Election Day

That time is upon us.. the most powerful position on the planet (President of USA) will be chosen by the voters today.. all of the threads on the Presidential debates or political jabs at Obama/Romney come to a culmination today.

Someone is going home (conservatives or liberals) unhappy at the direction the country is going to go for the next 4 years

By all accounts, heading into today, Obama is the favorite and Romney is going to have to pull off something great. He'll most likely need a sweep of the swing states or to capture a state or two previously thought Obama-locked.

Will there be a conspiracy to limit the Democrat vote, will that play a role in the proceedings?

This will be a wild ride!

Next election I'm voting early. I really don't feel like going to my crowded polling station. The local Republican Party campaigning twenty feet from the lobby door also increases my aggravation going into today.

One thing about today is sure - I won't be turning on the television.

Guys, don't you have something like "pre-election silence period" in the USA?

It's funny, I personally believe I would benefit more under Obama's presidency, and I will vote for him, but there is just a small part of me that would feel sorry for Romney/Ryan and their supporters should they lose.

I mean we have to take into account the human element to this. Whoever loses, particularly if its Romney/Ryan who have not tasted the White House, will forever live with the notion that they lost out on their dream. The entire conservative base, tea party and all, are very fervent in their beliefs that the US is being taken over by 'socialism', and you would have to feel sorry for them even if you disagree with them that the election did not go their way. I might even feel sorry for some of the talking heads over on FOX, and Limbaugh, who keep reporting a Romney sure win, should Obama win this election

Either Brian and Tenderman are going to be badly ridiculed (although that's already happening), or the rest of this forum is going to meme heaven...

It hasn't been long enough for Germans to start talking smack about the way the US does things, if you know what I mean.

This is America, my friend. We believe in grand finales.

Spent last night at a dinner party with some very prominent Romney supporters. They seemed pretty convinced of his miraculous victory. But I think the President's got this one.

Going to be a close one, either way.

Me? Ridiculed?

I take it as a badge of honor that doltish brain dead lefties have contempt for my positions, and wish cancer upon Fox news employees.

Hey Billy Boy pal at #8, you forgot those horrible demons the Koch brothers and Karl Rove. Oh, sorry...Rove does work for Fox.

It's amazing to me that guys who believe in the freedom of game, and the right to fuck whomever they want, bow down to the statist collectivist vision of the messianic community organizer who for some unknown reason couldn't halt the oceans's rise and start the planet healing, but certainly buys into the femcunt-femnazi vision of society.

Really, some of you guys actually LIKE President Golf Pants? President Bracket Wager? President Dronekiller?

Meanwhile, it doesn't matter WHO wins...this country is in for a very bumpy ride. It's simply going to be an issue of how bad the ride is going to be.
