For sure bro. It's really a great spot, but this is not the prime time to come, at least not midweek.

Going back to Friday night, we were partying at Mandala, and the place was hard to operate in as usual. It's pretty much a dance game environment I find, but you can sometimes pick them off around the bar or on the outer patio. Mind you also, its pretty damn hot and humid so some mild dancing and I am sweating my ass off!

Two of the dudes who I was with, had banged some French Canadian chicks from Quebec City the night before I arrived on Thursday. We ran into them at Mandala and the dudes quickly latched on again rather than looking for new.

We are all kinda hanging upstairs when I spot my chick and her friend rolling out of the place and looking kinda bored. I beeline to follow them and catch them just before they are walking out. The chicks stop and I convince them to come and hang with us upstairs which they do. My girl was kinda cold to me at first but then she opened up after about 15 minutes and got really touchy and smiley. Spent maximum 45 minutes to an hour with her and told her we "were going back to my place for another drink because I have some good tequila there."

She says "You must ask my friend and if she is OK with it then I go." I give the most charming face and smile I can conjure up to the friend and say something along the lines of, "She wants to come with me, but says I have to ask you if its OK?" The words mean nothing here as the selling was all done in the face, tones and body language. They say words are only 7% of communication and this was a PERFECT example of that.

I could barely even get the words out and the friend says "For sure go!!" with a big smile in her face. Music to my ears! Bless these Mexican chicks who I have yet to be cockblocked by ever that I can think of.

I tell my boys I'm leaving and they look at me and say "Now, already? With her?" laughing. It felt like we had just met them and the club was at peak hour so they were surprised. I left my boy with her really cute friend also and I swore he was getting it also but in the end he got cockblocked by being in an all inclusive resort and he couldn't get her in. I told him this story also earlier, but he didn't listen.

We go back to my place and go at it all night and morning. This chick was one of the freakier chicks I've slept with in a long time. Super sexy with an even sexier accent which is even better when her English isn't perfect.

Last night we went out again, but the scene was really bad actually. Only little hobbit looking local girls who were not hot at all. Mandala was a cockfest and we literally walked into every single place open on 12th st and could barely find one girl without a bf who was fuckable on the street.

Went to Coco Bongo for their "show" only because we were about to call it a night and the guy said they had 800 people inside and he would give us free tix. He was right, they had 800. The place is basically a small arena and they have some circus like shows, followed by some bullshit music which has everyone singing and COMPLETELY captivated by the stage. LMFAO impersonators, some weird Tron show, and some other silly circus bullshit.

The problem was the place was such a fire hazard that we couldn't even get past the entrance basically and everyone is standing around the arena in the stands. Impossible to game in there when its that packed unless you get there early and set up next to a good group of chicks. Then it could work because you will have all night with the girls in there. Also perfect place if you're 50 and have your high school daughters with you and want to do something fun for them without much of a threat from the sharks such as myself and my boys.

Walking home I spot a lone cutey walking quickly who I stop with the flirty smile and "Hola, como estas?" in my very gringo accent. She just got off work as a waitress and was walking home because she was tired. She said "Wow, you guys are the only guys I have met at this time who aren't super drunk" This is NOT usual I'm thinking but the night was so bad that I couldn't even find a reason to be drunk. Tonight is her night off and she seemed genuinely interested in my offer of drinks with her tonight. I'm staying until tomorrow anyways so I'm really hoping I can have a mellow night with some cocktails and some more strange Mexican tail

If she flakes, I am going back for more on one of the other girls I swooped.

On my last night, this past Tuesday, the little waitress who I pulled on the street the night before flaked on me. Instead I just chilled out with the chick I pulled out of Mandala on Friday again. She's a real sweetheart and a monster in bed. Not to mention the sexiest little accent that coupled with broken English makes you want to melt.

