Women Can't Handle Rejection

Shout out to Athlone for the video.

http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2012/09/1...tion-well/

I read this post today then saw the video. Note the shaming language when the guy challenges the chicks skill or even insults her "I feel uncomfortable with you staring at me". Not the same kind of rejection as the sexual kind talked about, but its still challenging her self image. The video also gives a bonus expose of vocal fry.

This has happened to me before I used to bang this chick when I first got into game, practiced my asshole game on her. Like the post I made says shed beg for my cock, but if I said "no I don't want to fuck you" she would instantly flip, not know what to do and say she never wanted to fuck me again [Image: womanhamster.gif]

On a related topic is Roosh's "don't text me again". I just don't get these women.

Simon was diggin' it. He knew it was the truth and is man enough to not get caught in the crossfire unlike the other dude (don't know his name, I stay away from shit TV).

Show business is a rejection business. For these performers onstage in this setting, it's even more difficult because one of the things that makes these shows popular is the prospect of one of the judges simply destroying the contestants for the pleasure of viewers at home. It takes balls to get up there and face that kind of judgment. It's even more difficult if you don't respect the "talent" of of some of those that are in the position of judging you. It's easier for a no-talent chick to get packaged and foisted upon the public, because if she's hot, they'll just do some trick in the studio and have her lip-sync out on the road. Guys don't get that kind of leeway. They really have to have some talent to make it. LA Reid and Simon Cowell have been doing what they do for a long time, but Lovato and Britney were packaged and foisted on the public. Good for him for going down swinging. And it's hilarious for Britney to claim to be uncomfortable being looked at by anyone - she gladly tarted herself up for our viewing pleasure for years, and acted the fuckin' fool in public on top of it.

Britney was the first to get the Skrillex haircut. Dumb bitch.
She's hanging on by her fingernails at 30. The wall is approaching at warp speed.
The other chick is kind of cute, but I've never heard of her and I doubt I'd want to her any of her songs. Which I'm sure are about "romance" and "relationships" with all the writing and music done by men.

He shut her up nice and then Britney had to white knight.

I am pleased that I will live long enough to see Britney smash into that wall.

Brittney pulled the "creepy" card. Typical American girl response that apparently goes all the way to the top.

So wait .. we're supposed to be applauding the guys petulant ass retort to a basic truth about life. What in the seven hells of fuckdom does the woman's use of "auto-tune" have to do with her statement?? Sure, I guess it was an "Oh! Snap" moment, but essentially it was just an ad hominem. This was an absolutely TERRIBLE example of the type of men that there needs to be more of in the world. Hopefully he has never sired any offspring.

I'm not sure if you're being serious here, but you apparently missed the supremely patronizing, bitchy tone in her voice. She wasn't merely "stating a [profound] truth," she was condescendingly stating the obvious to a guy with at least twice the life experience and wisdom as her.

What's more, the video concludes with an even more obnoxious attack from Britney Spears, who--as Ali noted--resorts to the catch-all you're-making-a-woman-uncomfortable-now-therefore-you've-automatically-done-something-wrong card. To boot, she utters her idiotic allegation in one of the most dismissive, croakey vocal fries I've ever heard. Imbeciles like her are why so many American girls talk like this now.

What we're applauding is a man with the courage to stand up to a couple of marginally talented bitches with massive egos, grounded in nothing more than their manufactured fame and "images." Staged or not, this needs to happen more often. Society would be better for it.

I heard her tone, and disregarded it completely. Normally I would say her message contained almost nothing of value, but clearly the guy needed to be reminded of it. His appearance on the show speaks to the fact that he has been chasing (working hard) on his dream or whatever for what has clearly been a long time. By now he should know that hard work doesn't guarantee shit but sweat. That being said, my issue was with his reply. Bitch. Bitch. Bitch Bitch Bitch. Seriously, on national TV, with all his supposed life experience and wisdom, the best he could come up with was an ad hominem. Pathetic. Fucking pathetic. Especially in response to the "marginally" talented judge.

Also, the idea that age somehow grants automatic wisdom is a bit of a non sequitur. Especially in light of his "I worked to hard for this" beta ass whining he had just got done doing. I'm starting to ramble here, but my point is the dude wasn't standing up for anything except his bruised ass ego. Even then, he managed to do it in a completely terrible way.

Lastly, you spent entirely too much time on the women in your post. Regardless of what they said, or the tone it was said in, being a bitch is never a good thing for a dude. Whining ("I worked to hard for this" - in context used as a type of non sequitur) should get you nothing but supremely patronizing, bitchy, condescending, and dismissive retorts. I would have applauded the dude's courage if he maybe came back at the judges asking about the specific technical deficiencies of his performance.

