I think Ust/14th Street area has a lot of options. I recommend checking out Masa 14, Lost Society and Policy. Vinoteca is supposed to be alright but I only went there once.

Otherwise I've had fun in the Chinatown area. I'd recommend Clydes, Iron Horse or Penn Social.

The hottest girls I saw in my time there were at the K Street clubs. Check out Lima and Park on 14th, and bring plenty of cash.

As has been said before- much of DC is a nerdy, social circle-oriented town. Groups in their button-downs and khakis and frumpy women who only hang out with other people from work. All government drones, lobbyists or "non-profit professionals" (aka barnacles clinging to misguided ship that is the Federal Government). Anywhere with a major military or I.T. presence is going to be a sausagefest, and both those factors are in play here. Textbook "49er" city.

I made a lot of recommendations just now. But I'd also recommend changing your itinerary if possible. Hell you'll probably like Baltimore more- 2nd tier college town and it's only an hour away.

EDIT: There's a couple decent spots in DuPont Circle as well. Check out Mad Hatter and Cafe Citron. Sign of the Whale (what a fitting name!) if you like the cheap beers and young dumb girls. VERY crowded though later at night though. I'm amazed the fire marshall hasn't shut that place down.

The brunch thing is also very popular in DC, particularly in the Ust area. You can do some day drinking and hop from place to place, chicks are usually in better moods on sunday mornings.

I'm a local.
Stick to 14th Street. That's where the hot girls are because those are the trendiest and newest bars. Dupont is kind of old news, except the 18th Street Lounge and Cafe Citron which have been pretty reliable. You'll find a lot of girls who live in the burbs coming down to Dupont vs. 14th Street, where more local people hang out (this is a generalization...).

Note: My game is mostly "talking game" -- less the club scene, so I prefer weekday. Nonetheless, here's a good list to work with:

Places to look at:

14th Street
Barcelona - too crowded sometimes, but a lot of top talent here if you're going for quality. Suit up.
Bar Pilar - rarely too crowded and cute girls. I'd say this is my #1.
Cafe St. Ex - too crowded some times, but similar crowd to Bar Pilar.
Lost Society (on U and 14th) - though this is too crowded/loud sometimes, but you can find cuties here and its more diverse than the previously mentioned
Local 16 (better in the Summer because of the rooftop, but worth a go at, I live across the street)
And there are a few that might be more chill around these spots, it's easy to hop around.

Hidden gems:
American Ice Company (off of U Street) - Kind of hipster on the weekdays, but less so on the weekends. I think the girls here are DTF, I've been approached in the bathroom line.
Rebellion (off of 17th Street "North Dupont") - this is a cool bar with a rooftop, I'm not sure how well it will go this weekend though with the weather. More local people hang out here.

Black girls:
Darnell's (near American Ice Company) on the opposite end of U Street: A bar run out of some guys house. It's pretty cool actually, check it out - but this is where the Howard U students hang out. Fun as a white dude, lol -- get approached a lot.

Adams Morgan
College girls, but kind of trashy... I like the Black Squirrel basement because it's not too crowded usually and you'll see some cuties in there, guys don't approach. If you're down for a bro scene and are under the age of 30, Grand Central is still hopping, but I'm just too classy for that place (sorry).

H Street
A lot of the bars here are also up and coming, but it's logistically difficult unless you drive. Same night lays are a little easier here sans the logistical hurdles, lots of Northern Virginia chicks.

Avoid Columbia Heights/Petworth unless you're into hipsters, and those spots have a lot of dudes anyway. Except in Petworth, there's DC Reynolds which is a great outdoor patio scene and its easy to approach (in the summer, not for this weekend).

Yeah -- I'd still do U Street + 14th Street + Adams Morgan. It's all in walking distance. You can cover a lot of ground if you get a hotel somewhere central, like maybe the Hilton in North Dupont or AirBNB -- I think you can walk about everywhere from there.

The vibe on H Street is different, reminds me of Baltimore a bit because of the divey bars and music clubs - I think that's why it's (slightly) easier and more laid back. So I think if you get along well in that environment, you'll find it easier to chat people up than in some of the snobby bars in other parts of town. But probably not worth the drive, it's kind of cut off from everything else.

