I'm pretty good at buying beer. Even in Colombia with their shite beer that tastes much like American shite beer. Poker, Club, and all their nasty $4 Medellin rum. Damn, now I'm thirsty.

I saw lots of street dogs in Colombia, I guess I could feed them a hot dog and train them to guard us. I could go round up some arepas but even the street dogs won't eat that shit. I've tried.

As I get older I realize even with all the feminist and SJW Shit going on at the end of the day at a real corptype company if you are a MAN and you produce the company will stick up for you. I work for a multibillion finance type place. All the dudes working here are either married hard providers or alpha hooker and blow type of guys. All the women who work here are either secretaries or marketing/hr. All the guys who make money for the company are more or less protected. If they feel any bullshit going on they quit and take their clients and contacts to the competing place in the area. Then when they don't like the other place this company is glad to have them back(assuming they were making money for the company). Finance is very incestious and they don't care about your personal life only the results you can provide.

I've noticed the finger wagging sjw bullshit only happens at companies that want to be "cool"and modern about PR like Sony,Facebook, etc.

At finance companies where the guys are working 15 hour days, and weekends They curse, drink beer and liquor at their offices and they yell/scream at their secretaries and no one says a fucking word.

A few thoughts about this topic :

If everything is going well at your job :
-Document what you do, your accomplishments. Document both the negative and positive feedback you get from your boss, clients, and coworkers. This will be useful to "sell yourself" within the company, or outside the company (if you decide to apply somewhere else). It’s also useful to have facts if, one day, your boss gets replaced by a crazy feminist who wants to fire you just because she hates all men.
-Keep an eye one the job market... Look at the available jobs, at what they require, continue networking, continue learning and improving. Having a job is like being in a relationship... It's important to still improve your game.
-Save money, plan for the worst.

If you feel like they might fire you :
-Sometimes it’s better to quit, or change job quickly than get fired. Especially if you work in an industry where everybody knows everybody, your reputation is important. If you work for the government, they will always know you were fired and might never hire you again.
-If you feel like you’ll get fired soon and need extra time, just play the game and agree to take part in their stupid "Performance Management Plan". Don’t find excuses, show a good attitude and say something like "I will try to improve, thanks for the feedback". Meanwhile, look for another job behind their back, and start documenting.
-If your employer decides to let you go, they will probably give you a package (could be between 2-5 weeks per year of service). You can either take it, or try to gamble and tell them "I will consult with a labor lawyer before signing anything". You don’t even need to really consult a lawyer and can just bluff about it... Just call them 2 days after and ask for a reasonable increase in the package they offered you. They will probably accept, because they don’t want to go to court (time and money consuming for them).
-If you’re not sure about which strategy to adopt, I recommend to consult a Labor (employment) lawyer. A session of 1-2 hours might cost a few bucks, but it might save you a lot of money in the long run.

Get unemployment checks in the mean time while looking for the next big corporate opportunity.

One should always have an emergency fund. If your current job is lousy, start looking for another job or start your own hustle on the side. There's never a better time to start looking for a new employer than when you're currently employed. Don't quit as MikeCF said. Draw unemployment if they fire you, but better yet, look proactively to find a new job BEFORE you get the axe. Also, make sure you have six months worth of backup funds. Not having a rainy day plan is unacceptable in this current economy. Start cutting expenses and save up for the worst, but then make a plan for the best.

I have emergency cash and a two income household. At least for the first few months, a lot of construction projects would get done and done for less $$$ (because I could do the work myself instead of hiring help).

Not sure what I would do in the long term. My field is so friggin specialized that there just aren't that many other firms (that are worth a shit) to go to.

I feel like I'm in your situation. A field where the skills where it so specialized that it can't be transfer. I need to figure out a plan and maybe learn a trade or a new skill in case I get fired before finding another job. I definitely have at least a year of emergency fund so I'm safe there.

For those of you in super specialized fields, you really ought to take some of your free time and start a side hustle. Be it an online business, consulting on the side, personal trainer, etc. Find something that gives you a backup plan in case things ever really go south in your primary profession. Especially as you get older, age discrimination is real if you try to break into a different industry and you have no experience. Better to give yourself multiple outs before you need them, than search for them in a dire time of need.
