If they wanted to inflict more damage they certainly could have kept attacking the onlookers with their knives or guns. If regular Brits carried weapons, there is a good chance some of the onlookers would have shot the two Nigerians dead, eliminating the chance that the crazed terrorists would have continued their rampage. If another soldier had come upon the scene, there is a good chance they would have set upon him as well.

There are none of these problems with Chinese immigrants anywhere - they just set up shop and run businesses that people want to patronize, save their money, and encourage their children to gain marketable skills and education.

Although, some people may think I am discriminating against the Muslim faith.

I truly believe this event carries the exact same stigma as the Boston Bombings.

The underlining problem being the psychological effect that ISLAM has on a believer's brain.
assuming they are interpreting the verses in the Quran exactly how they are prescribed.

Ultimately, causing an intense form of hatred, anger and resentment toward non believers and oppressors in general.

The negative emotions grow stronger and stronger as one attempts to practice and gain a deeper understanding of the religion.

The majority keep this feeling hidden inside themselves, similar to an 70 year old Nazi racist who knows the consequences of these thoughts in today's society.

Others, block it out. Taking the good bits and forgetting the bad, with the reasoning that God didn't write those parts for this day and age (hypocrisy).

And of course, a minority. Let off their steam by making others aware. For example, preaching to others and specifically focusing on these dangerous verses in order to feel like they are doing good for themselves. Resulting in more negative brainwashing and irrational acts of violence that are believed to be justified in the eyes of God.

Which is happening already as seen from the last Islamic motivated attacks that have occurred in the last month or so.

In the future, acts similar to this in the western societies will be regarded like just another tragic regular event, so long as the US keep occupying their land and the minority refuse to rationally reject the darker scriptures and you allow two clearly conflicting mentalities to live together.

Sure, there a many great Muslims who practice peacefully but that doesn't change the words of the Quran.

Those I posted are just a few of hundreds of other similar verses.

Now imagine, America go to these Muslim countries then make all these excuses as to why they are there, dropping drones, killing etcetc.

The result has just amplified the practice of the darker Quranic verses.

It's very unfortunate as I can't see it getting any better. The growth of Islamic population is rising rapidly and the heart of the problem is the misinterpretation of the Quran.
Christianity has been adjusted over 67 times from Old testament to New Testament. The Rehashing has allowed the faith to reign in this day and age without the darker verses being implanted in people's head daily.

All those nice peaceful verses in the Koran only apply to other Muslims, not infidels. There is no universal brotherhood within Islam.

These two Muslims were living out their faith exactly as said in the Koran. They took the example of Muhammad (the warlord) seriously and were trying to emulate him. Qur’an Sura 8:12b, “… terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.” These weren't recent poor jilhadist immigrants. At least one of them was a Greenwich University student and was born in the UK.

The moderate peaceful Muslims around us fortunately do not follow the Islamic doctrine to the letter.

They didn't know how to load the .45 or some other problem. It apparently backfired when they attempted to shoot it, and the shooter instead blew up his own hand, including his finger flying off.

this a phenomenon that has also occurred in Kenya.I personally know of about 5 guys who come from London to join the Al Shabab in Somalia and fight there so called "holly war".
I don't know what these guys are thinking but they had one thing in common, they were all born and raised in the UK, by parents who had escaped the clashes in our homeland.
so they grow up being told about the epic clashes in our homeland like some kind of movie, and they want a piece of that.
Meanwhile those who fled to neighboring countries know how precious life is and cant believe how this guys are throwing there lives away.

I hope I am wrong but in the UK at present (and not just this incident, but this will boost the issue), particularly in areas of significant diverse cultures, (think Birmingham, Luton, London etc.......) it feels like it could kick off at any time. Would not shock me to see another summer of rioting on the streets..........not that I would condone it, but it feels "tense".

You say "reverted to Islam". That means they were born Muslim, got converted to another religion and then REVERTED back to Islam. Of course, it's a concept originated and spread by Islamists who, for recruiting purposes, propagate the idea that the natural state of every human being is Islam hence being "reverted" back to the "natural" religion.

They're not "reverts", they're converts - a term that irritates the Islamists.

People will start to retaliate against anyone who fits the description. look at america after 9/11, there were quite a few serious attacks on innocent Arabs. That was obviously on a bigger scale but it was 1 event. Imagine these gory killings popping up every few months, people will become fed up. Then throw in the crashing European economy, that will multiply things.
