Yes... it's higher level, good stuff for sure

but i'm also getting a kick out of the fact that this poor guy is asking about whether he's too old to be renting a bunk in a flophouse in bolivia and he's getting feedback about champagne parties with fashion models in kiev.

definitely a new way to look at whether or not to drop 18 pesos on a dorm style bunkbed or not.

Why not add to it a jet plane and a chopter directly from the airport to the roof top of the building.

I´m more and more inclined to apartments, cause in hostels although it´s more fun normally you can´t bring girls back, which sucks big time. Also apartments divided per 4 or 5 end up being the same price than hostels.

"Took a charter flight on a DC-10 to London. Landed at Heathrow. Took a cab to the city center. Don't let people lie to you: hostels are for the ugly."

"I'm staying in Home House, the most beautiful hotel in the world. Called a friend from school who was selling hash, but she wasn't in. Met a couple of Brits who take me to, of all places, Camden Street. I flirt a bit at the Virgin Megastore, buy some CDs, then follow some girls with pink hair. I wandered around trying to get laid, until it started to rain, then went back to Home House. Ministry of Sound is dead, so I go to Remform - but it's Gay Night. I find the one hetero girl in the place and we dry hump on the dance floor. We cab it back to Home House. I strip her clothes off, suck her toes, and we fuck. I hung out for four or five days. Met the world's biggest DJ, Paul Oakenfold. Kept missing the Changing of the Guards. Wrote my mom a postcard I never sent. Bought some speed from an Italian junkie who was trying to sell me a stolen bike. Smoked a lot of hash that had too much tobacco in it. Saw the Tate. Saw Big Ben. Ate a lot of weird English food. It rained a lot, it was expensive, and I'm jonesing... So, I split for Amsterdam..."

If you look hard enough you can find hotel rooms that cost just a little more than hostels. They'll be in seedier areas but at least you'll be away from gringos.

LOL. But the fact of the matter is, once you leave the U.S. and the UK, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination and budget.

And it's not like I'm dropping big money either -- stellar flats in historic cities for less that $80 a night, helicopter service from one country to another for $100 a person, luxurious sauna/jacuzzi suites with butler service for $40 an hour...

And it's not just lifestyles of the rich and famous type stuff. It's getting what you want out of life.

I know a black guy who was going nowhere in the U.S., and is now a famous and sought-after musician in Europe, with always a cute, blonde groupie in tow whenever I see him.

I know a Japanese guy who was more or less unemployed in Japan, and is now teaching photography to hot Eastern European girls eager for 'home tutoring' and getting invited to state dinners and Presidential cultural functions.

Keep in mind that when you pursue the things you really enjoy doing, especially in countries with an excess of beautiful women, then you end up meeting higher quality women that you'd likely never run into roaming around shitty bars & clubs every weekend like a Mediterranean dog in heat.

There are countries to make money, and then, there are countries to spend money.

I've read Thegmanifesto.com for a number of years.

That one is my absolute favorite.

Shortly after it was written I attempted to enter corporate Hawaii as a sales guy for a seafood wholesaler. They promised big $$ and all kinds of fancy traveling. My first trip was to Miami. The chef at Osteria shot me down so hard. I'm opposed to tilapia, but he wasn't hearing it.

I quit once my expenses were reimbursed.

Also, Japanese girls worship luxury goods, probably more than anybody. Knowing that those are Louboutins when I see the red bottoms has allowed me to swoop quite a few J-girls.

Aloha!

kindredspirit,

Like I said before, I am super impressed with that move you came up with.

Which countries have you busted it in? (Where was "stellar flats in historic cities for less that $80 a night,"?)

Kona,

Yeah, that was a classic story. Re-reading it makes me want to roll to South Beach soon.

Thanks for the props.

Toddh,

"but i'm also getting a kick out of the fact that this poor guy is asking about whether he's too old to be renting a bunk in a flophouse in bolivia and he's getting feedback about champagne parties with fashion models in kiev."

That line made me laugh.

Agreed kindred, that's some impressive shit right there.

As for the original question ... I'm 25 ... sort of "normal" age for hostelling I suppose. Most people I've met in hostels have been early to late 20s, though you get some in their teens and some in their 30s.

I'm sure many people who have travelled have met the occasional eccentric 50-something guy who's never owned property and has lived out of a backpack for 20 years. It's hard to know what to make of these guys overall, but they've always got a story or two to tell.

In South America you also meet working class families who stay in
hostels simply because they couldn't afford hotels for their holidays.

