I really want to hit up Indonesia but all the flights heading there seem to have long as layovers. I'm coming from Seattle but I dont want to spend 36hours just getting there considering I will only have either 2 or 3 weeks to be gone for.

I booked a ticket for July yesterday. EVA air has a great flight from LAX to Taipei arriving 6:00am, then a 3 hour layover to Jakarta. EVA flies out of SEA too, might want to check it out.

Added plus is that they have a new Cirrus style business class seat and they're the only airline that serves Dom in biz.

Yeah it's a long ass flight. I'm going in late November.
I would think it's faster to get there from the west coast but I'm not gonna check a map.

My plan is to bring a sleeping mask and a USB full of movies, and try to get a seat next to a quiet skinny chick (possible nighttime blowjob?).
12 hour jet lag will be interesting.

BTW has anyone checked out Exoudus yet?

you mean Eksotis?

If you think Stadium is nasty, you haven't been to Eksotis. You will be the only white guy inside, guaranteed. It's a low class local club, cheap entrance, cheap beer, a lot of drugs, many working girls.
There are two dance floors, a smaller one with good music downstairs and upstairs a big techno hall and it's so dark inside that you can't see your own hand in front of your face.
There was a police raid in June or so this year, many prostitutes got arrested and they found kilograms of drugs. I don't know if the club is still open, depends if the owner bribed the police

oh sorry, there is an Exodus club but i haven't been to this one, it seems to be new
you can check this site out though:

I would highly recommend Jakarta. I was in Jakarta over summer. Sarge during the day in the malls (girls working in shops/restaurants as well). Go out in the night for sure, but watch out for the pros. I went to Stadium several times. Nothing wrong with this place, if you keep your wits about you.

Guys,
I have just spent the last week in Jakarta and wanted to share my experiences.
I had a serviced apartment close to Plaza Indonesia, pretty expensive at around $75 per night, but it was a good location and had a large pool where I spent most of my time. I did some pipelining about 3 days before arriving and set up some dates, the girls were very responsive and although my profile was pretty lame I got lots of mail. The first day I walked around the mall and stopped some cute girls asking if they could help me out with my phone (I read this somewhere on the forum, can’t remember where but kudos for whoever put that out). I talked to maybe 4-5 girls and got numbers from 3 of them.
Walking around the Mall you get stared at quite a lot and you don’t see many white dudes (I am white with blonde hair). With the numbers I had got from pipelining and the few from the mall my phone was blowing up with texts and questions and lots of smiley faces and shit. Since I was only here for the week and I don’t have the stamina of Fisto I thought that was enough, so I arranged a date with a pipeline girl that nite. She was pretty shy at first but loosened up once we got talking, she was very cute and at only 21 (I’m in my early 30’s) had a nice tight body with quite a nice rack for an Asian chick. I had no problems with getting her back and with relatively no LMR, got my Indonesian Flag.
I then arranged the next date for the next night with girl number 2, more or less the same scenario, then again on night no. 3 with girl number 3. Honestly, you could do this every night of the week with a different girl.
On the Wednesday I thought it was about time I hit a club so I went to Immigrant. I liked this place and again I had no problem leaving with a girl, making it 4 nights with 4 different girls. The girl on the front desk at my apartment block no longer smiled at me in the morning, she seemed kinda disappointed, ha.
I kinda liked girl no3 so I had her come back and meet me the next night and I ended up spending the rest of my time with her, she was very cute and did everything for me, washed and ironed all my dirty shit before I left.
I was rolling dollo and it is my first time in Asia, (apart from a few days in KL on biz) so I was still finding my feet and getting to grips with the food and shit but if you had more time there or you are with a wing or crew you could hit a lot more clubs and tear it up just like Fisto, THC and the boys did.

I’m now back in KL, heading to Manila in the next day or so for a few nights then maybe to Cebu and then I need to get to a beach, anyone around let me know.

Bubbs:

Great detail in your description of your time in Jakarta.

It seems as if pipelining may not have even been necessary in Jakarta? It also seems that a guy may be able to get away with doing either day or night gaming exclusively and if the guy just make a few efforts to communicate with the girls, they are interested and will reciprocate?

How long are you staying in SEA in total?

If you are having pretty good luck, then you will be planning another SEA trip in the near future?

I'm not going to arrive in SEA until February... so I am still considering how and which locations to schedule.

Thanks man,

Yeah thats about right, you could just do that.

I'm around until December. I did both daygame and pipelining mostly, mainly because I was on my own and hitting the clubs is pretty expensive and I had too many numbers to handle anyway. I would have liked to do more night game, but I think that its better (or I prefer it) when you have a wing.
They seem to have a fascination with the UK, everyone has Union Jack t shirts, tops, bags, cell phone covers etc. so maybe this was in my favor. I didnt spent much time pipelining, just put up a lame profile and sent a load of your cute we should hang sometime messages to the fit ones, get their number and go from there.
Like others have said, there is not much to do apart from the malls, so try and get a pad with a pool so you can chill during the day. I started to really like the city after a few days, it grows on you.

I may plan another trip, but I will worry about that next year, just concentrating on this one for now.

Will it be harder for me to pull Indo girls as an Asian guy? I got descent game (I'm no beta, but I'm still tweaking things), know how to dress, and outgoing personality/ sociable. I think it's been mostly white guys posting about how good Indo is and just curious if I should expect same results. Thx fellas.

Most well of Indonesians are chinese so you've got some points. Approach in english, considering that you're american they will notice your accent and know that you're not a local. Unless you approach, they won't know.

