When did mommy's become such drunks??
02-26-2014, 11:38 PM
Is it just me, or does it seem like new moms turn into sorority girls all of a sudden in the U.S.? I have two friends dealing with an identical problem: Their wives are f*cked up all the time! Both have young kids at home. I'm told this is common, that the women are part of a clique of hard-drinking mommys. But I only know these two.
Here's the typical scenario: Wife goes out for "girls night". Leaves the 2 yr old w/ hubby. "But don't worry...i'll be home by 11". A few dirty martini's later, 11 turns into 4 am and she stumbles in TRASHED. Hasn't returned any of hubbys texts (too drunk). Hubby waits up until she comes up and needs to get up for work in 3 hrs!
Like all women, they are easily led astray b/c their moral compass is more flexible - I've been told that one of these girls gets drunk and makes out with other girls! I wouldn't be surprised if she made out with guys. It leads to huge fights with the husband b/c he's afraid to let her go out (but, of course, if he forbids it, he'll find himself divorced, kicked out of his own house, and paying child support).
When did motherhood become an excuse to turn into a drunk slut?

They've been excused from such "oppressive" responsibilities such as raising children and housework, so what else do they have to do with their time but get drunk?
They certainly don't need to put any time into self improvement, becasue they're just perfect the way they are.

I began wondering the same thing since I first began drinking in bars. For about a year I was young to the bar atleast 4 nights every week and I'd see the same chicks almost every day. They had children in elementary school but were at the bar every weeknight drinking themselves stupid.

I wonder if some of it is that we are just putting too much pressure on women in this phony society of ours: Society tells them they must be "supermoms", have a career, etc, but very few women are wired for that. The rest are on the verge of breakdown. It's one reason anti-depressant use is so high: we're pushing women into roles they are not evolved for.
The other reason I think they are behaving badly is...they can! Who can tell them no?? Certainly not a husband. Raise a hand to your wife? Go to jail! Shame your wife for her bad behavior? Get divorced and pay child support. Women today are like unsupervised children.

It sounds like it could be a scene from "Mad Men" except the woman are going out drinking, acting like some men did in the 60s. I would bet that many woman are conscience of this and want to do as men did. The tv show, Sex and the City was based on woman going out, dating and fucking "like men". Of course, we know, that this show actually inspired woman to so in real life.

If I had little shits running around at home I'm pretty sure I would be drinking an extra 5 days a week.

I had an ex that drank more than me. Going out became miserable because I was supposed to be a stoic item to quietly follow her around. If I gave any attention to other women, she would go nuts. Her hitting on guys was alright though. Her being an attention whore only fueled my desires to game other chicks. Best parts were when other girls gave me the fuck me eyes. Loved it.
I enjoy the occasional drink, but I hate the way alcohol ruins my gym gains. I won't date party girls who drink. Bang of course, but that's it.

I think its the other way around? the moms who are drunk sluts were probably drunk sluts anyway and just hung up their hooker boots long enough to get married and pop out a kid, now they are back to their old routines. I've seen it where I lived before but where I am now, the mom's don't go out drinking like college sluts and neither do the college age girls, they are all in church.

I'm not too surprised. Feminism doesn't care about moms and actually shame them. Those moms are miserable just like their husbands who despise them.

You don't want to be their husband. If anything, you want to be the guy who picks them up and fucks them when they don't return text until 4am.

It's no 'we' or 'society' putting pressure on women. It's women putting pressure on other women.
'We' or 'society' is just weasel language women use to try and blame men for their own self-inflicted bullshit.
Remember when Princess Diana died being chased by the paparazzi and all the newspapers and shows pontificated about our fascination with celebrity? What they actually mean is women's fascination with celebrity, but by using weasel language it absolves them of personal responsibility.
I agree, women listen to other women the most. A man can use this to his advantage or detriment. The husband(s) in the above case should just get rid of the wife as "the only thing open at 4am is a pair of legs" but the other solution is to change her social circle...how is this done? Move or drag her into one.
I was listening to another good example of this on a radio program with Stephan Moleneux - the husband called in and told this story of how his wife convinced him to move back to her home town, where she proceeded to turn into a drunk slut and he knew no one. This was an obvious conclusion, he was led into a social circle where he was an outsider and where all of her friends were from her teenage or college years.
Women want to be 'normal' aka accepted by their peers and if normal is being a drunk slut and negligent mom, thats what they will want. Fortunately, if normal is being a stay at home mom who bakes pies for the church bake sale they will want that too.

Since life became so unbearable, I'd guess.
("Walter Pater said that we were all under sentence of death, and the only course was to enjoy exquisite moments simply for those moments' sake. The same lesson was taught by the very powerful and very desolate philosophy of Oscar Wilde. It is the carpe diem religion; but the carpe diem religion is not the religion of happy people, but of very unhappy people." — G.K. Chesterton)
