Before he took command of the American forces he made it clear to President Bush (the first one), and the Joint Chiefs that he would prosecute the war his way. With no interference or second guessing from anyone or he wouldn't do it.

ha, I remember being a kid in the 90s and it was actually a GOOD thing to be American, and we could be proud of our country...I miss the 90s.
