Why Men Are Avoiding College

Excerpt from Dr. Helen's new book, "Men on Strike: Why Men Are Boycotting Marriage, Fatherhood and the American Dream-And Why It Matters."

Quote:Quote:

Why aren't boys more engaged in school? According to Sommers, "schools today tend to be run by women for girls. Classrooms can be hostile environments for boys. They like action, competition and adventure stories. Those are not in favor. Games like tag and dodgeball are out; tug of war has become tug of peace, and male heroes have been replaced by Girl Power." Boys receive lower marks from female teachers, according to research done for the London School of Economics' Centre for Economic Performance.

Some feminist types even say it's fine that older boys and men don't get a college education because they can make it without one. Maybe so for some, but many more will fall in the cracks, getting nowhere in a career.

The public school system is horrible for boys and it was horrible when I was in it.

You know it's fucked up when a teacher calls you the worst possible student ever, even if you have the highest marks in the class.

Public indoctrination by unions to make kids more "leftist" and "progressive" by shoving down LGBT pride, supporting the teachers unions and socialist parties in a mock election, punishing students who stand up via zero tolerance policies.

In elementary school all I wanted to write about was war games (strategy ala risk, civ), hockey (bios and hockey tactics) but was not allowed as I was supposed to write things about how school was great or how bullies are bad mkay, and write about socialist utopias.

And that was just dealing with how the school functions, don't get me started on the hivemind that you have to deal with in peers, fully indoctrinated on the system shoved down.

The short answer is that men can do trade schools or manual labor straight out of high school and start making money right away. 55% women and 45% men for usa grads or even 60/40 doesn't even strike me as inexplicable.

Quote:Quote:

By 2009 National Center for Education statistics for degree-granting institutions listed 11.658 million women enrolled and 8.769 million men.

some of the article was just using small sample syndrome to try to make a point: let's focus on hispanics and blacks in Boston and frame the article's thesis about that skewed small sample~

Quote:Quote:

When economist Andrew Sum and his colleagues at the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University looked at gender disparities in the Boston Public Schools, they found that for the class of 2008, among blacks there were 188 females for every 100 males attending a four-year college or university. Among Hispanics the ratio was 233 female for every 100 males. The facts are incontrovertible

Yup and in recess, no contact what so ever, complete ban on two touch football.

And when it snows, no picking up the snow as they are scared you'll form it into a snowball.

Men's literacy scores on tests across the Anglophone world are way down compared to girls'.

Many surveys even show that men now view reading as a feminine activity.

Part of this is that reading materials in schools skew heavily towards feminine materials...

Oh that's another thing, most non-textbook reading materials in schools are fiction novels. Reading time also only consists of being able to bring and read a fiction novel, no non-fiction allowed.

Trade in your books on Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great in exchange for some random Judy Blume menstruation book.

Don't worry.

The current system of female support and provision is overwhelmingly funded by men. Feminists diminishing long term male earning power is thus undermining the very system they're attempting to uphold and catalyzing it's collapse.

Kindergartener interrogated over cap gun until he pees his pants, then suspended 10 days.

In the latest incident of anti-gun hysteria to erupt in a school setting, a kindergarten boy has been suspended from school for 10 days because he showed a friend his cowboy-style cap gun on the way to school.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning at about 8:30 a.m. on a school bus in Calvert County, Maryland, reports The Washington Post.

The kindergartener had brought the toy gun because his friend had brought a water gun the previous day. He later told his mother than he “really, really” wanted his friend to see it.

The suspended boy had acquired the menacing, plastic, orange-tipped weapon at Frontier Town, a western-themed campground with a water park, mini golf and the like.

School officials at Dowell Elementary School in the town of Lusby proceeded to question the five-year-old for over two hours before finally calling his mother, whom The Post also does not name.

The principal eventually called the boy’s mother at 10:50 a.m. By that time, the five-year-old had wet his pants (which the mother called highly unusual).

The principal told the boy’s mother that the boy had simulated shooting someone on the bus with the offending novelty. However, both the boy and his older sister, a first-grader, say the principal is not telling the truth.

The Post explains that the principal — Jennifer L. Young, according to Dowell Elementary’s website — told the kindergartener’s mother that things would have been even worse had the toy gun been loaded with caps. In that case, the school would have regarded the plaything as an explosive and called the police.

Whoa, girls are NOT doing better than boys in public schools.
When it comes to more subjective fields like English and History, yes, girls DO outperform the boys.
But when it comes to Science and Math, the boys are still ahead.
Math and Science and objective.
Our schools are contaminated by the worst Black hearted Feminist cunts, I still remember what it was like.
Besides, these boys have seen what happened to their productive fathers that worked their asses off, there is NO incentive at all to do so.

The public schools have got to go, we need to go for a voucher system as advocated by Milton Friedman.

Parents should sue for multiple civil rights violations and intentional infliction of emotional distress. I can think of other things I'd do if I was the father.

These people must be stopped.

Men avoiding college in an age when a large % of college degrees are useless is a good thing. Better starting in a blue-collar type job without debt than a humanities/social science degree and debt.

When I was a kid we used to put on ski goggles and shoot at each other with softguns.. Good times.

Edit: In the not too distant past (1950ies), you were able to buy stuff like hydrofluoric acid and potassium cyanide in local chemistry shops, without any type of restriction. Life isn't as cheap as it used to be.

Schools have become hellholes because they are run by women, not in spite of that fact.

When a man is in charge, he makes you produce. He doesn't care how you look, what your "image" is, or where you're coming from. If you meet his standards, that's what matters.

With women there's always these bullshit X Factors that matter: attitude, obedience, how you comport yourself, etc. Instinctively, they reward Alpha Males and shit on all others.

Personal story:
When I started eighth grade as a new kid in a private school run entirely by women and nuns, they immediately placed me in the low level because I looked like I was out of a Rolling Stones photo circa 1965 and told them I was a budding rock musician. Also, I apparently didn't impress them during the interview process, which I found ridiculously irrelevant. Having a strong educational background in the Long Island school system didn't matter. So I just stayed in the low level, did minimal work, and had a good old time with the wild kids. When standardized tests came around, I placed in the 98th percentile and blew the whole grade out of the water. I got admitted to every elite private high school in the area -- even the ones the "good kids" in the high level didn't get into. And guess what happened? Yep. I stayed in the low level. Didn't have the right image, apparently.

I always went full out beastmode on dodgeball. Like Leonidas on 300. It was the only sport this scrawny bastard could destroy 230 pound fatass bullies on, and I took full advantage.

Follow the money. What classes in school are worth the most when looking at the work roles they open up. Math, physics with chemistry a fairly distant third. Who's doing well in these subjects?

Boys.... deep down they KNOW they can't beat the system.
They know that later on they have to rule the offices and systems. Woman cannot do that.
Woman are good for one thing: nurturing.
When a girl exists the schoolsystem she already starts hitting the wall. They become men after that.

We live in a society with lots of busyness but no productivity. What is the alternative? Let the engineers make their stuff and everybody can do what they want and rest on their ass all day? No, EVERYBODY has to work since it's the only way of controlling them.

I'm personally avoiding college because I know I'm not smart enough to make it in the STEM fields, and because I don't want to sink 30k into a useless, unemployable degree (which would be anything besides STEM).

I like to think that when this higher education bubble pops, I might just come out ahead of the people who decided 4+ years studying Russian Literature or sociology was a great career investment.