Adams Morgan has Madam's Organ, about the only place worth visiting in that shitty neighborhood for us older gents (over 35). 18th street lounge (south of Dupon Circle) is always reliable for international girls although I have been shut down there more times than just about anywhere else in DC.
Another place worth a check just a block from 18th Street Lounge is Vapiano's, an Italian restaurant that turns into a lounge after 10pm on weekends. Great place to pre-game.
ECities (around 19th & I) can be pretty good as well with some slammin' girls though you need to know which night to go on (Sunday's during summer tends to be almost exclusive African American).
Donovan's Rooftop (near Thomas Circle) is my favorite place for a date and has one of the best views of the city. This is also where you can meet some stunners though be prepared for stiff bro competition. Finally, if you are wearing your custom suit (G Manifesto style) and have the looks to back it up try your game at W Hotel Rooftop (across from White House on 15th). Ratio's here are usually favorable though the place attracts a lot of stuck up girls.
Overall though Baltimore is much better for a city of similar size. The ratio's in DC are horrendous if you go out after 9pm.

P.S. During late spring/summer no place in DC beats Georgetown Waterfront, especially if you have friends on boats. Being able to drink there and then hop back and forth between the boats, boardwalk, Sequioas, and Tony and Joe's bar is great fun. Lot's of tourist and international girls to mack on around here.

The problem with DC is the weekend scene. There are too many people coming down from the suburbs to party and it's way too crowded at the top spots. The less popular, and less crowded bars are always full of dudes. The weekday scene is a bit more conducive to chatting it up. We don't have a club scene, so that's kind of out of the picture. The few real clubs are downtown and nobody wants to be downtown on the weekend, it's desolate.

The bars that are kind of cool, more affordable, and less stuffy have very few chicks. DC chicks don't really like dive bars... they like to drink at the trendiest spots. I was at Red Derby last weekend (a good general hangout spot), but there were few bangable chicks. They recently opened this bar next door called Lymans. My buddy and I left to check it out. The ratio was 9-1 dudes... Some guys were wearing penis necklaces and I was wondering if I had accidentally sat down at a gay bar. But no, this is a regular bar! A shame because it is a cool bar for DC... Kind of reminds me of something I'd see in the Midwest.

If you're into going after specific international ethnic groups, I remember the following places if someone could fill in more details:

Vietnamese- Diamond nightclub and the coffee shops at Eden Center in Falls Church
Bolivian- There was a restaurant in East Falls Church/7 corners that turned into a Latin nightclub on weekend nights. I was usually the only white guy there when I went which was just how I liked it. Anyone remember what it's called? Also, I remember there was a restaurant in Ballston that served Bolivan traditional food on Sunday afternoons and there was some attractive Latin girls there
Korean- Although Annandale and east Fairfax have a lot of Korean businesses, I've heard that it's actually easier to meet Korean chicks at the bars and nightclubs in DC that are Asian hang-outs.
Ethiopian and Somalian- I think someone already mentioned the Little Ethiopia area in DC. I used to go down there because I think East African girls are beautiful, but I noticed their men would give me stink eye if I chatted up their girls who were working at the Ethiopian restaurants
East Indian- I was told certain restaurants that become nightclubs on the weekends in Georgetown is where they hang out, but I never verified it. Is this true?
Salvadoran and Honduran- Bailey's Crossroads area, but it can be kind of sketchy (dangerous) at night.

The part about the Vietnamese girls is accurate. There is a Vietnamese shopping center in Falls Church that has a nightclub that looked pretty good. Years ago, I went there mistakingly thinking it was Latin night. As far as latin girls go, Virginia is a lost cause as far as I'm concerned. Because of early closing times and other factors, many of the Virginia Hispanic girls go to Langley Park or D.C. on weekends. The only time I have met Hispanic girls in Virginia was at the Claredon Grill, but I stopped going there because I don't really dance salsa anymore. I've repeatedly posted about Langley Park, but I think people think I'm joking or something. Most of the success I've had in this shithole has come from there.

Thanks everyone for the information in the thread. I'm currently in DC and found the 14th/U Street area the best bet so far.

Bar Pilar and Lost Society had a ton of cute girls last Saturday. At Pilar, I found it very easy to open at the bar.
This city is pricey as hell but I should have been expecting that.

Culture: Washington Dc is a city that caters almost exclusively to the 21 and up politically connected crowd. So it is very important to keep that in mind when approaching. Because of tourism, you can get any flag here. But you have to no where to go and the right time. I got flags from Brazil, El Salvador, D.R, Australia, Ecuador, Mexico, Nigeria, Jamaica, Ethiopia and many many other countries here. The thing about DC is it is a emotional Roller coaster for a PUA guy. I have been floored by the quality because it comes out of the blue.... then had times where I wanted rip my face of in frusration!!! Have a game plan!!!

High season. Washington DC in the summer and winter break is definitely the best times to game. There is just so much tail, from interns and summer students, and tourist it is ridiculous. But If you don’t, have your logistics tight, you will invariably miss all the tail. I cant imagine a place with more girls in bulk then DC between the months of May and July. But you must be in the right areas.