I enjoy hostelling ... it's easy to meet people and if you're lucky you'll meet people you bond with quickly. Having said that, in terms of logistics for banging local girls, hiring an apartment looks like a seriously fucking good shout for next time.

When I was looking into traveling to Kiev, I found a bunch of apartments in the $80/night range.

And I stayed in an apartment in Cologne, Germany in 2005 for about this (split 3 ways, I remember it was about $20 per person per night with three of us).

These kinds of deals are definitely out there, but the low prices will be seasonal and you have to do some digging. Homeaway.com can have some good prices on apartment rentals.

Do you feel too old for hostelling?

It sounds like you'd need a roommate to make the apartment rentals feasible for an extended trip.

$80 x 30 days = $2,400 a month. Which is Manhattan level prices to rent. Even in expensive Socal, a decent 1bdrm apartment can be had for about half that. $80 a night in a poor country is quite a bit.

I never understood all this obsession w/ models. They normally have a nice face but personally I would rather bang a porn star than a model. Have any of you ever seen a model live? they look as they just escaped from a nazi camp.

Kindred, that is the life of the rich and the famous. I´ve personally never enjoyed that lifestyle, because I don´t fit in it. I´ve done it for a while. Girls are generally hotter, but the amount of shit they have in their brain and the codes you have to deal with are not worth the effort. At least for me. But I do reckon the benefits from it.

Sometimes I take the more shallow chicks to this club in Lisbon, a friend of mine banged one of the partners so I can get my name on the guest list:

Sometimes they don't even have a nice face, though obviously personal taste counts for a lot. There often seems to be a sort of "model look". It's hard to describe, but a lot of girls I'd consider really hot probably would never make it as a model. A lot of them have really fine but pronounced features, which is fine if it's your thing, but generally it ain't mine.

Here is the girl who won Scottish model of the year 2009:

And here's the winner of Miss Scotland last year:

Scottish girls aren't the hottest on the planet, but even so I've seen hundreds of girls here who I think are sexier than the likes of these two. Give me a porn star (I wish) or a big-assed Brazilian any day.

Models used to be pretty women by conventional standards. This obsession with that the drugged out, anorexic look is fairly recent. Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroin_chic

Some top fashion models still are very pretty though, like Adriana Lima. That 1st blond woman above looks scary.

That's exactly right. Guys should definitely go for whatever projects/lifestyle/girls they feel comfortable with. If you're into rastaheads, then more power to you. If you're into 18 year old hip hop fanatics, I happen to know a black DJ in Eastern Europe who absolutely CLEANS UP with them by creating a "cult of personality" around himself online and offline. If you want cute, university-educated intellectual types who rarely go out, there's a way to target them too (this is one of my niches by the way).

For me though, I like the feeling of a bit of luxury, wining & dining, and the good life.-- and I know women do as well -- although obviously it's best to provide it to a woman who APPRECIATES it instead of a woman who feels she's ENTITLED to it.

My thinking is this: I may not be a multi-millionaire, but I don't have to wait until I earn multi-millions to occasionally enjoy the finer things in life. I've done the backpacking thing with just a pair of torn up jeans and a tight budget back in the day (even McDonalds was too expensive for me in Scandinavia) -- and while it was enjoyable -- it's not something that I want to do when I'm 40.

I've also found $80 a night flats in stellar locations and amenities in places as far flung as Istanbul, Vienna, Vilnius, Tallinn, etc. However, you'll definitely have an easier time negotiating during the winter and in the smaller university towns that all of these countries are blessed with.

As for models, the tall, angular face with the anorexic body is just one type. I know PLENTY of models who are cute, hot, next-door-girl types who are studying for their Masters/PHDs and pretty friendly as well. Of course, they all happen to be Eastern European. Notice a pattern here? :-)

Great point. Roosh talks about the benefits of finding a niche in Bang and I've read about it on the forum. Recently I've come to appreciate how useful this is. Of course, if there's a niche you don't quite fit into at the moment but you aspire to, why the hell not go for it? Life's short.

Yep, me neither. I'm definitely going to keep doing it for a couple of years though until, like you say, I fancy moving on to another niche/market/whatever. Something I've not done in a while is a guys' holiday, and I'll definitely be too old for that within a couple of years. You know what I mean ... a week or two in a Brit-dominated holiday resort in Spain full of bars and clubs (equivalent for Americans would be somewhere like Cancun). Yes, it's shallow and not even mildly "cultural", but it's also fun and full of easy opportunities.