Thanks Rustler, I'm gonna do day-game @ the malls then a bit of night-action...[Image: smile.gif] After I et my ED Thai Visa from the embassy, I'm heading out East to Badung and further out...trekking in the volcanoe's.

I spent 4 nights here.

I did not pipeline besides CS before and had a bit of trouble 'dialing it in' initially.

Since I had to work I used the 'Skout' app. You know the feeling when you ping 30 girls in a dating app and expect one half-assed reply. Well here you'll get 35 replies an hour later. It's insane. I gave up quickly, just too much to keep track of.

Mall game is great fun here. Indo girls aren't really shy and speak pretty good English. Also people here are crazy friendly. Approaching is like meeting old friends.

Since it was the beginning of the week I could not hit the good clubs since they only operate Wed-Sat. Stadium had surprisingly good music but just working girls. Not for me.

In Jakarta you feel like a girl in the US - you are constantly being approached and valued for your skin (rather than your personality). It's a new feeling for me [Image: smile.gif]

The place is officially Muslim but girls don't care as long as they can get a white guy in bed.

SNL are called 'free sex' here and many girls are up for it - no questions asked.

Watch out for the food - was down a day from food poising [Image: sad.gif]

My dates were from CS, wechat, Tinder and from my mall gaming. Some girls turned out fugly and I called it quits. 2 nights I got what I wanted.

Pros:

- as mentioned above girls will fuck you because you are white, it's almost disappointing a bit since it really does not matter who you are, these girls count notches with 'bule's' as much as we do

- great diversity in girls from ethnic Chinese to Syrian/Moroccan looking to Filipino or Indian features - it's all very mixed up not as separate as in other places

- it's generally really cheap, with drinks priced at US levels (or a bit below)

- girls are VERY direct, one girl told me after a 15 minute date, that she's horny and if we could go to my place

- it's the biggest city on earth and there are just too many young girls

Cons:

- 2 miles of traffic will take you 2 hours, this is not traffic, streets are an enormous parking lot, get a place near Plaza Indonesia and walk!

- there is little going on in this city that is not nightlife/ partying so work or sleep during the day

- Indonesian food is rich in calories and many girls are on the chubby side

If you are here you can have another girl every night for the rest of your life with minimal effort. They'll all be 7 or 8.

This is the easiest place to get laid for white dudes officially. I just wonder what you do during the day?

Pretty sure by CS he means CouchSurfing.

Glad to hear that Skout is popular there. It worked out for me in Manila.

Can anyone comment more on the girl-friendliness of the hotels? No one gives a toss in the Phils who or how many you drag back to your room, but I guess in Indo it's different (at least for a given hotel's official policy, but maybe less strict in practice?).

Couchsurfing yes.

I stayed 2 miles off the city center - big mistake since it took 30+ mins to get to town. I can't imagine any issue with hotels here. My hotel staff could not have cared less.

Most downtown hotels are pretty classy anyways. The city center is VERY modern - think Singapore.

I'm considering buying an Indonesian SIM card on ebay before coming to Indonesia late November, just to make sure I have a number for pipelining in advance, or maybe to give somebody on this forum who's going at the same time. Which provider is the best one if I'm going to Bali and Jakarta and will need voice, text, and mobile internet?

Simpatel works somewhat (data is really slow everywhere). You can get a Google Voice number that includes texting - might be easier.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Some guy posted about how it took him 5 hours and he got there late.

Thanks man, I saw it on Ebay sometime ago, it's only available from one Romanian seller... anyway, no big deal, will get it on arrival.

BTW, a Google Voice number doesn't accept text messages from outside of the US.

Moving to Jakarta for work at the end of the month.

I live there on and off, and for the amount of time I spend there I've seen surprisingly little of the city. Work and traffic largely dominates my life when I'm there, then the remainder of my time is off in god forsaken oil camps. If you work there, depending on where you live it can be hit or miss. I live in the south 3 km from CITOS, small house with 2 other coworkers provided by company. Leave for work 5km away at 7am with company shuttle. Get home usually around 7pm. I'm looking at between 15 minutes to 2 hours to go 5km to work, average around 45 mins.

What is the nature of your work? Where will you be working/living? Will work provide you a house? Housing is expensive here, 2k/month for something decent, and many places want two years cash upfront.

There is a bit of a difference between going here for a week and staying near Plaza Indonesia, going out every night, and living here.

On one hand you are rich here and have superstar status, you can go to the best bars, restraunts, and hotels in a city of 15M and think nothing of it. But on the other life is difficult and after two years here the bad is starting to outweigh the good at least for me. It's hard to have close friends, there's a fair bit of English, but not at the level to have good conversations or banter like you would with a native speaker. It's hard to have real hobbies because all anyone wants to do here is shop. There are some expat communities, but again the people are generally average, haven't met any great friends through it any more than you would by taking any other westerner at random and seeing if you're compatible.

You literally need to plan your day and activities around traffic. For instance with me, if I want to do something after work, like gym or rock climbing, I need to leave work right at 5, then plan on getting home at 9-10, I'll spend 90 minutes doing whatever, rest of the time in traffic. Taxis are cheap and plentiful though, so that's a plus. $20 for a 1-4 hour ride from the airport for instance.

The other thing like someone else said, you're almost like a hot woman here with the amount of attention you get. Most people want to befriend you, but it's usually to their own ends, to show you off, practice their English, I had one guy ask me if I could help him get a visa to the states etc. (I'm from Canada, but all the same in his mind) People view you as rich (and you are) but then they think about how that can benefit them.

It's good for a little while, but I think my issues here stem as much from the fact that i'm technically homeless living out of two bags with no real schedule, as it does from the day-to-day third world frustrations.