I went to the beach on Tuesday and saw two ABSOLUTE stunners, one of which was possibly a legitimate 10. I haven't called any girl a potential 10 in the last year of parading the world from the beaches of Thailand to Brazil, Canada and back to LA. I suspect that they were Argentinian, but the only other thing I think they could possibly be is Israeli, but not 100% sure. They were both fine, but the better one was super slim in the waist, bubble butt with a g string, natural C tits, perfect tan, and flawless face on at least a 5'8" frame. This is the kind of girl dudes go "postal" over, no lie.

I saw them when coming to the beach, but both were asleep and had the faces partially covered so I didn't want to bother them then (I should have in hindsight), with the hopes of seeing a good opportunity after they got up. Long story short another group of about 5-6 players camped in between me and them and opened them in the water when they were cooling off. I think these dudes were Argentinian also. These dudes were fearless players with one intent at the beach and it wasn't catching sun. They could very well even be reading this. Props to them if so.

I watched the whole shit go down and I dont think they got any contact info from the chicks, but I may be wrong about that. I suspect the girls told them when in the water talking that they had bf's with them in the hotel, or something along those lines. They definitely got a decent to good rapport going with a couple 9-10's on the beach, and did it smoothly by timing their "swim" ahead of the girls right when they saw the girls get shifty and ready to get into the water, they moved first and the girls naturally came into their zone. The girls came into the water, and then they casually opened which made it less obvious than interrupting their tanning time.

After the groups went back to the beach, the lead dude in the group peeled off while the girls were lying down to chase down a cutie walking by herself and pull her #. Not a big deal in itself, but given how hot the one chick was, too much to lose for me if he was getting anywhere or had gotten her #. The cute chick walking was privy to his game though, and I doubt that she calls him back. He tried to give her a big hug and lift her off the sand when she left and she was shaking her head in a disgusted kind of fashion after that walking back down the beach. I heard some of his rap and it was kind of typical: Where are you from? Oh you traveled to blah blah...where do we go out here? Do you want to come out with me/us? Nevertheless, he ran up from behind and came around to stop her in her tracks in her leisurely stroll.

This was just mentioned to note that there were some other sharks patrolling the sand.

I don't like taking pictures like this, but I look at it similar to how a scientist may not feel good about doing gruesome shit to a lab rat. However, for the sake of research it needs to be done occasionally. Here are some pics of these stunners, the best I could do:

Other random thoughts:

* Scuba diving is really good in this area, better clarity than some of my Thailand dives even. Word is that Cozumel dives are even better still than PDC. Did a night dive for the first time ($70) and it was pretty sick. Massive eels, fish, healthy coral, stingrays, weird lobster looking shellfish, etc.

* Tons of very nice and modern boutique hotels in the $55-$75/night category which are central and dont give a shit who you bring in. La Pasion, Illusions, In Fashion to name a few.

* Off season and early week, Sunday-Tuesday is not the best and you have to find the bar which has ladies night for the given night (Rofino (5th and 28th-ish on Tuesday) as that is where at least all the local working girls will go. Next time, I would run Wed-Sun or Monday instead of Friday-Wed.

* Evolve Gym is modern and nice and is 100 pesos (about $7.50)/day. Yoga sessions there are also 100 pesos or 150 for both gym and any class for one day. I wanted to tap into the yoga scene my last day but opted for the night dive instead as it was my last night and I already overslept the cenotes dive.

* Nativo is a good little healthy restaurant on 30th Ave. which also makes awesome fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. The Nahuatl I think its called, is a 9 vegetable juice great for a hangover and costs 35 pesos for a fucking liter. Jamba Juice would charge you $13 for that.

* Victorias Secret, Hurley and Forever 21 have very recently opened which signals change. Noticed a FEW more Americans than in the past but not too many thank god. Hopefully they stick to Cancun.

