Lithuanian Village Discos

Found this article in the Daily Mail about village discos in Lithuania. I imagine the same type of places exist all over the former USSR in villages and Kolkhoz communities. The girls in the photos are certainly no shabbier than what you find in my local club here in the UK.

There are more photos from the journalist on another site here:

I'd love to see someone do a data sheet on these places! It also shows you that you don't have to go from big cities before you're away from Iphone culture.

yeah I love those. I think we still have these in Estonia also but not sure. We sure did had them when I was growing up. Although I wouldnt recommend someone to go there alone without knowing anybody local. Even being with someone local it still can be dangerous for a foreigner, these country guys are bored and insecure and will start a fight very easily.

When I was in the Baltic nearly 15 years ago I visited one of these a couple of times and it was surreal. Girls would come and drag me to dance, the local girls we worked with (I was in something akin to the Peace Corps) would almost get into fights keeping other girls away. Local dudes with murder in their eyes would stare at us and wait outside the place.

Mental.

Evilhei is spot on. Watch out for the local guys. Places like these have a strong "us vs. them" mentality to anyone who isn't local or higher value in any way.

These parties are easy pickings if you're traveling across the country and happen to stop in a small town for the night (basically, fourth-tier+ towns or worse, 100k or less, but much more likely <50k for towns // village areas of 5k or less). Can be urban or rural.

With rural, if it's not summer / vacation season, you're probably SOL in terms of swooping as a lot of younger girls will get shipped out to their grandparents' in the summer // spend some vacation time outside the cities. Don't forget the difficulty of getting there.

Pros:
You'll have mad situational alpha status - in rural shitholes, the smallest travel experience / show of money will get you attention
Minimal game required for lays
Many / most girls will likely be <22
You'll have your pick of the place as long as you're not a total pussy
Zero law enforcement

Cons:
Nothing to see / do in shithole towns - aside from the nature
Out of the way, can't get there without a car
Average quality girls - youth doesn't want to stick around, girls can't afford good make-up, clothing, etc, widespread apathy for staying in shape, etc.
Local guys can and most likely will be pissed at a newcomer // city boy taking away their easy pickings - jealousy.
Fights will likely result
They fight dirty
Zero law enforcement

Summary:
Easy pickings offset by average quality, limited selection, and high risks
If you decide to try it, travel with a pack of friends who don't mind a fight
Is it really worth getting there? Especially if you're on a time / budget crunch
Wouldn't you rather have a challenge?
