Plus, Missouri has some of the most draconian laws regarding Gentlemen's Clubs in the States: no selling alcohol, must close at 12pm, and no full nudity (these prohibitions are less of a problem if you are in St. Louis, as you can pretty easily cross the border into East Saint Louis, Illinois where there are several Gentlemen's Clubs.

Thanks for calling it out.

It was like pulling teeth out of those other guys trying to get a comparison.

Yea, this is more a 'if for some reason you find your self here' type data sheet G.

Also, for BBQ try Arthur Bryant's and Oklahoma Joe's as well.

Bumping this thread. Anyone have any updated info on Kansas City? I was born and raised there but I left when I was 17 to the military so I never really got to experience and sort of nightlife there. I will say though the bad thing about Kansas City is its huge land wise for a city of only 500,000 people. You will definitely need a car here. The city itself is 443 sq miles including Kansas City, KS. (In comparison NYC is 302 Sq miles and LA is 468 sq miles).

Here's an article about Huffington post naming Kansas City the coolest city in America

I'm in Kansas City right now. Seems like a proper city. It's more diverse than points north.

Questionable statement... im from STL and used to date a gal from DC area... yes more girls in DC obviously bc its a bigger city but as people have covered on this forum many times bigger DOES NOT always mean better. STL is small but it has an eclectic feel and and by and large people are much more friendly than the east coast. Yes there are some stunners in DC area esp. in Virginia in my opinion but DC as a whole is a whole other animal than talking to a nice mid-western gal in missoura with a fat ass and a huge pair of tits from all that good ole' bar b q.

Roosh if you're still around KC on Friday, go to Lawrence (20 minutes west of kc), after the KU basketball opening game the bars in Lawrence get packed with absurd amounts of hot white girls, Id even say the best ratios you'll find anywhere in the Midwest. and unlike your Nebraska tailgaters there wont be a bunch of old people there.

KC actually reminds me of DC a bit: multicultural with no unique vibe or culture. I don't feel like the south, north, east, or west. It just seems like a generic city.

You could say that about a lot of cities and towns in America now. Globalism and multiculturalism have watered down the original flavors of individual cities.

Yeah Kansas City was extraordinarily generic. Even the black "thugs" were nearly identical to the ones we have in DC/Baltimore.

In Kansas City we have a MUCH better nightlife than Wichita. To me Wichita is very drab and full of homeless people. Im always slightly depressed when I go there.

The last 10 years of development have done wonders for both Kansas Cities, it was once similar to how Wichita is now.

As stated above, check out Lawrence after a basketball game there will be nothing like it.

For the KC savvy, how would you assess the following:

1) Does KC have a decent creative class vibe (engineers, artists, musicians) with paid job opportunities?

2) Is the area relatively socially conservative (conservative Christians, marriage-minded women) compared to other US cities of same or larger size?

3) Are the women relatively in-shape/fashionable compared to other places in the country?

4) Is there a good amount of strong, appreciating, attractive housing stock (suburbs included)?

Before reading this, first watch Roosh's video on the midwest:

Disclaimers:

1) I realize that this report sounds negative. I would rather it not be because I really enjoyed my time in Kansas City and with its citizens. However, if I am being honest with my self below is what I saw and experienced. While Kansas City is far better than this forum's trinity of hell:
  • DC
  • Ontario
  • Denmark
, I have travelled to many other places, and honestly Kansas City does not measure up to many of them for people pursuing women through travel.

2) I was only there for five nights, which did not include Friday or Saturday night. While I am sure the crowds improve, I saw nothing to indicate that the average level of talent would. I will fully admit that missing those two nights may seriously compromise my observations.

3) The five nights I went to KC were in the middle of December, but unseasonably warm, which may also affect things, such as getting a pretty good idea of girls bodies despite the time of year.

