If we're talking movies, I like them to be super-stylized--with dudes flying through the air, if need be. For real fights, I like MMA-style highlights. I think of those separately.

I'm learning a style based on Wing Chun, and the "Grandmaster" of the style claims his Sifu (instructor) learned directly under Ip Man. Also Ip Man is famous for being Bruce Lee's only martial arts instructor.

Dope. I actually just saw it for the first time about a month ago. Made me want to learn Wing Chun myself. That fight scene is even crazier within the context of the movie's storyline. I've heard the 2nd one is good too and it's on Netflix...I've been meaning to check it out.

One of my all-time favourites is the scene from the Korean film Oldboy in which Oh Dae-su vanquishes several dozen thugs with a claw-tooth hammer. It's all the more impressive for having been filmed entirely in a single shot. If you haven't seen the film, I highly recommend doing so. It's a pretty stunning bit of film making.
