Major League Baseball Thread

I've avoided this thread since I projected the Nationals to make the World Series.

But now we're Boston Vs. LA.

My take is I don't know what you're going to get with Dodger pitching. Last night Buehler looked lights out and Kenley Jansen looked unhittable.

However, both have been hammered as well and seems all the Dodger starters, Kershaw, Ryu, Rich Hill and Alex Wood are hit and miss.

For the Red Sox, I don't think their starting pitching has been as up and down, but Kimbrel and their bullpen have looked shaky. They do have a great lineup, but my thing about the Red Sox is that arguably their best hitter, JD Martinez, needs to play the outfield in LA where he isn't very good.

The one thing going for the Dodgers is that they've been grinding and battling for the past two months, so I don't think they're going to roll over if the BoSox take the first 2. I'm thinking the Dodgers push this to 6 or 7 games.

I see your Clayton Kershaw and raise you one David Price. Both of them just pitched (arguably for CK) the best postseason games of their lives in careers filled with very low October lows. They are the boxes of chocolates in this series, to borrow a cliché.

I wouldn't trust Kimbrel with a 10-run lead and 2 down in the 9th right now. He is a ticking time bomb.

He's not even the best hitter right now. His second half of the season has been pretty pedestrian.

Well then. Predictions? I'll take Sox in 6. Undefeated on the road against 2 better teams than the Dodgers in the playoffs? I'm buying that.

18th WS loss incoming for the Dodgers. They might steal a home game, but if even David Price and Craig Kimbrel are shutting them down, they're not coming all the way back even from down 0-2. Dave Roberts might become (if he isn't by now) one of those "just maybe almost if he changed one thing they'd be an ultra-dynasty" managers.

Red sox in 5. Maybe a sweep. That offense is unstoppable. They seem to score at least 4 or 5 every game and are lethal with 2 outs.

You know the old "hold my beer" joke? Dave Roberts, the manager, is baseball's version of that guy. At this point he will be remembered more in Red Sox lore for practically handing them the 2018 World Series on a platter than for The Steal in 2004.

Oh, and there's also this:

The fucking POTUS is taking a giant shit on the way he is managing a World Series game. This has to be the THE worst night of Roberts' life.

And this, as all the libtards are pissing their pants about a sports comment after another big bad shooting.

Kermit = Red Sox
bunny = Dodgers

That was a really satisfying ending to the season. So glad that fucking faggot Machode-o struck out swinging and almost fell on his knees for the final out against Sale. Steve Pearce got WS MVP, but David Price was certainly in the running as well.
