The concept of love

A quick question to the members, how many of you believe in the idea of love?

Or the possibility of spending the rest of your life with one woman?

Just curious.
I've read a lot of posts from Mark(entropy) so he really has me questioning the concept of lasting monogamy.

The concept of love

I believe in love as much as I believe in Santa Claus every X-mas - it's nice, but when you bang the amount of women I have, reality is a motha fucker. Love is a convenience fee - nothing more.

Two people in passion are considered “smitten.” They stare at each other, spend every hour of every day together, stay up until 6AM together talking.

In other words, according to the article Love 1 is as far as I can go.

Interesting piece. I always find it naive how people confuse lust and passion for being in true love.

I know this isn't the forum for talking about being in love, but I think that's something everyone should go through at least once before they die just to have a well-rounded life of experiences.

Love is real and your experience of it varies on your genetics.

The concept of love

I believe there is "LOVE" and then there's being "IN LOVE". You get to be "IN LOVE" for a limited time only. The "IN LOVE" turns into just "LOVE". No one just wants the "LOVE". They want the high octane Passion, Lust, Anxious, Heart Pounding, "IN LOVE" shit.

The concept of love

I see being "in love" as little more than your brain being awash in a sea of neurochemicals, in a balance it's not usually experiencing. As Jenkins said, being "in love" rarely lasts.

That said, there's no way I'll ever tie myself down to one woman. When my ability to charm women out of their panties is too greatly diminished by geriatricity, I'll be banging 20 yr. old prostitutes in Amsterdam.

The word love is butchered in the English language, as it can mean many different things.

That said, experiencing passion with a girl or even a healthy level of commitment has brought me more happiness and joy than 50 casual lays, so it's an experience that I highly recommend having at some point.

If you're concerned about life-long monogamy, then you should be. The catch is, I think society's slowly drifting in the direction where monogamy and commitment aren't synonymous anymore. Where it'll end up, I don't know, but sexual options -- for both men and women -- are becoming way too easy to pursue.
