I have no problem with classic liberalism. I consider myself a classic liberal.

Let's understand that the whole left vs right paradigm is a strategy used to keep any serious debate out of politics. It is used to devolve political discourse into two teams cheering for their respective football teams.

I myself have given up on politics and trying to discuss them. Globalization has allowed us to become mobile. The easiest way to deal with politics you don't like is to relocate. I live in Canada and intend to leave at some point because I believe it has passed the point of no return.

Interesting. Care to explain?

The "enemy" is you. The "you" that is underachieving. The "you" that has shitty game, a shitty life, and no quality pussy. THAT IS THE ENEMY!

Think the 50's compared to today. It's pretty obvious to me. Men and women got married in their early to mid twenties. Broads were not going out to saloons to get blasted, both by booze and guys.

Hell, my mother has related to me how when she was young her parents would stop at a bar after church so g'dad could have a couple beers. Her and g'mom actually had to sit in a separate room as women were not even allowed in the bar.

If a guy wants one broad to settle down with, yes the old days would be better. But if a guy wants an endless stream of snapper he better appreciate what feminism brings.

Some manosphere guys want the fairytale, but a lot seem to be enjoying the unlimited supply of pussy so their beliefs are at odds.

Why do game guys get associated with manosphere guys?

A few reasons, probably. The main thing seems to be that once you've learned enough about the game it becomes almost painfully difficult to continue overlooking the glaring flaws in feminism. So you take a peek at some of the other writing out there.

There's also significant overlap in the communities and what they discuss. If you start on game-oriented blogs follow blogroll links, retweets, and especially comments, you'll hit political/lifestyle material very quickly.

Also, very loud feminists display intense hostility mostly indiscriminately towards all sides. They have a desperate need to categorize and label things they hate and have a very limited ability to deal with more than one thought in their head at a time. I think MRAPUA was the latest attempt to slap a label on Roosh? I lose track. Either way, it's possible that in some cases, the only reason the two communities are connected is because some writer at jezebel is too stupid to tell the difference.

That is fascinating, as one of my closest friends moved there two years ago (from England) and never ceases in singing its praises. Then again, he has the novelty factor with women and has secured an LTR with a nice, pretty, slim girl.

As I said at ROK (before comments disappeared) "left" and "right" are pretty useless labels nowadays.

This spectrum is one I find more helpful. Where would red pill be? Somewhere on the left side I would guess, but I think the red pill addresses both the innate and constructed facets of human nature.

That's a weird version of that chart that seems to reverse some of the poles. How are so-called "country-club Republicans" left-of-center? How is FDR on the far right?

Where did you get that?

I think it's a demographic thing. "Manosphere guys" are older, often divorced former family men.

I assume it means Texan Republicans. By that standard I agree that the average Republican candidate is less collectivized than FDR was. FDR's New Deal was unprecedented and has established all the norms of economic government invovlement.

The spectrum doesn't use "left" and "right." It uses, well, the two axes in the chart.

http://pjmedia.com/zombie/2010/10/11/the...epage=true

Quote:Quote:

The horizontal axis measures “government control,” ranging from a desire for less governmental power at one end of the scale, over to a desire for more governmental control at the other end of the scale. Most of you will understand this axis intuitively. But the vertical axis is a little more subtle, but also more eye-opening: it delineates people’s beliefs about human nature. At one end is the assumption that human nature is innate — that our personalities and other essential human attributes are built-in, unchangeable, and naturally occurring. At the other end is the belief that everything about humans is “constructed” — that we only are the way we are because of the particular cultural environment surrounding us, and that as a result people can be changed, through indoctrination, education, and/or alteration of the culture itself.

That chart's some sort of strange sleight-of-hand that's somehow trying to cram FDR, Obama, and Unions in close proximity with Nazis and "Fascists"--contrary to every political spectrum chart.

These are a little less deceptive and based on the more traditional political poles.

I would assume by just ditching the whole Left/Right metaphor to begin with. Otherwise, ideologues that were too locked into the Right/Left Paradigm would be locked in on itto see anything else )

Gmani,

Did you ever see the movie "The Matrix"?

In that movie, the main character lives in a dream world as slave to robots in the real world. He has a choice to take a red or blue pill. The blue pill allows him to live his life out in the safety of the fake world without being aware of the real world. The red pill allows him to see that it is a fake world, but he has to live in a world where he is constantly being hunted by killer robots.

Speaking of all this Political Spectrum shit, these two threads are relevant. It might be time to post our charts again.

RE: Bin Laden Dead

Here's my last chart.

EDIT: It's crazy that I'm still that far to the left. I would have assumed that I'd migrated right a bit. I guess that's accounted for by the not insignificant libertarian inflection shown in the downward tendency.

I've always felt that the left is like the left testicle of satan's cock, and the right is like the right testicle of Satan's cock.

Either way you look at it, they're both part of Satan's cock.

That begs the question: who's the shaft? And, does one nut hang lower than the other?

You can't throw out a dick metaphor without elaborating on the particularities.

Instead of just one or two axes we should try out some multivariate plots, mapping traits like:

Body count (own citizens)
Asshole quotient
Relative Integrity
Corruption index
Notch count
Flag count
Insanity factor

I took Roosh's quiz. Similar result, with a little more ballsy authoritarianism to go with it:

For shits and giggles, I took this one too. It's accurate, but they don't seem to like my answers. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Note: Some of the questions were written for chicks, so I answered those the way I would want a girl of mine to answer them.

Hm... Somehow I pictured you as more libertarian leaning.

I'm thinking the test conflates social and political issues unrealistically.
