I'd say this is the most important advice regardless of how much you end up drinking: slow down alcohol absorption with a fatty meal and hydrate before going to bed. I always leave a water bottle on my pillow before heading out when I know I'm gonna get trashed. Once I get back to my chamber stumbling and blabbering incoherently I will find it lying there and remember to drink.

The most consistent and effective remedy for hangovers is to drink plenty of water before drinking, during drinking throughout the night, and before you go to sleep. Salt water seems to work fairly well for me if I down a couple glasses of it before sleeping.

I appreciate those that didn't go on the "I'm alpha as fuck and I do what I want" tangent. Rest assured, I was doing what I wanted to do but I was looking for tips on how to do it.

So, here is what happened:

Before the event I had an hour long nap, a cold shower, and did a few push ups. I took a swig of olive oil (recommended by lurker) and ate a bowl of rice. I had a translator that went with me to the event. She was short, thin, and had that typical quiet Asian girl attitude. She was 22.

At the dinner, there were about 6 or 7 tables in which we sat by age groups. Me being 20 sat down with people ranging from 16- 26ish including my translator. I was surprised at how much the Chinese youth can drink. There are no laws on alcohol in china so ANYONE can buy alcohol and you can drink ANYWHERE.

Anyways, I sat down at my table and everyone was interested and asking questions about the states (At this district of Beijing they never see Americans). The girls were saying that I looked like Justin beiber, which normally I wouldn't have appreciated too much but I played the part and it worked in my favor. Eventually some women brought out the food and there was a toast. We all drank some Chinese wine and dinner was underway.

Oddly enough, no one asked me to drink for the first 15 minutes or so. Eventually an older man came up to me and he gave me a shot of rum and we downed it. After this, everyone was offering me drinks. Some of them were sips of wine while others were 3 inch glasses of beer.

I lost track after about 10 drinks. This was one of the drunkest nights of my life. I did not puke though. I was drunk, but i would have remembered puking Chinese wine. I remember eating rice throughout the event which eventually became a difficult task with chopsticks. I remember teaching the young kids how to play war with a deck of cards. I remember getting a taxi back to my hotel. I thought I went back by myself but this morning I woke up next to my translator. I woke her up, we took a shower, banged for the second time, and she left. She gave me her number and offered to show me around Beijing. All in all, the event was a success.

The district of Beijing that I am in isnt the cleanest but the logistics are fantastic. You can buy alcohol at any restaurant, snack shop, etc. Something else to note is that the taxis are extremely cheap. To go from my district to the center of Beijing is roughly 15 bucks. Keep in mind though that the city is more than 200x300 miles big. So far I'm liking my stay. The women are much better than the Midwest fatties that I see in the states. Anyways, thanks for the drinking tips guys.