* There were a bunch of people I was loosely connected to for the Mi Casa Music festival, but a smaller crew of dudes on the prowl. Here are the final stats for us as best I remember it (no pipelining of any sort for anyone), and I'm not counting nights where someone didn't go out:

Myself: 2 chicks in 4 nights.
IntlSwagger: 1 chick in 1 night.
Dude #2: 3 chicks in 4 nights going out. Including the owners daughter of the one bar (also worked there) where I smashed the waitress.
Dude #3: 2 chicks in 4 nights:
Dudes 4 & 5: 1 chick each but would have had at least one more if not staying at all inclusive hotel and not being able to get the girls into the hotel.

Overall, another fun trip to the Mexican Riviera with beautiful beaches, woman, food and nightlife.

I'll probably go back in about a month or so to dive some more and dip my wick into the scene as it gets a little more high season-ish.

...and it is annoying. Some are downright gigolos, you know, doing Playa for a living. They come here without money, but fit, tanned and, as you said, fearless (easy when they are nothing-to-lose bums). Fuc*k em. They are mean competition for me right now, they do the game seriously, and they are good, and numerous, like sharks... I like a lot Argentine people, but hell, those players almost have Playa in a lock... or could have : Luckily for us, they have a very bad reputation as being broke, and cheats!! I can't even knock the dudes hustle, they are gaming and they are good at it. If that's the competition then all you can do is step your game up. Get fit, tan, practice your game, and make some $.

You can use their aggression to your advantage by not being as aggressive in this case. It doesn't mean don't open, just a different approach. Girls will be more receptive to a softer approach if these dudes are all rah rah in their face, which they are. The soft and smooth approach got me the Russian chicks I wrote about on my last trip. Everyone was hitting on them and I came assertively, but smooth, giving them a breath of fresh air.

There is a salsa/bachata scene, but mostly just events and shows here and there at places like "salon raices" for the few salsa schools around town.

No idea how it compares to Miami. Either hit up the beach clubs like Kool, Canibal Royal, Mamitas. Get a spot in one of the beach bars like Fusion. Or pick a spot on the beach out the front of Mamitas, down near Playacar or in between the 2.

Besides the beach itself, what are the best options for daygame?
Hit the beach bars like Zenzi and Fusion, cafes, shops on 5th street for day game. During busy season you'll have day pool parties at places like Reina Roja and Be Playa Hotel which can be good

Do taxis there have meters or do you have to negotiate the price before getting in the taxi?
Taxi fares are zoned. The drivers carry a laminated print out of this with the set price for each zone so its all set based on this. Best to always ask upfront if you dont know what the rate should be or ask to see that laminated card. Most fares around town are 25 - 30 pesos.

Are there any strip clubs there? Which ones are the best?
You've got Marlin, and Chilly Willys. You've got a few smaller ones around also but strip clubs in playa are not worth your time.

It seems as though in Playa del Carmen, I would have to use a similar strategy to what I use in Miami, which is approaching during the day on the beach. The beach clubs in Playa del Carmen may be an added bonus. I have almost no success my whole life at nightgame in non-Latin nightclubs. Beaches, Latin clubs, and strip clubs are my bread and butter. The appeal of Playa del Carmen to me is that there are cheap, frequent, and direct flights from the Baltimore/D.C. area airports and there are apparently very reasonably priced, decent hotels.

I do not think beach game is your best choice, here in Playa. Today for example, very few girls on the beach, ok it was cloudy, but still, girls are wayyyy more numerous in nightclubs, on the 12th st... Also, some girls stay not quite on the beach, but far from the ocean, on couches, under some umbrellas, a good 100 yards from the actual ocean shore... they don't swim a lot, either... and are often with friends... how are you goin to game them? Night game is much better here

Take the bus, trust. Taxis half the time are not even air conditioned or has a shitty one and you end up sweating your ass off while paying more. Bus is the move.

As I just wrote about, the Argentinian dudes were doing well on the beach it seemed. Also, earlier in the thread you will see on my last trip that the Russian I banged was largely a result of beach game.
