I think it is time to start thinking about giving props to the best thread/post for the year

Categories are Game advice, Travel report, Lifestyle and perhaps miscellaneous.

Any thoughts?

There were many great posts I've read this year.. The posts I like usually are posts I look back on, or save as a bookmark way to reference upon it in the future.

I searched back to find without a doubt the most valuable post I've read on RVF this year. I even made my own notes on this for reference. This helped me reach a new level in my game during the latter part of the year:

The 6 fig in 6 months in the Canadian oil sands is probably not only the best thread in all of RVF of all time, but it has been positively changing the lives of countless ambitious guys who were sick and tired of all the BS in the corporate world and took the plunge out west to a whole new world of opportunities beyond anything anyone could imagine. Legally. Just take a look at the countless testimonials of guys in the 100+ pages of that monumental thread spanning over 3 years now.

IMO, no thread has had as big of a positive impact on as many guys' lives than that thread! And needless to say, infinite kudos to Scotian, whom, a lot of us, owe a lot to him for having opened to us a world that we didn't knew existed! To me, he is my MVP of these forums, as simple as that!

Agreed. Props to scotian for his thread which has helped a lot of guys.
