The most unsafe part of the Philippines from that standpoint are the islands west of Mindanao, Sulu and Tawi Tawi. That's Abu Sayaf central, I believe. Its also supposed to have amazing wildlife, which is why the two french dudes who got kidnapped went their.

Surigao seems to me a very good compromise, and Ive chatted with some great looking girls from there (some relocated to Cebu). Surfing, beach...what could go wrong :?

I've referral links for most credit cards, PM me for them & thanks if you use them
Strip away judeo-christian ethics ingraining sex is dirty/bad & the idea we're taking advantage of these girls disintegrates. Once you've lost that ethical quandary (which it isn't outside religion) then they've no reason to play the victim, you've no reason to feel the rogue. The interaction is to their benefit.

Not much to do in Bacolod (girls and tourism). Negros, the island it's on is beautiful if you're into nature and all that.

VP you expressed my feelings exactly, theres so many places to go, then you zoom back and count the rest of the world and it becomes overwhelming.

A girl I hooked up with las year is in suriago now, I'd like to check it out.

One girl is in Bacolad. There seem to be a lot of cute ones there as well.

I love being around nature so it win win for me regardless.

I'm in Bohol now.

Flipinas give the most unhelpful advice.

I left my room in Oslob yesterday intent on taking an hour long bus ride to the nearest city which has a boat to bohol.

It was actually closer to 2 hours later and a wet in the rain 20 minute walk later at the warf, I learned theres only one boat per day that leaves at 4 am.

So I decided to sit and eat at the little stand there. I had chopped liver, seaweed, and rice.

Some guy that makes and sells icecream came by and I got some as well but it was too sweet. I gave it to the old lady at the stand.

Walking in the rain back a kid rode up on his bike wanting to talk.

I was annoyed by the bad travel advice from the pinay lady that ran the guest house I stayed at but put on a pleasant demeanor for the kid and soon found myself enjoying the conversation.

He wanted to play in the PBA and become a civil engineer.

I waited for a bus but then a taxi stopped by. The guy was super friendly and agreed to take me to the port in cebu city for 700 pesos. About 2 hours more of driving.

I fell asleep in the back as I was sunburned and tired still from the day before.

When I arrived at the port I gave the guy money and bought my ticket to tagbilaran from a really pretty girl. She had that look on her face like shes doesnt actually see anyone she speaks to and so I didn't bother.

The terminal was new and a cafe in the upstairs aread had delicious cupcakes. I ate four. 2 mint chocolate and 2 red velvet.

The ride was actually ok and I made sure to take the motion sickness pills I picked up a couple days prior. They played Robocop on the flat screen which helped pass the time.

Getting off the boat I got a tricycle and went to 3 different places to find a room until I said screw it and ended up paying 1250 pesos a night where I am now.

The other places were around 800 but then they tacked on charges that were almost double if you had a guest, or the last place which was 2400 plus 600 for a guest.

After all that waiting and traveling I was pretty tired and fell asleep without showering.

While here I want to see the Chocolate Hills. Getting laid and seeing other stuff will be a bonus.

^ I stopped over in Tagbilaran once and didn't find much action there.
But I rented a death scooter and drove to the Chocolate Hills.
Was a cool day trip.

I think thats a great idea. I havent had a death scooter adventure in ages.

Well not entirely true.

A couole nights ago when I arrived in Oslob I learned their were no atms, so I found a guy willing to drive me the 45 minutes one way to the town that had an atm.

It was at night down winding roads right on the coast.

I enjoyed it because it was a kawasaki 135 rouser.

I tried to rent a scooter in Tagbilaran, the only place I found had two shitty ones and neither one worked, I paid before I tried to start them and after realizing they wouldn't start, the lady didn't want to refund me. We argued for a bit but it really pissed me off, cruising around the Chocolate Hills on a scooter would have been really fun.

Fisto, if you can, try to do a day tour of Bohol, you can probably organize something in Alona Beach or through a hotel where you go with a group to cut costs. My tour included the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier monkey sanctuary, river boat cruise and the site of the Blood Compact. Our driver was cool and also took us to a cock fight (it was a Sunday) and one of the baddest zip lines I've ever been on, about 800 m across a canyon over a river, cost about $7.00 and was a major rush, highly recommended!

I got a scooter and a girl and drove to chocolate hills. Going there I took the "long way" which was a little over an hour and on a lot of gravel roads through the straight up country.

People were waving and little kids were yelling "hiii"!!! The whole way.

I remember what it was like growing up and seeing a new person and how it seemed exciting.