TL;DR Version:

The girls of KC are best described as physically OK to Decent when not overweight with good but not outstanding attitudes. The competition, while it does exist, should be very straight forward to handle. However, it is a very empty and quiet city Sunday through Thursday night, with not quite as cheap a night life as one might expect for the middle of the USA. As well, you must stay in and around the Westport Plaza in order to ensure opportunities to open and approach.

The Girls

Faces:
OK to Decent. I only saw one girl my entire time there with a face above a 7, though 5+'s and 6's were easy to find. What I saw on Tinder did not impress me. The sub 5s, while not as bad as what I have seen in Ontario, can be quite bad. At one bar to which I went, I sat down next to a girl who from behind look great - she had a very nice waif body and was showing it off. When she turned around I had the worst butterface experience of my life.
Her face was unbelievably scrunched and reminded me a bit of Kuato from Total Recall.

Bodies:
OK to Decent as well. When not obese, they do have curves. However, Dallas girls have better bodies while Chicago girls have much better bodies (again when not obese - this is still the USA).

Attitudes:
Quite good. Certainly much better than DC and miles ahead of Ontario and Denmark. I would say they were noticably better than what I experienced in Chicago, and I thought Chicago girls had a good attitude in my experience.
I got a number of IOIs, though they tended to be subtle and would require competent but not exceptional approaches. Unfortunately, they tended either to be at the place I was working or when they were in seated groups. However, they were definitely not as good as what I experienced in Dallas and Charleston.
Speaking of scrunch face above, she actually encouraged me to open a girl sitting next to me at the bar. She said I should compliment her on her earings. Of course, my being a forum member from DC who is 1/2 Danish
and spent 5 years in Ontario was thinking "Shut up, you idiot - compliment openers stopped working in the early 2000s. Everyone knows the only correct opener is 'Do you know where the pet shop is?' - oh wait it's night - the only correct openers are "Let me guess where you're from" and "I really like you're energy". Needless to say I ignored her advice and let the opportunity slip by.

I really need to get out of DC.

Competition:
There is some. I would place it somewhere between Chicago (not as hard) and Dallas (not as easy). However, I don't think it would be an issue for anyone with a basic grounding in game.

Where are the girls:
They are in Westport at the Plaza, a large out door mall south of downtown on the Blue River. If you are visiting you should focus most of your efforts there, and exclusively if it is not Friday or Saturday night. If it is not Friday or Saturday night, it is not worth bothering to be any where else. While there are downtown night spots like Power and Light and a hipster neighborhood directly north of the plaza, from what I could tell they
only get customers on Friday and Saturday night. I went to Howl at the Moon on Wednesday night as recommended by the data sheet above, and it had less than 20 customers. It's too bad because the musicians were excellent with no cover. I have paid more cover than I care to remember to listen to bands who couldn't sing, couldn't play their instruments,
and couldn't sound check properly.

With all due respect to the author of the original KC data sheet, I believe that it is now out of date.

Boring but important stuff:

How to get there:

Rail and Auto:
Kansas City is a major ground and water transportation hub for the United States. While passenger trains are rare unlike freight trains (I have never seen so many in my life), the city is surrounded by decent highways that have remarkably light traffic, even during rush hour. If you can drive, that would be the best way to go.

Air:
This could be harder. While KC was once a major center of the American economy, it has fallen on less prosperous times. The airport, which the area built during the optimism of the 60s and has 3 terminals with nearly 100 gates, is so under used that one of the terminals has been closed indefinitely. KC's airport has surprisingly few direct destinations except to major hubs such as Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and LA. Neither secondary major cities like Cleveland, Buffalo, Raleigh-Durham Research Triangle, Boise, and San Antonio nor regional cities such as Omaha, Witchita, Sioux Falls, Shreveport, and Tulsa have direct flights to KC, despite it having plenty of capacity. For non-American forum members, its only foreign direct flights are to and from Toronto and North American tropical resorts. However, the airport, while very out of date, has very quick security due to a quirk in its design. It was rated the 3rd least miserable airport in the USA, and I would agree. Southwest flies there so good deals on ticket prices can be found.

