G,

I noticed you said the girls aren't as easy as you thought; I concur about Montreal. What is your pros vs cons about the women?

What's the first thing you tend to do when you go into a place like Koko solo? I'd like to get into this kind of thing but I have never really done night game and am not sure what to do once I actually get in there.

Yeah, my first trip was short to Montreal and I did really well.

It kind of gave me unrealistic expectations about how well I would do on a 4 month trip.

I went out 3-5 nights per week hard. I did swoop a bunch of girls, and I met 3 girls that I really liked and will keep in touch with.

But I took a ton of losses. Girls are just not easy there. They are kind of tough to close.

Pros:

Girls are fly in Montreal.
Girls are plentiful.
Girls have good style.
Girls wear heels non-stop.
Girls are pretty cool there too.

Cons:

Hard to close.
Competition is pretty strong.

What I do when I go to a place like Koko is to lock it down.

I have been going out for a long time, and I can "read" nightlife venues very well. I knew Koko was going to be a good place.

So, what I did was:

1. Lock down the door guys. I rapped out with them a bunch before going in. I also would say goodbye to them and thank them on my way out. And let them see the fly girl I was leaving with. This way they know I am stone cold.

2. Say hello to bouncers. Get them on the team. I do a lot of hand shaking, and act like I run the joint.

3. I locked down the bartender in the back. Greased him, and got rapport going. This way I could post and chop at his bar and spark cigarettes. I quickly recognized this as the Vortex Zone.

4. Once I did all that, it was time to operate and run up the score in the place.

That is basically a 4 point plan.

Once you have this going, you can just roll back in the place anytime and continue where you left off.

Koko is a great spot; fly girls in heels, and a high end crowd for a nightlife venue.

It is too bad the terrace closed in July.

Very sound advice indeed. Do you think that a eighteen year old could pull this off? Also, once you settle in the Vortex Zone, do you just camp there until you can open a girl? Once the venue is all good and you're in the Vortex Zone, how would you say your interaction with the girls goes through?

No.

This is Game for a older cat. Although you can still take parts of it and mold it to your Game.

When I was younger my Game was way different. I really need to write more about my Game when I was young.

My demographic of girls I swoop is mostly 22-30. But it's the kind of 22 year old than hangs out with older guys. There are two types of 22 year old girls:

1. The type that hangs with guys her own age.

2. The type that hangs with older guys.

I swoop the later.

You should try Club 1234. I met two fly 18 year old girls out front the place. I think it's a younger spot.

Some clubs in Montreal I think you have to be 21 to get in. And some are 18. At least that was what those two girls told me. Koko is 21 and up I believe.

Maybe someone can clarify?

Yep. Or even better, have them open me.

Rap out, spit Game, offer a drink (I know, I am Beta), smoke, spit more Game and try to close.

The usual.

Do you only open girls who are alone and if not, how do you handle opening girls who are with other guys or do you just not do it?

Also would love to hear about your game when you were younger!

Matches my experience, though I was only there for a week. I'm talking about French girls, not Canadians from other parts.

I try to swoop whatever the Nightlife Gods serve up for me; groups of girls, solo girls, mixed groups, two sets.

Yeah, I am not exactly sure why that is.

Maybe someone can chime in.

I personally thought I would do way better there on the quantity front.

I basically brought my "A Game" the entire time and it took all my skills to have any type of success.

Don't get me wrong, I dig the place and will probably go for a month at least this summer too, but the place is far from easy.

Yeah Montreal is not easy considering the high number of quality chicks. One problem is a lot of younger chicks hang out at those venues on STL and Crescent. They aren't serious about being seduced by a new guy in town.

For other girls, I think with more time in Montreal the "mini-relationship" setup is the move. Girls are more comfortable if they think you'll be around for a while. I think staying for a few months like G did is the ideal scenario for getting the most out of that place.

G's recap is pretty spot on but I disagree with the con about strong competition if he's talking about local guys. For me Montreal is similar to the rest of Canada in that I feel like I have a pretty clear lane to talk to whatever girl I want. Most Canadian guys are laid back and don't seem to aggressively go after their women.

Yeah, I agree with you on that too.

Guys are non-aggressive and very non-violent.

But I think they do dress pretty damn sharp.

