I think he makes a good point about how abstract feminism can be.

"you're funny? I'm interested. you're not funny? not interested"

It's as simple as that. It's not that women aren't, or can't be funny, or that he's a misogynist. He just... wants funny.

I think this example can be found in business, politics and a handful of feminist issues. He doesn't wanna be fair, or equal, he wants to bring out the most laughs as possible.

I'm a big Seinfeld fan so I liked seeing him react to this.

Thank God that he hasn't caved in under the pressure and joined the mangina ranks like so many others.

p.s. gonna go watch a few episodes from my Seinfeld DVD in his honor now

He has the distinct position of being rich as hell and not needing or caring about offending his fans. Unlike 95% of celebrities I'm sure

He's one of us. Most celebs aren't.

My boy told me a story that when he worked with him he wanted to get some coffee. So his Assitant said she would have someone go get it for him. So he responds with saying no and explaining how he wanted to get it himself. She replied with how people would swarm him and ask for picture and his autograph and he said, "ok and, so what? I will just sign a few autographs and take some pictures."

Thought that was pretty cool.

I guess the feminists solved the problems of sex trafficking and other assorted serious societal ills if they seriously have time to complain about being "under-represented" on a fucking comedy show.

He's stayed pretty grounded because he was a hard-working comedian for a long time and only really found success in his late 30s, like Ricky Gervais.
