Nope. That's a specifically American view of what class means.
Yeah, dude, me and BB are both Americans. We were having a conversation in our language, in terms we understand, separate from the main discussion.
I understand that "upper class" doesn't necessarily refer to the social elite, and I'm sure he does to.
Why people are trying to argue with me about using my own language is really puzzling to me. It's like me going to Australia and interrupting someone's conversation, "No, a barbie is a doll. You're wrong".
I don't care what upper class means in Britain, because I wasn't talking to a Brit.

In economic terms you're bang on. But in this context it does matter, because the two groups are different and dont mingle with each other. They each have their own dynamics and behavioural norms. Since the post is about mingling with these people, it does matter which group we're actually referring to. The govt isn't making distinctions between different groups of socialites, it's just taking an economic view which throws them all in together.
What post is about mingling with these people?
According to you all, the upper class is among the .01% of earners, and don't go out in public or get photographed.

This particular report will be for guys in their 20's-early 30's, about gaming the high-end girls of Manila (read: light skinned, models, actresses, debutantes, rich girls.)
The OP (who is American by the way, and familiar with the American class system) specifically talks about meeting these "high-end Filipinos" in clubs, and posts several photographs. Based on your standards, these people are not high-end. You think this random guy just infiltrated Henry Sy's social circle with a bottle of Johnnie Walker?
So why derail an excellent thread with things that no one even said or disagreed with in the first place?