Yeah, true ... I just can't stand the heroin chic look, which is why when I hear "My friend so-and-so is a model" I don't automatically get excited. As for the *good* type of models you're talking about, I believe this is a good example (Alina Vacariu from Romania). Cute face, good curves and not a needle mark in sight [Image: smile.gif]

For me shalowness is when a girl starts talking about a gift she received for Christmas. I ask her what? She tells me a piece of a Pandora. I Ask her what is that? She responds almost schocked: "my god don´t you read social magazines?"
Since then I call this type of girls Pandora girls. BTW Pandora is a jewelry.

Other pricelless example but that´s more stupid than shallow. A girl that turns around to me and says:
You know I have to go to Thailand because Cosmopolitan said that for my sign in this month that´s were I should be.
This one I banged cause she was so dumb and easy.

I got a big reportoir.

Don´t think that joining a couple of guys and going to some beach resort is shallow. For me that´s actually normal and I do it all the time. Hell I´ve been in Czech Rep. and didn´t visit Prague. All I saw was a street and a bar.

In Portugal there´s so many codes for high classes that you go crazy.

One of them is you should only give one kiss in the cheek for woman. Everybody normally give two kisses. But you can´t tell for sure when a girl should get one or two kisses only by the way she dresses.

So if you give two kisses to the girl and she expected one you will probably stand floating on air waiting for the other kiss. If you give one kiss and she expected two, she will be the one left floating. What I would normally do is prior saying to the girl "I always get two kisses" or hold the girls head will kissing her.

This is one drop in the ocean of what you can expect.

I don´t know if EE girls are also like that. Now that I think about it I did bang a Polish and a Estonian that were extremely rich but normal.

About models the exceptions do make the rule that they are generally not much more than a bag of bones w/ a pretty face:

As someone who has banged a good 30+ Eastern European girls from Romania all the way up to Estonia, including quite a few girls who modeled for a while and are now studying/working in "normal jobs," I'll go on record to say that I can't ever go back to Western women.

You guys can keep 'em :-)

Oh, and one of the reasons I disliked Brazil after a while was because I generally can't stand beach/surf culture...especially the one in Brazil where it's filled with a bunch of arrogant meatheads with an Alpha Male Complex. So the cold, wintery cities of Eastern Europe fits me just fine.

I think cities and countries have personalities just like people do. It's just a matter of finding one that matches your's.

True words, man!
I don't dislike per se the beach culture, but I prefer cities in cold european places. That is why finnish girls remain my favourite ones, they are honest, they like kinky sex, they don't play BS games and their men are all chumps. Even if finnish women are not the best looking in the world, they keep being my favourite ones.

But don't disregard all western women (although you may consider Finland western), there are some good places left, still in all countries.

Kindredspirit, I am fascinated by this "Cult of Personality" stuff. Can you breakdown your DJ friends philosophy and tactics a bit. Im assuming that he has created some type of "character" or "personality" that he uses when he "DJ's" ... and then really promotes that "character" online (Facebook, Myspace, etc.) But I could be way off? How does he do it?

Yeah, that's pretty much it. He's made it so that Mr. Hip Hop and R&B = HIM and DJs his branded events at clubs throughout the region. Add in Facebook and the rest along with daily updates throwing out 'urbanisms' (many of which would be cliches in the US, but in EE, are looked upon as 'the originally brilliant
lyrics of an urban poet' [Image: idea.gif] and he has an entire generation of hip hop loving girls who see him as Snoop, 50 cent, Denzel Washington, and Obama rolled up into one.

Kindredspirit,

"If you want cute, university-educated intellectual types who rarely go out, there's a way to target them too (this is one of my niches by the way)."

This is one of the "niches" were I have found success also. I usually find them in University libraries, bookstores, health clubs, and even on the street. Their "look" is usually a little more conservative then "party chicks", but they do show their creativity with funny little scarfs, glasses, shoes, or hats. I love the ones who have glasses on, their hair up, and you can tell they are healthy and work out. I love the whole "sexy secretary" thing. I think my biggest strength with these girls is being able to "speak their language". I am not really an intellectual guy but I can talk like it if I have to. They are turned off by men who appear to be stupid, unambitious, lazy, etc. So I always pretend that I am a PHD student or something like that. We always end up talking about science/philosophy or whatever their favorite subject in school is. I have found quite a few of these girls who are alot more sexual then most people would think. You just have to stimulate their brain a little bit first!

What is your general approach to finding and "swooping" sexy intellectual girls??? Thanks.

This is an excellent topic, even deserving of a thread of its own. I know what you mean by the sexy secretary look, or better yet, the sexy professor is would be my ideal type.

These aren't the type of girls you're going to see getting down and dirty at Baile Funk parties or reveling in celebrity and novela gossip.
