Gallon of water/day

I've been drinking a gallon (or more) for about two months. I probably drank close to that anyway but inconsistently. I feel better. My skin looks better, my workouts are better.
I just buy 5 gallons at a time now and carry the jug around with me (or leave it in the car).
I like this method because I know exactly how much I've had.
Things that are off setting the full benefits:
I'm drinking too much coffee. It's gotten to the point where I'm using it to regulate my energy levels and that's bad for the adrenals....

Been doing this for years. I find that it makes me feel just...better in general.
Back when I was living in a fraternity, a bunch of guys did this and you'd see three or four jugs on the lounge table at any given time.
I drank 2gal/day when I was more or less living on protein powder, mainly because I was terrified of kidney stones (probably too young but still) and protein powder kind of rapes your stomach if you're not hydrated. It was like a 24/7 piss-a-thon haha.

I'm def keeping this up. So easy and so worth it.
The 2 gallon/ day seems like a bit much though. I can see that actually depriving you of nutrients and electrolites.

I bought a BPA-free gallon jug off of Amazon. I fill it up at night, put it in the 'fridge and drink it throughout the day. This method is obviously much cheaper than buying gallon jugs, but I can see people being afraid of tap water.
I used to just refill the same gallon milk jug. Don't do that. I didn't realize until I got the BPA-free water bottle just how shitty I was feeling drinking out of the same plastic jug over time.

Many people swear by drinking a couple of glasses first thing in the morning when you wake up. I don't know that 2 gallons is necessary, but if it's working for you, by all means. Drinking less coffee is good, because I believe coffee dehydrates you. Replacing those cups of coffee with water instead puts you ahead of the game. I start the day with a couple of glasses, and drink periodically throughout the day. Before I go to sleep, I drink another tall glass. I don't measure how much I take in, but when I started drinking water more regularly, I definitely saw the difference in my skin.

I drink a gallon of water a day (sometimes more). I feel great. Stay hydrated and it helps burn the fat and flushes my system out. Keep it up. Like you, I carry around a gallon jug.

I really need to start doing this. I don't think I drink anywhere near the amount of water I need to. Maybe I'm quasi dehydrated all the time.

I drink about 1/2 gallon a day. I thought that was a lot.
My only other drink is coffee (maybe 3 or 4 cups a week). I don't drink juice, or mixers with my alcohol. I always thought drinking juice seemed a little off. A cup of orange juice has four oranges. If you wouldn't eat four oranges in one sitting, why drink it? It's just a sugar bomb.

You don't have to drink that much if you eat a lot of veggies and fruits (high volume of water). Well pretty much all foods have water that the body pulls out as well. 1/2 gallon sounds more reasonable. I prefer water over other drinks though.

All I drink is water and heavy cream (it has less sugar than milk). I've noticed that since I stopped drinking soda, energy drinks, juice, and coffee; I've had way more energy than ever before.
Oh yeah and I drink about a gallon of water a day.

Great. I hear from many bangs that my skin is too dry and should moisturize it. Anybody around here using (natural) moisturizers?

I used to do the gallon a day thing when I used protein powders. I couldn't stand pissing all the time though. Now I drink anywhere between two and three liters a day, sometimes a little more if I'm doing yard work and I'm sweating a lot.

Definitely a great idea.
Juts to pile on, I've found being well hydrated to be the biggest energy booster out there. You feel so much better, and the feeling is significantly good enough that when you lapse and become less hydrated you notice it right away. I absolutely hate feeling dehydrated now because of this.

Absolutely agree 1 Gallon of water a day should be the goal for everyone unless you have some serious kidney problems.
The 8 Glasses a day should be the bare minimum which not by any measure more then 1-2 Litres. also Roosh if you are drinking Alcohol and Beer you lose more water from the body and need to drink more.
One suggestion is to keep a water bottle 750 ml- 1000 ml on you and keep refilling during the day, saves you money on bottled water too.
