The thing about male prison rape jokes, is the implied sentiment that prisoners deserve it because they broke the law. However, the constitution clearly prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment" - the threat of sexual violation should not be part of the punishment. Especially since this is an additional facet of punishment that disproportionately affects men (larger prison population and more frequent sexual assault in prison).

Yeah and look at some of the bullshit laws like "3 Strikes" in California, let alone tons of other states.

Or minor shoplifting

So multiple non-violent crimes (don't even get me started on the War on Drugs) now have the potential for you to be locked away for decades and abused on the inside.

And you know that rape estimate has gotta be low compared to the actual figures, given the code of silence in prison.

If Feminists truly cared about "Rape Culture" (not sex they regret, not new invented terms like "grey rape", not sexual assault, etc.) male prisons should be their biggest rallying point.

I'm sure they could also get enough former prisoners to pump, dump, and take advantage of them too....can you imagine the attention whoring stories over that kind of activism?

Exactly. There was a thread talking about the *supposed* number of rapes that go unreported vs reported. You can never win the argument regardless of how many prison rapes occur because the other side will eagerly argue "oh well only 10% (or any other arbitrary number) of rapes are reported!!".
