Tropa de Elite 2 is coming out in October. I know sequels are never as good as the original, but I'm excited.

I am going to recommend a foreign Indian movie, not because it has great actors, and a great story...it's actually pretty dumb, but you can learn on what NOT to do when you want to bang and game women.

Since this is a forum about swooping and charisma arts, watch this movie and see how 2 wannabe alpha males are total betas!

They rent an apt with a beautiful hindi babe (how come I never see these Hindi babes in America? Only the ugly ones come here), and of course eventually try to score with her, but both end up as "Best Friends Forever", and some dumb chump gets the girl, because these 2 clowns helped him do so! WTF? - I don't want to spoil the ending for you.

It is available on Netflix instant watch, and the name is "DOSTANA".

You'll probably fast forward a lot like I did, but if you've got time to kill...watch it!

NOTE: Subtitles in English.

Inception - brilliant movie....I actually had to think inorder to understand it...how a movie should be made...

OldBoy - this is a korean flick but very good. I believe Will Smith is trying to make the American version for the states
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldboy

City of God and Tropa de Elite are classics...thanks for the heads up Roosh on part deux

Let the right one in is a classic. Of course the American version is now coming out and it looks well done...

I love Oldboy and that director's other films. I can't even begin to fathom how much an American version would suck, let alone with Will Smith in it.

Though I would netflix it someday if Will eats a live octopus like the original.

Best movie I've seen recently is "A Prophet", the French prison/gangster flick, I believe it won best picture at Cannes. The movie is badass, even though it's 2 1/2 hours, there's never a dull moment. I'm tempted to compare it to Scarface, but it's its own thing, it fortunately lived up to the hype, unlike the Italian crime flick Gommorah which I found to be overrated.

It's late at night, I can't sleep, I quit watching porn so here are some movie reviews. [Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif]

Do see

12 Angry Men- The best character study on film bar none. There is nothing better. **** out of **** stars.

Once Upon A Time In The West Sergio Leone classic and it is not just a great film, it is a work of art. The Wild West comes alive with desert landscapes, loud gunfire, strong breezes through boiling hot leather and of course, Ennio Morricone's music. The revenge story is extremely powerful and you won't know until the end how driven to death a man can be on his quest for revenge. Fonda (who was in 12 angry men) stars as one of the most iconic villains in film history. A story of greed, love, and vengeance, Shakespeare would be proud. This is easily in my top ten movie list of all time if not top five, it is just that good. ****out of **** stars.

Seven Samurai- I think the beauty of it is that you have to remember that everyone is acting. The Japanese village literally feels like it is 100% real and the emotions portrayed are the closest thing to authentic one can get. The variety of characters is a huge plus and each samurai stands out on his own so well that anyone of them could get an oscar nod. I think the biggest strength of the movie was the bond shared among the samurai. They literally act like they have been friends since they were children. The climatic battle scene is superb and the humor! Don't sleep **** out o ****

Gran Tornio Can Clint Eastwood make a bad film? Awesome acting from the man with no name. Themes of racism, nationalism and masculine development are tackled. The symbolism was wonderful, great pacing. I honestly think this movie is right up there with Million Dollar Baby and Unforgiven. ***1/2 out of ****

Inception Fantastic concept, wonderful imagery, great cast, great action, amazing direction. Not as complicated to understand as some make it out to be if you took Intro to Psych in college. The ambiguous endings are getting a bit old though (see The Prestige or Memento, both Nolan films which can lead you to your local Starbucks defending to your friends how the film should be interpreted) *** 1/2 out of ****

True Lies, best Arnold movie right behind Terminator 2. Jamie Lee is sexy (and so was that asian chick). Just great action. Drawbacks include the shitty humor and the Arab stereotypes. *** out of ****

Finding Forrester If you have seen Good Will Hunting you have seen a far superior film with the same concept;however, it is a good movie with a good performances by Connery and his mentee. Best scene of the movie is when he intellectually shuts down the English teacher (similar to how Will shut down the Harvard snob). ** out of **** stars.

Hurt Locker Recently won best picture at the Academy Awards. In terms of suspense it is breathtaking and the main characters intensity on screen is crazy. That said, I can't get past the movie trying to push down my throat that old "war is hell" theme. (I get it, I really do). It deserved to beat Avatar this year though. *** out of ****

Don't see-

Brooklyn's Finest Was hoping for a old school Nino Brown Wesley Snipes return but instead got four simple plots, one "why should I care about this guy" character after another, stereotype after stereotype (guilty catholic who does bad things seeking redemption, old boozing cop who was a victim of a give a shit institution, blah blah blah ). What made it even worse was that there were so many actors from The Wire on here, a show that portrayed what this film was trying to portray 100000000 times more effectively. * out of ****

Mulholland DrI understand it is supposed to be "hard to figure out" but seriously... she has amnesia...she wonders around L.A. we get to see some awesome visuals but I know people who call this the best film of the decade. Huh? ** out of ****

High Tension
Shitty French Horror movie with a terrible twist. Is the horror genre dead? * out of **** P.S. what's up with french horror directors obsession with making films where we have female BFF's with one bats crazy and the other either trying to save her or not be killed by her (see Martyrs, great film but very disturbing and hard to watch). NO STARS!

Next on my que

The Professional- Natalie Portman's first film and from what I hear very good.

Raiders of the Lost Ark- Apparently the best action film of all time?

Abre los ojos - You can brush up on your Spanish, observe solid pick-up, and enjoy Penelope Cruz all the same time. Much better than the English re-make Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise.
