I took a core-curriculum course entitled "Communication and Culture."

One of the final project groups in the class did their presentation on the fashion industry and bitched about how having men as the vast majority of fashion set unrealistic standards for women.

They failed to mention that 99% of these "men" are gay.

It's men who are having ridiculous fashion expectations set for them.

And I'm the guy who never leaves his house without wearing at least a blazer, if not a full suit.

I hate fashion. Style is timeless.

This all just adds up to another strong argument for homeschooling.

I was homeschooled for 8 years and mostly hated it, but if I have kids, it's still going to be a serious consideration.

You can still live and raise a family in the US under the feminazi reich.

Just tell your kid what the deal is. Be frank, honest, and assume that the little guy will get it because well he most likely will.

Feed him a good diet high in protein, fats, and the like. Tell him to not be afraid to boss kids around. If the teacher calls him "bossy" laugh in her face. Teach him the art of agreeing and amplying. Build a leader early on.

If you find the little guy has anxiety, put him into a martial arts class. Read, get physical.

I'm not too worried. The only boys that get left behind are fathers that take a passive role to parenting. Be active, and encourage decision making.

I certainly hope that you are right, but in general, I think that parents are at a huge disadvantage, as they just see their kids in the morning and at night, but the system gets them all day.

In my case, I will be settling overseas very soon and don't plan on moving back to North America at any point. I'll probably come back often enough to visit clients and see family, but I will be establishing a permanent base in Asia.

If my children are minorities, whose first language is English, they'll much less susceptible to local social influences. They'll see themselves as different enough, I'm assuming, that they'll be less likely to think that their 11 yr old friends are smarter than their own parents.

Come on Ali, you're saying the same stuff you were saying on the 'Way of Men' thread. Things like Fight Club are either good films on the state of modern masculinity, or they aren't.