I waved back and said "heeeeeyyyy"! And watched them squirm around or jump up and down.

It was nice to see. The country hear in bohol is very pretty. Everyone was so friendly the whole way when I stopped for directions.

In the South where I grew up, just parking your car in front of someone's house has them eyeing you with suspicion and a raised eyebrow. These people were so nice.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things I can't stand about people here;

One thing they seem incapable of, despite their English proficiency, is to take things at face value. The women are terrible about it. You'll say, i'm going to xxx place and they will have made all sorts of assumptions and have taken away things you did say and add things completely unrelated. Thats a big irritant to me in general.

Also the men here have the habit of not having the sense to be helpful.

At one point on the way back we stopped for directions and the guy was literally 6 feet away and standing around. He kept saying he couldn't here. I said "walk your ass over here then"!

It was like a switch went "oh yeah" and so he walked over and could hear all of a sudden.

Unreal.

But anyway, i'll take nice over the people in the US any day.

The Chocolate Hills were cool. The times I rented a scooter I drove in heavy traffic and it seemed more of a bother than to get a taxi.

This time there was long stretches where I was going 80 k/hr.

I had forgotten how good that feels.

If I stay here longer I'm going to get a bike and make direct danger teach me how to ride properly [Image: wink.gif]

If/when I go back to the US i'll get a bike for sure.

Cedunulli said you can get high end jap bikes for cheap in cambo. I want to know how to get one.

I have discovered what might be the best kept secret in the PI.

A place with beauty queen level hotness, white god worshipping, and very little foreigners.

The catch, you have to take two 9-12 hour bus rides and a goddamn ship to get there.

An old ranger buddy (went on to become SF and then Delta) saw I was in the PI on facebook and reached out.

He grew up here and has some crazy stories but also told me about this one island in Manila Bay where the Japanese had a stronghold during WW2. Apparently there was some serious fighting that went down. When he was a kid he would take week long excursions on the island. Found all sorts of shit like bone fragments, dog tags, live ordinance, and enough brass to fill a semi truck.

Pretty crazy.

He said he and his buddies found some live mortars and threw one off a cliff and that fucker went off!

Anyway, he's good buddies with some recon marines here in the PI, they're at the top of the food chain and I was invited to train and teach there and I will get to learn Filipino Stick and Knife fighting!

This could be pretty helpful when I head down to Zamboanga.

Oh boy. Time to give Fisto a talking to before he kills himself.

Many years ago, I was in a bar in Minneapolis and there was this drooling bartender who dragged one leg around. He was extroverted and sociable, looking back I realize he must have been popular pre-trauma, he had the confidence of a fully functioning guy, but everyone around him was feeling sorry for him and being polite.

I talked to a girl there, I think she was a waitress. I forgot how we got on the subject, but you could tell she was pained by the situation, she leaned over closer to me and mentioned how he had gotten in a motorcycle accident, and before he was charming, confident and social, and was always "hitting on the girls"... I could sense it was really sad for her to see what had happened to him.

Think about all the fairly macho guys you see sort of dragging one leg around. Ever wonder what happened to them?

Think about how many of them shattered a fucking leg riding a motorcycle. And they're not the ones with head injuries.

Also, while I'm being protective of the class daredevil, watch out for subclinical head trauma. Co-worker just told me about her very fit father who inexplicably got severe dementia early, in his 50s.

Had been an avid hobbyist boxer. I think you can train and spar, and still minimize even moderate head shots.

You can still be pretty crazy, but some things you can't overcome-- bad arrests, a jellied brain, and a thoroughly smashed body.

I've crashed a couple times, my shoulder is permanently dented. When I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course ( highly recommended) they said in over 95% of accidents the car driver didn't see the motorcyclist. They also said that in over 95% of the accidents the motorcyclist was at fault. If you're cruising down a two-lane road where cars are waiting to pull out of side streets, you should not be going 65.

Get an armored elbows and shoulders and back pad jacket.

THEY NEVER SEE YOU.

There, now I want to know WHERE IS THE WHITE GOD POOSY PARADISE? I land in Manila in early September. Better PM it, or every Korean with a rich dad will be there in three weeks.

I find this funny, because out of all things I had a accident this weekend with a runaway cow on my motorbike. Put me in the hospital for two days. One of the horns stabbed me in the arm. Always keep your head on a swivel out there.

In the Phils has the bulk of your success came from day game, night, social circle, or online pipelining?

Can you show us some pics of the median local talent walking around like Sourcecode's post here of Budapest>
