Few weeks ago at my part time fast food place job. I was sitting on break with a couple other coworkers, both high school kids. One girl is probably 17, and the other guy is 15.
He buys her ice cream, for no other reason that I knew of besides that she wanted some.
He tries to have her share some of it, but she says 'no, buy your own'. A girl with good looks and bitchy attitude as a result of spineless guys bending over for her all the time.
He sulks and looks for pity out of her. 'Come on.. I bought it for you'
I had to tame myself a bit not to have a meltdown on the spot, where I told the guy if anything she should be buying him something, but at the very least buy it for yourself and share some with her. There were so many things wrong with that situation. I can't remember exactly but I did say something about it, although nothing provocative.
This girl is rather social and talks to people around the store at work, and guys are soo happy to have her attention when she comes around and speaks to them. They stop everything they're doing just to chat.
She doesn't ever start conversations with me, because either I am talking to someone else or doing some work. I don't make time specifically to talk to her. But I do tease her if that chance is good. Usually I call her out on her attention and probing, 'don't you have work to do on your side?'
It's nothing noteworthy by any means but I don't think she's ever been called out on by anyone, no matter how mild it is.
