Bourdain's show where he visted Maine in the US was one of my favourites. I've never been there but I would travel to Maine after that show just to try those awesome seafood places!
PS - random question but where was The Goonies set? It looked cold and coastal, was it East coast? Always wanted to know... I would go there too!
Yeah - I thought the food in Brazil was pretty shit. Fried chicken and chips or that black bean gunk. And don't start having a go at British food in retaliation - I'm well aware of how limited it is!

I get the sense that Bourdain will be going to more dangerous places, hanging out with warlords and such.
He's a present day Hunter S. Thompson in my mind.
And the Goonies was shot in Oregon and some lot in Burbank, Mr. Non Sequitur.
You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

According to a quick Google search, Parts Unknown was renewed for a third season debuting in spring 2014. This happened back in September. Haven't found anything yet as to where the new episodes will take place, but I'm looking forward to it.

Anybody ever wonder if Anthony kills it in these countries he's visiting. He's confident, has his shit together, he's always got a buzz going and if he's not particularly reputed in the places he's visiting he must have a large film crew following him most of the time. That has to bring some notoriety if not at lest build a little intrigue. My dude and I used to speculate on this back when we were watching No Reservations. The chick that he was parting with on the roof top in Columbia wasn't bad from what I remember.

Other threads and posts pertaining to Bourdain have covered this, but I'll throw in my two cents... I don't think he's banging carefree and cavorting with feminine 9's when the camera is off.
His second wife has been discussed around here before and I think he married her less for her looks, and more for the fact that she's Italian. He's said more than once that he was always envious of not growing up in an Italian-American family.
If you watch one of the more recent seasons he goes to Rio with his wife who is obsessed with MMA and travels to compete in BJJ there on the episode, I thought that was interesting because Tony basically says his wife can kick his ass. I don't know, but that would be a weird feeling for me, knowing my wife could beat me up.

I like Anthony Bourdain, he's the perfect personality for this.
