As artists, peoples perception of us sends all sorts of subliminal messages. This will work if you are committed to yourself, and ur art work. Artist are all human beings, what sets them apart is their cause. 2 years ago I would answer I'm a rapper/producer/musician w,e when asked what do you do. Didn't look the part tho. Now haha idk wtf people think but its funny, girls ask what i do .. computer development. The more time we spend n she sees me being me, 1. Clear I am no computer developer, 2. I m a fuckin rockstar and your about to plateau . I wear Fur, Fitted pants, Dope shoes, Free Hair, most of all..the eyes. I was talking to this girl i met once be4 at some family thing, at a funeral. She is colombian and has nice thick typical features.. except i suspect the bitch has herpes( first time i met she had a really sus looking thing next to her lip and was covered up HEAVY with make up..but still looked gross!! so not wit. However I will lie if i said i didnt think about fucking the bitch on her back with her thick legs spread and slapping the thick part of her inner thighs, makes the slapping a raw pork shoulder sound, HOTTT!! She comes over to where Im sittin and starts yappin' and I am just lookin at her thinking about what I just mentioned. Have no idea what shes was talkin about and she says after a while with a test kinda tone but with a horny vibe, Yy arre you lookingg at me likee thatt?? Dont knw what i said and I looked away, she got up and was back before I even had a chance to finish a thought. Fuckin herp =/

I generally just drop it casually into conversation whenever I can slide it in like it ain't a big deal.
'We played there one time with another one of my friends' bands. It went okay.'
'I haven't used the camera since we did a photo shoot for our album. I should probably learn to use it better.'
Etc. You're generally not going to blow them out of the water just by telling them that you're in a band, but even if it doesn't work as big bait, they can use it as an excuse later to justify liking you after the fact.

This is bit of an old topic, but I thought I'd contribute.
The main rule I live by:
Don't talk about your group/band/solo act. Let them find out or spontaneously invite them to a show (make sure to put them on the list).
Remember, if a girl finds out you play an instrument she will want you to cover John Mayer on it. So before opening your mouth you should be able to cover a John Mayer song in private if you want to talk about how you are a "musician". Girls are turned off by musicians that can't play or doesn't know how to play the songs she wants to hear. For some reason not being able to cover their favorite songs means you are a fake.
For all the gigging guys out there...
Invent a stage persona. When I lived on the east coast I used to play in a loud indie band that drew pretty decent crowds. I made my stage persona "that guy that is unnecessarily into the music". It worked so well. I always had girls talking to me after shows even though I wasn't the lead vocalist.
When you are on stage, make eye contact during your songs with the girls you want to talk to after the show. Don't do a stare down. Just look until they notice then look to the next one and do rotations. Make them feel a "connection". Of course, it always helps to be a popular band that draws decent crowds.

Come up with a medley you can play of songs you know girls will like. I have a one where I switch between John Mayer and Jack Johnson. That drops panties.

Just read over this topic as I sang/played at a few weddings in the past few years and was able to get some bangs out of it... even after I duetted on the song that asked "I wonder what God was thinking when he created you". Jeezys...
Strangely enough, I knew several guys in the audience that are much better at guitar or piano than me, but it's all esoteric math rock and Liszst rhapsodies... I mean serious stuff, while I would usually just sing a sappy love song and play octaves with my left hand and play simple arpeggios with my right, or do really basic finger picking. As noted here, normal girls have no understanding or appreciation for the technicality that goes into becoming a talented instrumentalist, but get all wowed when you can break out a 4 chord Bruno Mars song. Guess I shouldn't complain as my half assed skills got me in it....
I seem to remember someone was a professional musician on this forum, was it soup? It doesn't really seem like you could effectively parlay music into reliable bangs unless you were some sort of professional or played in front of a crowd regularly. Could be an idea to join some open mic events, ignore the guy hate and mingle with the best looking girls in the crowd after your set.
