These are excellent. Stalin one is awesome. New York in the 40's has a very magical feel to it. I often feel I was born in the wrong era. I wouldn't want to fight in a war though, so swings and roundabouts I guess. The one with the SS officers playing with a kitten represents humans at their strangest. One second committing war crimes, the next messing around with a cute animal.

I was going to make a "pussy" reference, but it would have lessened my serious point somewhat!

What I think is absolutely fascinating are the pics of New York Times Square - one from 1911, one from 1943 and one from 1972. The development over sixty years is just absolutely shocking. While our society swilling down the drain, it is astounding to see how much progress has been made technologically.

Plus, that photo of the "The Ten Commandments" from the 1950's was badass - I am assuming it was taken in Salt Lake City. The back drop of the city was real cool.
