Ah,my type of car guy. I thought I was the only one who liked these types of cars . Especially the big body cars built in the 70's.
That Buick Electra,I'd give it some tasteful mods with a factory look to it.
Sway bars front and rear to help with cornering. A modern transmission and a build engine build that looks like it just rolled of the production line.
The 71 ambassador reminds me of the 70 Monte Carlo from that angle .

El Mech, I need your evaluation on those models. This will help me debate against an old friend. Alpha or beta?
1) Ferrari 458 (red)
2) Aventador LP-750 (grey)
3) Porsche 911 (white)
4) Maserati Ghibli (black)

I've been looking at sports cars, specifically vettes.
My current ride is a really boring awd sedan, but it's got low miles and I got it new. It just has no balls. Especially compared to my sportbike that's close to 200hp.
Looked at some C6 vettes, used, but they had too much shit wrong with them even though they were cheap. Like throwing codes, signs of abuse and neglect, etc.
Then I sat in a new C7. Excellent bolsters and interior compared to the C6, and I dig the looks. 450hp. 7 speed manual. Removable glass top. Electronic adjustable suspension.
Doing the math, it's in the noise of what I can afford when considering 0% interest. If I get rid of the bike I can also cut down on the insurance of car+bike. I rarely need 4 seats, and went ~4 years with a much less powerful 2 seat 'vert.
It's calling me. But spending 50k on a vehicle just seems like madness. Even when I can afford it.

I'm trying to decide on a 90s sports car. Those bitches were good in my opinion, not full of wonky electronics like today's cars. Finding one that hasn't been modded to shit with a bunch of cheap parts will take time but I prefer them stock.
Late 90s 300zx, in particular the twin turbo
Late 90s 3000GT VR-4, in particular the twin turbo too.
T-Tops > Coupe > Convertible.
My finger is itchy towards a 00-02 Camaro SS 35th aniv. They're like 20K

I’ve been looking at getting myself a new vehicle. So far the contenders are:
Jeep Wrangler
Subaru WRX
Subaru Crosstrek
I need something good in the snow. I loved test driving the WRX and I know el mech rates it highly but I’m concerned about the ground clearance as I have to drive on a dirt road that partially washes out sometimes. The Crosstrek is practical (perhaps a bit boring) but lacking in acceleration. I’m leaning towards the Wrangler. Very fun to drive in it’s own unique way.
If only you knew how bad things really are.

Get Toyota 4Runner or Ford Explorer or similar.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

Gave away my Hyundai Sonata to my family, in preparation of becoming an expat.
I hate cars.
Can't wait to live in a place where I have no need for one.

I prefer a manual transmission. Maybe a Tacoma?
Just test drove a Subaru Forester manual...actually very nice handling and decent acceleration. 2018 was the last of the stick shifts. Definitely a car for gay Hillary or Bernie supporters though...
I suppose I could always put a Sig Sauer, Trump, and Gadsden Flag sticker on it... On second thought I’d definitely get keyed when parked in Boston.

All of those are good cars, it's the people they attract that you have to be mindful of, for you will be associated with them.
Tacoma is a good truck. So is Frontier. In Boston? How's the parking/street width over there?
If you want to really be an asshole, get an F150 with a lift kit. They make it with a manual.
