Does your apartment smell of rich mahogany?

Wondering if anyone here pays any mind to keep their places smelling manly ... but not over-the-top? I'm able to keep my place smelling neutral most of the time, but in the winter the air tends to get stale quickly. I occasionally light a candle in my apartment with something non-floral, like sandalwood, apple-cinnamon or pumpkin-spice depending on the time of year, particularly if I'm expecting to have a girl over in upcoming ~12 hours.

Have any of you guys have put more thought into this? I've gotten compliments on bringing girls over when they first walk in, "oh, your place smells nice... what is it exactly?"

(edit: not sure if this belongs in the game or lifestyle forum)

I have candles going quite often. They're a more subdued scent than incense or air freshener.

I don't think I've seen a sandalwood candle before. I may have to look into that. I usually stick with the apple-scented candles - I don't care for the pumpkin scent, and most everything else smells a little [Image: gay.gif] to me.

When the weather is nice enough to have the windows open, I'll burn sandalwood incense, otherwise I stick with candles. In my opinion, burning a whole incense stick can make a room or small apartment quite stuffy.

As long as your apartment doesn't stink I hardly see what difference it makes. I leave my windows open almost all the time for fresh air flow. I live 3 stories up in a place with a mild climate so I can do that.
Sometimes I'll use that sprinkle on carpet deodorizer that you vacuum up. That leaves a good smell.

I burn all sorts of incense. Sometimes it's too strong as it's burning, but the smell that accumulates over months is awesome. I mix it up, sometimes cedar, sometimes sandlewood

I insist on Hem Champa incense. Smells like a chapter from the kamasutra.
