hahaha... you gringos... think that we laugh because you are speaking Portuguese, in fact we are laughing because you accent is so funny not only the speach itself.
If a foreigner call me gatcheeenha I would laugh for days!

Ahhh bullshit. I'm told I don't have a strong accent at all. Most people think I'm Italian if anything. I don't have the strong american accent. I've heard Americans with bad accents talk, and I sound nothing like them. And I hated it when Brazilians would talk shit on my Portuguese and then speak English wrong right after talking shit on my Portuguese. That was one thing that pissed me off. Ya'll Brazilians always talk about how easy English is but then you make errors for days. I don't make fun of you guys for having bad english, maybe I'll correct you, but never make fun of you. That is pretty anoying to me. You can talk shit on my Portuguese when you can speak fully fluent english without mistakes.

That's fine. As long as you were doing it on your hands and knees [Image: banana.gif]
On a more serious note, it appears that it does not take much to amuse a Brazilian...

Easy Brandon, I was just teasing you.
Everybody does have accent, even among us and we make fun of it. My BSB friend says that I have a red-neck accent. I said that she has a carioca accent... and that's cool you know? It is not about speak in a right or wrong way, it is the sound itself.

Though if I would have to say any accent sounds hick-like, it would definitely be the paulista accent.

Hey German Dude?

Wie geht's?

I've been living in Brazil for 3 months this 2010, and now I live in Germany.

I traveled from Rio Grande do Sul 'till Salvador, where I took my flight to Berlin.

But most of the time I spent in the Sao Paulo state, and I gotto tell you this, if you go to Central and Southern Brazil for a quick pull, might not be the best place to go then.

I'd rather try Northern Brazil.

Living in Cities like Santos and Sao Paulo showed me the real meaning of "Persistance"

I remember opening several sets per day in the streets of Santos and also the beach and get an instant "I've got a Boyfriend" but since my Brazilian host told me, before I go there "Dude, Santos it's like having a bag of 10 kilos in your bag when it comes to girls" and it was true.

But, a good lesson I learned there, Persistence.

When I came to Europe, straight away after my time in Brazil, I was pulling girls really easy.

That was my experience there.

I declare again, Brazil is super big, and super cultural mixed, we can't talk about Brazil as one culture in the whole country, north, south and central are like complete different places.

Cheers!

Ginger.

So, how did you find the South of Brazil when compared to Santos. Did you stay in Porto Alegre? Why do you think Santos is so hard? Bad girls to guys ratio or just plain spoiled bitches?

No, I am not a caipira. But it sounds a little bit caipira to my BSB friend, as she sounds Carioca to me even not being from Rio, because BSB was a planned city something rare in Brazil, and people came from all over you know? So, there is not a BSB accent yet.
And I still would like to hear someone saying gatcheeenha! hahahaha

Agreed about Brazil being CRAZY diverse....

I've never been to NE, but even comparing let's say Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro to Belo Horizonte, it's a big difference in the attitudes of people and game.

Didn't know where to post this, nor did I want to open a new thread (or maybe I should have?), anyways, here's the link to the pics of the just recently held Miss Brasil 2010.

Enjoy and what do you think of them? Do you agree with the final decision of it all?

360 degrees pics of all the girls together:

Profile of each region's miss:

Based on those pics, which are your top 5?

I liked
Miss Parana
Miss Rio Grande do Norte
Miss Para
Miss São Paulo (u-huuuu)
Miss Paraíba

*note: Miss Espirito Santo (State of Vitoria) reminds me a girl who I had studied in college, but my colegue seems prettier.
*note 02: Last year the winner was from Minas Gerais.
