As a side note. Kudos to Mickey : Mickey Rourke to build massive animal shelter in Romania.

I really really like this guy.

French Bouledogues . They are playful, mischievous, emotional, and nice nice nice. They also adore people and crave constant attention and companionship.

Mine was one-eyed, which appealed the attention and the compassion of many women.

Yes! The appeal of bulldogs, but not very common. English bulldogs are great, but there are a lot of them where I live. Bonus points for shelter rescue: "his previous owners were abusive", and the like. I plan on keeping one at some point.

Oh, and totally dig Mickey Rourke. He makes weird choices for his characters, but dude's a badass with a big heart.

Yay to the bulldogs, frenchies, boxers while they're puppies

(and look like this)

Nay, as/when the above inevitably becomes this and bodychecks you out of the way to hump and dominate any female that might come into your vicinity.

My dog cockblocks me on a weekly basis. All those cute joggers... keep running.

Bulldogs don't tend to be jumpers, they're companion dogs, not really athletic. Boxers more so, but it's not too hard to keep your dog from those behaviors. You just need to be more dominant than the dog, let him know where the boundaries are. Consistency in training is key. You've got a handsome boy there.

I gotta labradoodle (half lab half poodle). Girls love her, she's got a shit ton of charisma, and best of all she doesn't shed.

It's a female, oversized at that. Some dogs are more stubborn than others.

I've never had dominance issues with a dog but this one clearly was the alpha female of the pack (3 litters).

A while ago I was in a wooded area and my dog was playing with her boxer lover, along came a pitbull. My dog runs 60 yards full sprint, bodychecks the pitbull to the ground and stands over him. The pitbull jumps back up and growls up at my boxer standing completely over the pitbull, and naturally the boy boxer arrives a few seconds later to defend his ladyfriend.

They were about to maul it each when I started throwing food about and both came back to me.

Second the French Bulldog tip... Great in the fact that they're pretty small but buff, don't need a lot of exercise and aren't big barkers. I've found the best thing about my dog is that she essentially screens all of the frou frou purse-dog girls away. I've had lots of girls call me out on using her for game, but in the end, they can't resist coming over to say "hi".

A couple of big cons though: shed a lot, they're expensive as fuck (got mine for $1400 which I thought was a steal as they're normally $2500+ nowadays) and they've essentially had all the usefulness bred out of them, so they have a ton of health related issues.

I've been thinking about getting a dog. Mostly for companionship but if it also helps with the ladies than why not?

Any suggestions on breads that work particularly well?

Doesn't really matter, b/c you cannot pinpoint it that much. Some women like small dogs, some large, etc. Most women will respond to how you treat the dog and how it responds to you. So get a breed (or mix) that works well for you and your lifestyle. Getting the wrong one will make you unhappy and have a negative impact on your life.

I have a small size dog that I did not train at all when we got her. Even tho shes cute, she has scared away a lot of girls with her barking. I'd say most dogs are a good prop..train them well!

Next dog is this ->http://www.google.com/search?q=presa+canario&client=safari&rls=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=2QNyUqa2OpPSsAS5z4DgCQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1436&bih=803#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=k81iZW8jyZ9WFM%3A%3Bsm3vhvK1dsbYmM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.mascotalia.es%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2010%252F07%252Fdogo-canario.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.tattoopins.com%252F467%252Fdog-presa-canario-de-rasa-dogo-i-love-my-%252FNENDMjc1QzczQTk2RTUwNzk5NzJCODY5NDAxOTk4QkNCQUUxODlGRg%252F%3B467%3B438

Pomeranian all day long.

My dog just melts the heart of even the coldest, most vehement hamsters.

I look alpha as fuck so I feel that the dog provides valuable contrast. +5 if she's wearing one of her doggy dresses. Then the amount of people walking up and cooing at her becomes borderline annoying.

I have had a lot of dogs, been around even more, and I would say due to the nature of rural Alberta ranch life have a good respect for them.

These are some of the dogs that have stood out to me.

Red Doberman. This dog was pure hilarity. It had such a fun and playful attitude but could switch on the protector side in a flash. Made for some great stories we still laugh about.

The Schnauzer was my stoic sidekick for much of my boyhood. The face and attitude of this guy was awesome. I swear at times he would snob me for being a pussy. He was alpha in demeanor for sure.

Our family German Shepherd was an amazing animal. It ran around the outdoors at -40 degrees centigrade and slept in a hay packed shelter. She patrolled non stop from morning til night and always had dancing eyes when we were outside with her. She is probably the most missed of all our dogs.

The Japanese Akita was easily the most awesome and terrifying dog I have had to date. The most loyal, protective and aloof animal, with the ability to shred other animals in seconds (she even got a seal once). She would not respect an ounce of beta in leadership, but was 100% in line under proper leadership. No matter how uncomfortable, she would always place herself between her leader and the entrance to a room. Hated most other dogs and hated weakness in humans even.

I take care of a girlfriends Boston Terrier when she is out of town. This dog is a pure pleasure. Smart, fun, good sense of humour (will do things she knows to get a laugh). It has also picked up a lot of her owners emotions. She can be very sensitive to discipline[Image: icon_razz.gif]

My family is using an Australian Shepherd at the moment and this dog is amazing. Might be my new favorite larger dog, we will have to see. A lot of energy, awesome herder, sweet toward its master/ leader, aware.

I hope so, a pom is the dog version of holding your womans purse, most women will assume you're neutered and on some other broads leash with one. Dogs are usually a good reflection of the owner

I guess I don't read into it as much.

Most girls just walk up to and want to pet her. I just transition from there so it works for me.

And one of my former friends has a blue nosed pit, and hes not tough or intimidating at all. I wouldn't depend on him in a fight, lets just put it that way.

I think they are more a reflection of the owner in personality rather than physical appearance. I think you forget that most dogs don't even have a concept of their own size and stature.

Maybe he gets bored easily. For fence jumpers, there's little to do except have a wooden fence at least 6 ft high and nothing too close that a dog can climb to get over (sheds, trashcans, trees, etc).
