Weatherford is having a job fair. Hiring on the spot. 17-25 an hour. Highwire? EO, and hiring for my manufacturing plant. The job fair is on the 26th in Odessa. Anybody in the area that is going PM me.
My only recommendation is apply before you hit the fair so they can pull you name up. I know they can use 20-30 people in my plant so I would say 50+ people will be given an offer letter on the spot. No experience needed.
Look the part and use that mouthpiece.
I make right under 20 an hour and work 120 hours every two weeks. I pull 2k a check working inside. EO start at 23 an hour and can get 80-100 hours a week. You can imagine that check. I dont know what highwire guys do or how much they get paid.
The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

Three week class in Odessa. Weatherford would pay for it plus you can do time in the yard after class everyday.

Look into well testing guys. As a helper you will have to do more physical labor, but on average you can expect 24 hours of physical labor in a week, the other 144 you will be sitting in a truck. Some places will put you on a rotation, some won't. I've gone 10 weeks in a row getting paid for all 168 hours in the week. You will typically work a 12 hour shift, but get paid 24. You will have to live in a travel trailer with another dude on location. It is not a great job to get laid, but you can stack some serious cash in a short period of time.

As a matter of fact I'm sitting at work right now watching a production battery. While this is not the typical job I do, I'm getting paid right now to sit in my truck and be on hand to close the well and call someone if something fucks up.

How do you get in? Are you in Alberta, Midland or North Dakota?
If you're in West Texas, I'll hit you up next week for a couple of drinks.

I live in San Angelo, but our shop is in Midland. Most if out work is in Andrews. But anywhere there is a shale play, there will be well testers. There are a fuck load of companies in Midland-Odessa. I've heard Tetra sucks to work for, but I know several guys who started there. MI Swaco is the same. I've heard Select isn't too bad. There are more companies out here than I could ever name, those are just some of the biggest ones. Tetra is international, and schlumberger, who is almost as big as Halliburton, owns MI Swaco.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool place. I go there when I get in the mood to pick up chicks with dumb hair and lots of tattoos. Straight freaks.

Do the oil companies often hire people from out of town?

Like most places they prefer it if u have residency there. So just make one up or get a private mailbox it cost like 34 bucks for 3 months and it gives you a permanent address

What's a graduated student?
Many are okay with your CDL permit and will help you get the full CDL license.
In regards to college graduate, they could care less if you're 22 with a degree or 22 with no HS diploma.

Whoah, looks like they are enjoying a little too much Texas BBQ.
If only you knew how bad things really are.

Hi guys!
What type of training would you recommend? I have a BBA but I know that'd be useless for this kind of job.
Also, where is it better ND or TX?
I'm really attracted to the 2 on 2 off schedule.

Cattle Rustler couldn't even get a toe hold out here and is a bullshitter. He should be watching/learning, not teaching. Ignore. I only came back to the forum because if someone shows up on hopes and dreams I ain't gonna leave them hanging. Go though renotime and he'll get you here to be safe. Don't PM me. I'll cut you.. For real.

I'll give a fucking real report btw. It ain't easy here, but anyone can make $15 hr, just like Williston back in the day. Now you need to be resourceful to get by. Stay tuned.