I saw mad cats in Sport Coats and Suits at the venues I was hitting. I was actually pretty surprised at the "guys who were dressed fresh" ratio. More than most cities I could think of. Although it seems like a lot of people are dressing better these days. I think The G Manifesto has finally influenced the world. I was going to write on that topic soon.

I should have been more specific when I said "the competition is strong".

More from a Style standpoint. Not necessarily from a "Game standpoint" or "Toughness standpoint" or "Aggression standpoint".

Also, guys seemed to "lock up" girls way more when I was there this summer. They would "close talk" them and prevent openings for me.

Yeah, that is a good move.

Same night swoops were hard to come by.

I did better with meeting girls, getting numbers, setting dates, getting to know people etc.

More "Mini-Relationship Game".

Thanks G.

This was my experience as well. Someone needs to crack the code, Quebecois chicks, "French Montreal Girls", are super skeptical when you step to them.

Even after they warm up to you, closing is not easy. I was only there for 4 days but I will re-evaluate this summer because they're some truly smokin' hot women.

I think you mean Underdog.

Yeah, that is the spot. I love that place.

Unfortunately, I didn't go too much. I was nursing a shoulder injury I sustained at The Wildcard Gym and was really unfocused on boxing this summer.

I instead did a bunch of swimming. I will go for sure when I go back.

It is funny because now I am super focused on boxing again. Boxed today and will do it tomorrow.

I go thru phases.

This is exactly why I said I just moved there. I even put on facebook and badoo...
I lived in montreal. When I was leaving... I said I am coming right back.

I missed your question.

I think I mentioned before that I wasn't boxing heavy in Montreal. I hurt my shoulder at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood before I went.

I was mostly swimming and working out on my own in Montreal. I also go thru phases where I don't box. I kind of peaked at Wildcard and needed a break.

Which is funny though since my shoulder is totally healed and I have been boxing super heavy since late October.

I feel I am in the best shape ever now.

G,

Romados is dope...but you gotta check out Jano. It's a few doors down from Schwartz's on St Laurent.

Good place, nice vibe, mostly a date or dolo spot but the chicken is better than Romados for sure. The best peri-peri sauce this side of Lisbon.

It's interesting hearing Americans say Montreal is not a easy nut to crack as far as the ease of Girls. I've got a lot of buddies whom get their shit wet each time they go there, in Canada its probably in the top 5 for places that are easy as hell to get tail in (Banff, Whistler, MTL, Craven, Any non GTA Ontario University not named Waterloo).

I sometimes think American cats are too cool for their own good in MTL and sometimes get tricked into the foreign and finesse vibe the girls there give off there, when they are ratchet party girls whom just like to get down and have a good time. American kats might be to tame for the Quebec girls lol. Ya'll are cool and have the vibe and swagger down but sometimes a bottle of Jamaican Overproof and a shit ton of energy is all you need.

Interesting.

It should be noted (by my Data Sheets) that I put all my eggs (so to speak) into the High-End Nightlife of Montreal Basket. For better or for worse.

Highend Bars, Restaurants and Nightclubs. These weren't the kind were all you need is "a bottle of Jamaican Overproof and a shit ton of energy".

And not sure about the "American kats might be to tame for the Quebec girls" thing either. Hell, I have no problem Freebasing Cocaine and Shooting Heroin if that is what it takes to swoop the hottest girls. I will go head to head with the top people in Montreal and they will end up overdosed and jittery if they try and keep up. Trust me, I have been thru the Nightlife wars and come out the other end.

Those just weren't the kind of joints I was rolling.

I don't doubt that someone could "get their shit wet each time they go there" if they roll the lower end joints.

That was just not my steez.

Which places were your friends rolling that "got their shit wet each time they went there"?

Which nights?

I have to agree with this. It was about the same level of difficulty as DR IMHO. Maybe easier.(if you exclude pros and semi-pros form the equation). It will throw you off as an American dude because the people seem kinda stuck up.(They only LOOK that way)

Those girls are DTF. The second bang I got last time i was there...has offered me a plane ticket back to MTL at least 4 times since I left. Shes a bartended so shes a little frank for a girl...and says."These girls here are so desperate, you can be a ugly dude with no job and still get laid...its so annoying"
I only have a few days of experience so I still don't draw definite conclusions. I just can't imagine that place during the summer.
