gadabout, have you tried Pacha the club? When I was in Moscow in September 2010 I went there to this date in my life nothing has ever come close to the quality I saw in that club. Like seriously nothing I've ever seen or been a part of can touch the amount of 8+ girls there.

I am reluctant to go to the high class venues for now because the girls are tough and in groups. I really need a wing man for these places. Pacha will just be eye candy.... terrible place for pick up.
I went to a more alternative bar last night with a club next door and the talent was still pretty good, I got 2 numbers with girls doing all the approaching.
I am realising that my standards are now frustratingly high. It's hard to settle for a 7 when there are so many 8+'s.
One nights stands are a massive no no with the classy girls so tonight I'm just gonna sod it and nab myself a 7.

Exactly.

The standards of women are so incredibly high that if you're not getting them it can be a frustrating experience. Keep plugging away though and you're bound to get one who is into you. It's a numbers game,keep approaching.

Why don't you head up to MGU and hit on some students. I don't know if their stolovaya is open to the public or not but you could probably blag your way in. I always found the Alexandrovsky Gardens a great spot because of all the provincial Russian tourists visiting. They've rarely seen a foreigner before so if you get talking to a group you'll notice a huge difference in attitudes. I've done that in summer though so maybe there won't be many at this time.

Moscow is an excellent place for Daygame. Firstly I must stress that only 50% speak English but when they do it's awesome. You can meet girls anytime of the day absolutely anywhere. THe only opening line I have used is "excuse me do you speak English" and away they go.... seriously I barely need to utter a word, and they always give me their facebook or number without asking.

I think I should take advantage of my Russian speaking (my grandma always said it would come in handy, but I don't think she meant for banging Russian girls) ability. Exactly.
Also I tend to be focusing my attention to the younger girls who I know will speak English. Under 24. A lot of them still live with their parents, dont drink and don't smoke.
Many of the girls I meet in the day dont like nightlife because they say it is tacky, corrupt and expensive. I cannot argue with that. You meet a totally different kind of girl in the day than you do in the night.

I noticed the exotic factor when I was there too.

St. Pete's probably has a classier default female, more likely to speak English, but Moscow has sheer numbers on its side. (Been to both, although only briefly). Moscow will also have many more provincial girls, if you like Tatar/Siberian/Central Asian types. :-)

It might not be possible…I tried to take a picture of a super-long subway escalator in St. Petersburg one time (actually all the metro escalators in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kyiv seemed to be really long) and an old guard came *out of a booth in the wall* and fined me (even though I deleted the picture on my digital camera). (I think it was around a $1.25 USD lol).

P.S. The escalators are all like that because the subway stations were designed to serve as fallout shelters in case of a nuclear war with the United States.

Few more bar run downs:
Temabar - no face control, people dress casually decent looking girls. Horrible layout with no where to stand!
Gogol - I think you could easily pick up here. Average girls but some 7's wondering around.
Bar 1920's - really fun.. my kind of vibe. Good indie/rock alternative music. Lots of hot girls. Go early on fri and sat to get in. Next door is Che which is always packed with girls.

Friday Night.

Here one of the girls friends who I was with started hitting on me. Highly confusing but fun all the same. TO cut a long story short I take the one who is hitting on me home. And I take the other girls number. She wants to take me to some exhibition. If she finds out I did her friend then obviously that will not happen. She may have been a point higher but I decided to go for the sure thing.

Met an English guy who just moved from Kiev who says hes been killing it over there. I do not know if to believe him but I think he made my mind up to go to Kiev.

So my initial thought on Russian girls being difficult has been removed completely. I am not agressive sexually at all. In fact the more I moved away or pretended I did not care the closer they got. I think this is how to play it. They are used to guys being really agressive with them and it scares them off. SHow your tender side and I think they like it!

This is similar to being aloof in a way, it is being "non needy", you are not pushing for "sex", so it gives them a chance to breathe and relate to you and see you are actually a real man who is confident enough to be tender and not just another dick.

As long as you go to major cities In Russia you cannot lose. I have not met one person yet who is actually from Moscow. Girls are always from small provincial towns moving here to work and have fun. Much like London, it is the best place to have your pick.

After 2 weeks, just the 1. I predict at least 1 or 2 more over the next 2 weeks as I have a couple of dates lined up. Also I need to ease of going out so much as I am broken inside.
Is it worth it based on cost per notch? Hell no. This is hardcore. I am sure there are better countries for getting laid. I have not been to many places in Europe so this is part of a big experiment to find a place where I can settle down for 6 months. Right now I am just in it for the adventure so for me it does not matter if I get laid of not. It's just a bonus if I do.

Any of the other big cities in Russia 1 million + (Moscow and St. Pete excepted) Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Samara, Kazan, Omsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Ufa have this too. The cities suck the girls in from the non descript villages who are just filled with the very old and the very young. As soon as a person graduates from the local high school, they are headed to the nearest metropolis.

Peters-burg, there are a lot of xenophobic racial skinheads, I wonder about Moscow? I hear you look like Kazakh, Caucasian(I mean from Caucus), or dark skinned or Asian, you are not well received.
