One of my personal dreams is to own luxury real estate in several low cost countries although who knows whether that will change as I age.

I'm curious whether anyone here has done this and how they've found the experience.

It seems from my little research in the area quite a few foreigners are taken for a ride and pay prices way beyond market rates.
