Usually by the time you're diagnosed, it's too late for surgery because it's so aggressive it's already spread throughout your body.

Sometime preventive chemo is done to the brain after diagnosis-- not to increase chances of survival, but so you don't fall apart mentally as soon due to brain tumors, and your limited remaining time can be more tolerable.

Small cell lung cancer survival rate at 5 years: 6%

Let's not turn this into the 100th gay cigarette hate thread.

We already know that every great International Playboy, and every great athlete in history was a smoker.

Remember, non-smokers die 100% of the time too.

Yeah, if I see someone doing that, I will pick up a steak knife off someones table and stab the offender in the chest in the middle of the bar/restaurant/nightclub.

And who said that non-smoking was healthy?

Certainly not the person with a steak knife in his chest.

lol, your attempt at a stab would be easily avoided and you'd take a swift knee to the nuts. Dismantled with professional precision, the GManfisto's pockets raided.

Menthol cigs are bad for your lap rocket.

Roll-ups sometimes, Marlboro regularly, though love Dunhill Fine Cut, but they disappeared.

Ai, I've been some those menthol cigarettes for the last few years. Luckily I don't smoke as much anymore lately and I plan to stop this unhealthy nasty habit on the 1st of January 2013 for good. I can clearly feel the difference when I smoke a lot or when I quit for a while.

I feel less tired when I wake up. No loogies in my throat in the morning and lately during the day too. More energy overall and more energy in my dick.
I don't stink up my hair and clothes anymore. It saves lots of money.

Only upsides are that's it feel good to smoke and it helps to be social. Other then that its a no good habit.

Any links saying the menthol cigarettes are extra bad for your junk?

I went to a well known cigar bar in DC last night and had one...some $13 cigar, which was one of the cheapest on the menu. It was pretty cool, but I have to say the stink of smoke on my clothes afterward is really unappealing.

What does one do? Throw them in dryer with dryer sheets? Leave them outside in fresh air? Spray with vinegar? Throw them out and buy new clothes? Even a G probably doesn't throw out Brioni jackets like tissue.

Hanging your clothes outside usually does the trick if the weather isn't warm. A fresh cool breeze does wonders.

I suddenly picked up smoking about a week ago...smoking 4-10 per day and not really even sure why. I've had a few phases over the years where I'll do this sort of thing.

Won't be buying another pack, it's a stupid habit especially if you're trying to eat right and exercise.

Light up a marlboro in Canada and everyone standing around thinks they are smelling weed. Its pretty funny whenever I bring a pack back from the states and light up outside a bar.

Galouises blondes are pretty good. My general trademark has been red Lucky Strikes.
One thing I never understood about overseas is that I think European smokes are generally better than American smokes, like they dry the tobacco too much back home or add too many additives or something. I used to have to buy menthols just to tolerate cigarettes but once I moved overseas just regular smokes are pretty good.

OK. I'll put on differeent song. But the album never stops playing, you're just able to forget 'cause you're young, laughing, and think you're tough.

I've seen the cig packs, also the patients at the nursing homes I've worked at. The ones that smoke arrive at the nursing home much younger than the others. Their lives are over a lot sooner.

You been there too?

Maybe personal experience is why only ~3% of doctors smoke. They're the ones that have to come into that office and tell you-- after a suspicious initial indicator you have sweated over more than any pregnancy scare-- "I have bad news, the biopsy came back and it's small cell lung cancer. There's a lot we can do to help keep you comfortable..."

Hr feels bad, but inside he knows it's not his fault-- he's thinking--"This poor idiot, he could have had 20 or 25 more good years. Smoking research was well established when he was 18. He thought he was smart. "

http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx...eid=370661

Results. —Based on the data for 1990 and 1991 Compared with 1974, 1976, and 1977, by 1990 and 1991 cigarette smoking prevalence had declined from 18.8% to 3.3% among physicians (average annual decline of 1.15 percentage points);

But quitting is a process. You can learn it just like playing the guitar. People who quit, usually quit a number of times before succeeding. One day not smoking might your risk a little.

The song remains the same. It's just a question of whether or not you're listening. But we'll all listen when and if we get cancer.

The most effective cigarette I have used for an opener overseas is Camel Wide Lights.

They are short, fat, and white, like most of Emechs g/f's. Because of the difference in size, they get a lot of attention, especially in Europe. Then it brings the inevitable conversation about all cigarettes being the same. Europeans are so sure of their argument, until I pass one over. Debates finished. The girls love them, and will keep coming back for another. You just can't beat Burly tobacco grown in the Shenandoah Valley.

I would bait them for a free drink, then go for the close. Anyone traveling should pack 2 cartons. It's a smoking players staple.

You're probably getting hooked on the nicotine ( stimulant) because you feel sluggish or depressed for some reason. It's an effective stimulant, too bad it turns your insides into a cancerous predatory alien which destroys you.

You'd be a fuck of a lot better off with coffee which is turning out to have some protective effects.

That is a great example of a non-sequitur. It doesn't really rise to the level of being an argument of any kind.

I don't want to be an asshole, but we don't need wanton smoking hate in a thread made for and by smokers. I appreciate the cigarette recommendations of my fellow rooshers and this kind of baiting is just going to get the thread closed. We're all adults here.

Good tip on the Camel Wides Ali, going to have to try those sometime. I have used the double-lighting tip to great effect.

Yeah
Don't ever do that
That's just disrespectful.

I hate it when I let somebody
take a toke of my joint and the
fucker just blows the smoke out right after.

Makes me want to pimp slap him.

I don't smoke Tobacco that much, I prefer Cannabis.

I like smoking,
and to me there is nothing better
than waking up after a night of fucking
go to the balcony and light up a nice joint.

However when I go out and want to smoke
I'll buy a pack of Marlboro menthol

Not the best but it gets the job done.

I think the amount of tobacco you can travel with varies by destination county. You're only allowed to take one carton of cigarettes to Canada, for instance.
