Physical mailing address for nomads?
06-06-2012, 11:21 PM
I'm going to be bouncing around a bit in the next year and am trying to figure out how to handle my physical address both in terms of receiving mail and what I have "on the books" for all my various accounts and what not.
Anyone have a good solution for this?
Or has anyone had any luck eliminating their physical mail entirely? I don't want 99% of my physical mail but I also don't want it going where it doesn't belong. I opted in for every paperless program offered to me but I still get all kinds of shit.

Any family members that can help u out? Or real close friends? I have left my home of record as my parents address ever since I was 18, now 26 and still bouncing around.

I eliminate as much paper mail as possible by logging into my various accounts (credit cards, bank, phone, insurance, etc.) and selecting the paperless billing option. Otherwise, I use my parents' address.

I second something like "Earth Class Mail".
I'm in the U.K. and a similar service is scanmypost.co.uk. You also have ones like "Swiss Post Box".
They work really well. They scan incoming letters so you can view online, and will forward to another address for a fee...All pretty secure and not too expensive. Great if you have nosey relatives! Also great if you don't want to hand out your physical address for privacy reasons or whatever...
