Is Southern Cal one of the hardest areas in the US to pull?

Have always wanted to live there due to visiting and loving the weather. About a year ago I went to Santa Monica with two friends. On average, the women were indeed more attractive than women in other parts of America but it just seemed that they were a lot less receptive to strangers than women in NYC or down here in the south.
I have known some players in real life who have had it easy in New York and the Midwest but the second they hit the rich areas of Southern California like Newport Beach, they said cold approaches were hard to make and they were shut down hard.
One time when we were in Santa Monica, a friend of mines saw this beautiful blonde and just started trying to chat with a conversation with her. She was standing around looking at the beach. She looked in his direction with a blank stare then looked away and continued to look at the beach and the ocean. Felt so bad for him.
We decided to get him and just leave, he was kinda a bit hurt but being the optimistic guy he is, he managed to enjoy the rest of the trip.
One question I asked myself is this, "how the hell does a guy even managed to get laid here?". I mean in Huntington Beach you saw so many guys with six pack bodies and mad style that you see in GQ and you saw an 8 or 9 around their arm. Pulling a 9 in California must be harder than getting into Yale.
What has been your experience with this?

if that is the case can we shut down this thread and take the discussion there?

a good portion of the dudes had that MMA cut type body or the bodybuilder type physique.

Veindarlin,
Guys in Huntington Beach, generally speaking, definitely do not have GQ style. With all due respect, maybe its possible you dont know what GQ style looks like and were speaking loosely.

Yes, L.A. is a tough market. Why does this question always come up?
In L.A. you have the best looking guy from every city in the U.S. moving in town to make it in the industry.
You have more money than God circulating around.
You have celebrities.
The hottest girls are trying to star fuck and are also sucking dick to get with an agency and sucking off producers for roles.
So every girl you find attractive has great looking guys and guys and guys with money and guys who can "take her places" hitting her up.
You gotta come correct. There is little margin for error.
"If you can run game there, you can run game anywhere."
The joke about Huntington Beach is that every guy there is a purple belt. Tito Ortiz and Tank Abbot are both from HB.
NOT a good place to talk shit unless you can back it up in a serious way.
The guys are pretty agro and it's not a good scene for most guys.
Lots of sleeve tattoos and board shorts.
Not even close to GQ style.

Disagree, one of the hardest areas in all of US to pull and I would argue harder than South Cali (unless you count San Jose) would have to be Washington, DC. I am not talking about pulling whales, what i'm talking about is 7+ chicks and for a large city DC has a shortage of them not to count the awful attitude of women here and bad ratio's.
Believe it or not i've actually had better luck even in cities like Norfolk which one would never think of as it is basically the largest Naval base in the world full of military guys...

If SoCal is tough then where in the US is easy? You got beaches and influx of models and and wannabe actresses.
There's a reason why most of those PUA's move there.

News just in:
The "PUA guys" people love to worship almost never swoop girls.
They admittedly didn't before "The Game" came out, and after they haven't either.
Hell, they barely get into any dope gigs.
The only time I ever see those guys out is when I am at the sh*ttiest place I have been to in a 6 month period.
I am like, "Wow. This place sucks. Worst place I have been to in a while. Wait, isn't that the famous PUA guy that was on tv talking to 3 other guys?"

Easier than LA, OC and SD?
Chicago
NYC
Miami (kind of, requires special skill set)
SF
New Orleans
Las Vegas
Phoenix
Boston
Toronto
Montreal
And those are just the cities I know.
G, funny that you did not mention Washington, DC in your list. I assume you agree with me that it's as tough as South Cali to pull based on your experience? Also, I remember from your previous posts you've mentioned you've been to DC. Did you succeed and if so what type of game did you use?