Where to stay:
It is CRITICAL that you stay in Westport near the plaza. In a city that feels deserted, it is the only place where you can reliably find talent. Fortunately, there a quite a few hotels in that neighborhood. Hotels in Westport, while not cheap, are reasonably priced.

Food:
It's standard American city fare for the most part, but I never had a bad meal. That being said, if you like smoked meat BBQ with sauce and juicy steaks, you are in for a treat. KC is famous for it's BBQ and steaks and for good reason. Going to Jack's Stackhouse, to Arthur Bryant's, and to Joe's (formerly Oklahoma Joe's) Kansas City BBQ are an absolute must, as well as treating yourself to a high end steakhouse dinner.

Drinks:
Standard American city drinks. However, there are two local microbrews, Boulevard and KC Bier, that are exceptionally good and don't overhop their beer like many American microbrews.

Prices:
KC is not that cheap for what it is. While certainly overall much less than places like DC and Toronto, and no where near Copenhagen, your dollar does not go as far as you might expect for KC nightlife and entertainment.
Uber prices, which are a steal in Dallas, are somewhat less than DC but not that much. Drinks at bars and restaurants at best felt marginally less than DC. Drinking and junk food wise, my nights out in Chicago honestly felt like a better deal.

Atmosphere:

Very Empty:
KC is a very empty place. While not all that dangerous by American standards, you often have the feeling that you are completely alone when you walk around. Even the plaza in Westport during Christmas shopping season doesn't feel very crowded. The downtown feels empty even during business hours, and near by nice looking residential neighborhoods often look deserted with lights out at 8PM. Even at the height of rush hour, there are just not that many cars on the road.

It's not flat:
I had assumed that Kansas City was where the rolling prairies ended and the great plains began. I was wrong. It is actually quite hilly. If you are a DC comics fan, the Flash's hometown of Central City is very misleading - they should probably hint that it's Oklahoma City. If you had suddenly placed me in a residential neighborhood in KC away from its landmarks and asked me where I was, I would have said Western Upstate New York.

Friendly:
In the tradition of the central United States, KC is a very friendly and welcoming place. Roosh is correct in his observations. My story of scrunch face above is a good example.

Blacks:
I am reluctant to post this since race is very touchy issue on the forum, but I was surprised that most blacks I encountered in KC spoke with the dominant mid western accent of the area. They did not have the typical
American black accent. The few who did had a very muted version. You may say "so what you bigot!?!" but I have traveled to all the major regions of the United States, usually in inner cities, and have never seen this before.

The Sites:
Believe it or not, KC has a lot of very interesting things to see.

World War I museum - this is KC's most famous land mark. Inside is a terrific museum whose quality goes toe to toe with places like the Imperial War Museum in London and the Marine Museum in Quantico, VA. Its Memorial Hall has some of the most beautiful American art work that I have ever seen.

Vine St - this is where KC Jazz was born. It includes a Negro League Museum which looked interesting but I did not have time to visit.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - again, I did not have time to see it but it looks very impressive.

Pre-World War II architecture - Kansas City has a lot of pre World War II architecture that is very beautiful. I found KC's main train station to be even prettier than Grand Central in New York or Union Station in DC.

Should you go?

Should you go just to party and approach?
No. There are significantly better places to go for the same amount of money.

Should you move there?
No. The local economy is not the greatest while night life prices are surprisingly a bit on the high side given the area's difficulties, and the girls just aren't high enough quality to justify taking a hit to one's purchasing power or employment opportunities. For players thinking of settling down and having kids, this is a shame because KC looks like it was once a paradise in which to raise a family.

