I'll start off.
Language learning is excluded as its a huge topic on its own.
* Martial arts - keeps you fit and testosterone-fueled while teaching you how to kick ass.
- Difficulty/time investment: 8/10
- Cost: Involves instruction, so around $100/month for good quality
- Payback (life): 10/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: I've recently signed up for Krav Maga
* Surfing - chicks totally dig the surfer types, and you can get all Zen about it, riding each wave as it comes, etc.
- Difficulty/time investment: 4/10
- Cost: Imagine it's low, you need what, a car, a surfboard, and that's pretty much it?
- Payback (life): 6/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: Have yet to try it regretfully, especially disgraceful as I live in CA.
* Sailing - cool skill to have, and helps with escape game.
- Difficulty/time investment: 2/10
- Cost: Varies. From symbolic sums among co-op type sailing clubs to $100 per lesson. Here you have to hunt for bargains.
- Payback (life): 6/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: I'm a beginner and currently going out for lessons.
* Gambling - preferably poker, as you can actually come away with profits if you're good; also, in cognitive and psychological terms, a good poker player will develop many of the same features as a good businessman and a good player. Casinos are also a great place to take a girl to.
- Difficulty/time investment: 8/10 (need to get thinking cap on, and seriously study and takes notes on theory)
- Cost: Very little, as long you win!![[Image: smile.gif]](https://rooshvforum.network/images/smilies/smile.gif)
- Payback (life): ?/10 (depends on too many factors)
- Payback (game): Varies. Online, like me, or with beta friends, like Roosh once, zilch. But a DHV in a casino.
- Me: A couple years back I managed to work myself up to the point I could make minimal wage doing 4 low-stakes tables simultaneously online; since then, I've given up as I ceased improving, and the Man got anal about restricting online American poker players' rights.
* Skiing/snowboarding - besides being awesome in every respect, it attracts very adventurous girls, very loose ones too apres-ski and after. A substantial percentage of my bangs came via ski trips. Ideally, you would want to have a cabin, but this is financially unrealistic for many and what usually happened we rented and packed it up like a sardine can, which complicates logistics.
- Difficulty/time investment: 6/10
- Cost: Expensive I'm afraid, no matter how well you scrounge.
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): 5/10
- Me: I am happy to say that this is one skill I've pretty much mastered, being fine with double diamonds and off piste.
* Hypnosis - heard it works for that Steve P. guy.
- Difficulty/time investment: ?
- Cost: ?
- Payback (life): A lot?
- Payback (game): A lot lot?
- Me: Have no idea how to do it or even how to start learning it).
* Juggling - the more balls the merrier.
- Difficulty/time investment: Gets progressively harder. It took me 2 days to master 3 balls. 4 balls? Have yet to get it LOL. To get awesome at it is every bit as hard as becoming a martial arts master or guitar virtuoso IMO.
- Cost: $5
- Payback (life): 1/10
- Payback (game): 3/10
- Me: cool party trick, DHV, but won't get girls jumping on you.
* Playing songs with guitar - Super sick skill that is a real babe magnet.
- Difficulty/time investment: 9/10
- Cost: $500 for good guitar, then lessons - $20 per hour? Not the cheapest activity.
- Payback (life):
- Payback (game):
- Me: A skill I would really like to have, but alas and alack, it's probably something I should have started doing a decade ago. Takes 5 years of solid investment in practice to get any good at it. I do not expect I will ever bother.
* Latin dances - very cool to have as DHV and for a few occasions.
- Difficulty/time investment: 5/10
- Cost: Class costs vary, $12 / class is not atypical.
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): 8/10
- Me: I did dances like rumba, Argentine tango, salsa, cha cha cha for half a year a few years back. I still remember most of the moves. It's a great DHV for girls ("hey there's this cool thing I wanna show you..." game) but unfortunately we're no longer in the 19th century or even the 50's and folks nowadays are no longer cultured they are into hip hop and spastic movements and grinding and shit.
* Scuba diving -
- Difficulty/time investment: 4/10
- Cost: ?
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): probably low, though can get cool stories I imagine
- Me: I may be visiting Australia in half a year's time and if so that's something I'll definitely try out.
Any other good suggestions?