Dress: SUIT UP!!! People just like to be around successful people. In DC the successful suit up. I have a friend who even wears the “im the dean” bow tie.

I was in DC for 5 years. I have had some ups and downs but, I had definitely done some serious damage. I even had a 3 notch day once. So I will impart my knowledge of DC game.

Pick your flavor and focus. I had several pussy nitch markets that payed well.

Lets start from the top....
The easiest girls are by far ages 18-20 and 26-29.
People at the ages of 18-20 are official unable to go in any clubs and bars. Even without drinking. So what you will get is a lot of people drinking themselves silly at house parties are willing to do ANYTHING to get outta DC, and have some fun.

Location is key!! I lived in the center of Washington DC in the Georgetown area. I had an absolute blast when I started throwing parties at my pad. This was my college game. Go to other schools and invite them to hang out at my school, AKA house party. Students are always interested and curious about hanging at other school, especially higher tiered ones.

You have several to pick from. Georgetown, GWU, American U, Catholic, UDC, GMU, UMD... ect. I go and study at different schools with shirts from others. Girls give you attention for that alone. I would wear sweats and flip flops form my school, while at others. Girls will say something. Be creative and it should works.

If you want girls in the 20’s
HAPPY HOUR!!!:
Happy hours have been the single best source of lays in DC.
Cheap drinks, and people are drinking like there on recess from grade school.
Games I run here:
-Avoid the what do u do convo.
-Stay playful, and silly.(everyone is serious normally here)
-Do counter intuitive things.(this city is full of cookie cutter folks, just be different)
-Everyone has money here or at least a good income. So throwing it around doesn’t do much.
-transition to drinking at home after two venue changes.
-Do it early as possible!!!

The best areas for happy hours-
Adams Morgan- Young trendy, girls everywhere. People here are ready to drink and party. Easy lays!

Chinatown- Very diverse crowd, dive bars, sushi spots, ect. Crowd is less snobbish but still sophisticated.

Dupont- very gay neighborhood. So girls are more receptive to talk. Because most guys they meet have no interest in talking to them. They also are lot more comfortable in gay areas.

Georgetown: Snobish!!! Suitup, and don’t answer questions about what you do. Speak well, suit up to DHV. But DON’T get into the rack and stacking convo of what do u do. Someone always can out gun u there.

Ust- Little Ethiopia. Sophisticated black American crowd, hipsters, ect. I love this area. You can get what ever type a girl u like. Gaming in Dc is Always easier if you get travelers, tourist, and non-local professionals.

Bravo Bravo- closest the lates in the city. There are some real hitting nights here but this is where every Latina goes after everything closes. Its 18 and up so u get some young drunk girls but be advised, many wont speak English and its kinda hood.

I can't even begin to say how inaccurate this datasheet is. Elabayarde's sheet can only be applied to the undergrad or <25 crowd. Statements like "High season. More than half the bars/clubs in Dupont Circle are popular with the straight crowd (have you been to Front Page, Buffalo Billiards, Sign of the Whale, etc.). Girls have no problems finding straight guys even there.

Finally I've lived in the city for 24 years and been going out for 14 years...If you had been older enough perhaps you had read Rooshs' original blog (dcbachelor.com) which even then told you that the city is a shithole for PUA's and I see no sign of it changing anytime soon. In the past decade both the quantity and the quality of women has gone down. Elabayarde have you even gone out recently? You say you lived in the city for 5 years but it seems like all those years were spent hosting college parties for barely legal coed's. I hope you are older now and if so try to go out as a young professional in your mid to late 20s and tell me that DC is still a great city. It certainly ain't!
Furthermore, why don't you try any happening club downtown from Sequoia's in Georgetown, to Cafe Citron, to Lucky Bar, to Saint Ex, TomTom's, etc. No matter what neighborhood you go to the women are plain ugly on average compared to other big US city's and the ratio is beyound awful. Even when you do go to clubs that have a good ratio, women tend to be very young and cloistered in groups which are near impossible to crack unless you already know someone on the inside.

I've been to military towns (Norfolk, VA) where its been easier to get SNL than DC!

Overall ratios are amazing. Visited DC in September. Will admit I didn’t go to any bars or clubs, outside of one approach at a bar in the afternoon. Did a slew of daygame though. Gotta agree DC is not great, but you can still have fun. It's not so much bad ratio's (though they often suck) but the types of women. Tons of career cunts and hardcore leftists. They don't call it hollywood for ugly people for no reason. A lot of foreign girls if that is your thing, but if you want white women not as good. No point in complaining, make the best of it. The guys are mostly effete wimps so if you are aggressive you can definitely do well still.

The mid -tier city about 90 miles away I grew up in has better ratio's and talent besides the excessive hipsters from what I've seen lately.