Britney got gamed by Neil Strauss.

Just like Roosh's don't text me post, I kicked a girl out my house today and she immediately tried re-frame as her rejecting me with "don't call me again."

No problemo.

Auto-tune is a sound engineering tool used to for pitch correction, i.e. I sing off-key auto-tune can fix it and make me sound better. Many singers use auto-tune in live/in recording studios b/c they can't sing well without it.

It's ironic Demi is talking about singers working hard when she doesn't do that herself. You're astute, his dis was an ad hominem but what she said was the pot calling the kettle black.

Oh wait, you're[Image: troll.gif], forget what I just said.

Trolling ?? Not in the least bit. I'm quite open with the fact that I think that the man in question is a poor example of proper manhood. When confronted with his perceived inadequecy by the very people whose opinion he was courting, the guy had NOTHING to bring to the table except for the basic form of self defense most of us grew out of in High School. In fact this thread should maybe be called "Some men can't handle rejection". And those men should most definitely be bred out of existence.

Additionally, you can auto-tune the fuck out of whatever you want, but given that she is/was also an actress and does consistently tour I believe we can infer that she has some notion of hard work. The fact that you brought it up relates to my central point. Regardless of what someone is saying to you, or your perceived notion of their qualifications, as a man you need to act appropriately. Which is to say, your response to provocation needs to be somewhat intelligent and on point. This guy's response was most definitely not.

If you call me a troll, and I simply say you have a poor grasp of the concept, then that would be a somewhat okay response. But still sort of bitch, because I made no attempt to actually address or rebut the claim.

On the other hand, if I were to come back at you with something along the lines of "well you have a stupid name" or "you use ponctuation poorly", you would be on the side of the angels to call me a bitch. That is to say, you would have been completely justified in doing so.

I love the fact that the people in all levels of the music industry completely lie about pretty much everything involved in getting there.
I'm sure Demi Lovato worked really hard at mastering her craft - at 20 years old, starring as a 'judge' of talent on a staged reality tv show: after starting her acting career at 7. Thumbs up for taking the hard and treacherous road.

It is just like every stupid indie band claiming 'We're different. We're not in it for the money, we're in it for the music,' and other tropes that make the rich guys behind the scenes richer.

I'm glad the music industry is dying a slow and painful death.

As a complete side note: Britney is a drunken mess of a coke-whore who was so terrible that in the most anti-male legal system in the world they still took her kids away from her and gave them to the father, who happened to be a drug-addled, good-for-nothing lay-about. That must make her a great role model for kids all over the world.

That explains it. At the first possibility of something being uncomfortable, question the manhood of every guy involved.

Sierra, I would be willing to bet that the old guy put in more hard work than Demi Lovato, it's just that adults invested in Demi Lovato when they saw that she had young talent, so her acting career and singing career were opportunities which presented themselves. The "hard work" you're talking about does not justify her simply getting the opportunity in the first place, hard work is a given; it's a function of being successful. The old guy has probably been practicing for many years, maybe playing at bars or singing in churches since his 20s and raising a family in the meantime, to be criticized by a young girl who never could have known differently. Demi Lovato has never had to struggle in her life. The old guy knows that his breakout performance is probably never going to happen, but he still has hope.

I don't get how this video is an example of how "women can't handle rejection".

Britney "White Knighted" her but I don't see what the other woman did that suggested she couldn't 'handle' it.

Yet, even if we have had experiences with women not handling rejection weel, it doesn't mean ALL women can't handle rejection...just like men, some can, some can't...it's just that women aren't USED to rejection in the first place.

Whose fault is that?

If this Demi Lovato woman has had it easy whose fault is that?

If women who can't sing still sell loads of albums/singles whose fault is that?

I just don't get the constant unnecessary women bashing...it feels weak to me.

The problem with the man in that video is that he reacted to her criticism the wrong way emotionally, which suggests to me he cared about what she thought regardless of how much younger she is.

If I was him I would've laughed in her face right after her 'criticism'...then used his reply.

1st - Not a female.

2nd - I didn't question the manhood of everyone involved. Just the whiny singer person who used an ad hominem attack when confronted with the very thing he feared. I don't know how hard he worked up to the point. I also know I don't care. The dude is a terrible example of how to react in that situation. We shouldn't be applauding his reaction. It was horrible, and something more at home coming out of the mouth of a 13 yr old girl who just got called out for having no style. That was my central point, regardless of our feelings about Demi Lovato.

3rd - Shouts out to the guy who noticed I wrote "ponctuation" earlier. I should have paid more attention to detail.