So you should never visit at all?
No, I did not say that. The girls are decent with good attitudes. There is actually a lot to see in Kansas City, including the outstanding WWI museum, The Negro League Museum, Vine Street, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, plus really beautiful pre world war II American architecture. In addition, if you like smoked meat BBQ in sauce, steak, and good beer, Kansas City is fabulous. The Royals are the 2015 champions, and
The Kansas City Chiefs are noted for having one of the best fan experiences in the NFL, including top marks for tail gating.

If you're looking for a weekend getaway and can score cheap airline tickets and accommodations in Westport, you should absolutely go and try to top it off with a Sunday Chiefs or Royals game, just keeping in mind that approaching and opening will only be a part of your weekend.

If you make it a weekend when the weather is nice of site seeing, eating great food, drinking great booze, watching live sports, and some approaching of women, you should have a great time. I for one plan to do precisely this.

Don't miss out on Gates' BBQ either.
http://www.gatesbbq.com/

Country Club Plaza is a great place to be on the weekends it's very full of folks milling about and shopping. Fogo De Chao is expensive at $45 each or so, however it's unlimited of the best fire-grilled meat you've ever eaten.
http://www.fogodechao.com/location/kansas-city

Priceline will let you get a hotel right inside the big areas easily with "name your own price" for about $65 a night, however I've been charged outrageous prices for parking at hotels with garages so be aware of that.

Crown Center is another big area to explore, Fritz's railroad restaurant has a nifty train that delivers your food, although the grub is nothing special above regular diner fare.
http://www.fritzskc.com/

Power & Light has a giant outdoor arena type area (Kansas City Live!) with free (or cheap / cover) concerts often, not sure if they shut it down for winter but it's kept open as long as possible with radiant heaters built above your head.
http://www.powerandlightdistrict.com/ind...e=calendar

I would agree on westport, it was packed like crazy last time I was there, they close off all the streets so you can walk everywhere without getting run over, there are a few "bar-cades" there if you want to drink while playing video games. Showing off your high score at pac-man is probably not a productive way to get laid.

Kansas City is very high on my must-visit list. It has my three favorite things in the world: Midwestern white women (who are my favorite type of white girls; the East Coast and Southern ones IMO are extremely bitchy, with D.C taking the cake), excellent barbeque, and football culture (Chiefs).

DC would probably be better for black and Latin girls than St. Louis but the white girls from that area make me drool.

checking in with the black girls... they are plentiful in ole' Saint Louie. Just check tinder if you can't imagine. Many slaves escaped the south and went north/west which means many originally went from the deeper south straight thru missouri in hopes of refuge. Many of them we helped, but I guess the other half weren't so lucky (only state in the history of the union to be half slave/ half free. Meet me in Saint Louie for some big bootied hos you guys!

Reading through this thread has helped me determine that I'd like to live somewhere near the Plaza or UMKC. I was looking through craigslist and google maps and found some decent apartments/houses that aren't too pricey. I posted Google Maps Links so that KC people can have a good idea of where these places are located.

1BR 450/mo. near UMKC Craigslist
Google Maps Near UMKC

Maybe I should stick around UMKC. Budget is gonna pretty tight.

Also, I won't be in KC much, only on the weekends. Since I'll be travelling so much, should I just save by living in the suburbs?

Any recommendations?

Allow me to answer. KC has amazing restaurants. And if JD11 has better recommendations please don't hold back because of me.

Gates is the standard, and I guarantee it's still in business. That place is amazing. Google or just ask anyone in KC where it is.

After that, try a place called The Majestic Steakhouse, which is in downtown KC by the coffee factory. That place if fantastic.

I also always hit KC Masterpiece in the Plaza even though it's a little commercial, it's still good.

The hood in KC is called Prospect and another is called Troost. The times I've been there you could just cruise around and find guys bbqing and selling it on the street. I wish I could give you exact locations because a lot of those were unreal.

And it's not like the white girls in Soho are horrible. There are tons of fly white girls there. It's not like the place is all Ethiopians, American Indians, Eskimos and Thai girls.

That is what I am trying to figure out.

Does Kansas City really destroy these places?
