It's actually clever marketing. They just took a pair of pajamas and made them "solve" a problem that never really existed. Thousands of people will be placing orders and someone will make a bunch of money. If you can't invent anything new, next best thing is to take something already invented and put a new spin on it. In a country of 320 million there will be enough suckers to make you a quick mil. Kudos.
Btw, they do look pretty damn comfy.

Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe it's time to work on my 10 year old idea about a blanket with gloves so that you can hold a book/remote with having to lift the blanket up and let the cold in.
Sure sounds stupid but I really wish I had one when I was reading a lot in the cold winters
