True Alpha vs Feigned Alpha

All this alpha-beta theory shit is really starting to get a bit tired in my opinion. Is it alpha to constantly pore over and analyze every minute detail of what it means to be alpha.

At the end of the day, it's subjective and depends on how you define it. Some guys might take a ripped 6 ft 5 in. construction worker who makes $30,000 a year as a supreme alpha due to his height and build. Another guy might consider that same guy beta, because he only makes $30,000 a year, while he'd consider the Mark Zuckerburg and Bill Gates of the world as the true alphas due to their wealth, power, and influence. While yet other guys might define alpha as the guy who fucks the most women, regardless of his height, muscles, financial wealth, etc.

Basically, I agree with Parlay, just do you, and don't worry about whether you're alpha or beta. As long as you stand up for yourself, respect yourself, believe in yourself, and don't give a fuck about other people's opinions of you, you are an alpha in my book.

Guys this a game forum. I think we should all be aspiring to be the Mark Zuckerbergs and Bill Gates of pussy wrangling.

The "Alpha vs. Beta" debate is relevant in that there really is a schism between the guys who are getting a lot of pussy and the herbivore men. For the majority of men, there aren't many in betweens.

That said, I think we might want to retire the term "Alpha vs. Beta" in favor of "player vs. civilian/spectator."

Most guys who are pro-actively seeking to improve their game are not alpha-leaders, we are more like lone wolves, or "Sigmas."

theIVth is right. Being confident is the most attractive characteristic a man can have. You can go around pounding your chest and trying to act gangsta and you'll get club-rat women who are easily impressed by such gimmicks... or you can work on yourself and gain true confidence which quality women find irresistible.

No they're out there. They're the guys who act all tough and run their cocky/funny routine in public but bake strawberry shortcakes for their girl when nobody is watching. That's a feigned alpha. My friend's girl called him out on it in front of me before. I damn near fell over from laughing so hard.

Being yourself all the time is being a true alpha. The best description I've heard is being a "likable asshole".

Lol "likeable asshole" that is pretty much me in a nutshell

This is what it is all about.

I have written about this:

The “Act as If” Journey in Life

http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2011/03/the...-life.html

For some reason, many people are threatened by the "fake it till you make it", "Act as If" approach to life. (I should say people that will never make it are threatened by it).

News just in:

Everyone successful in life has "faked it till they made it", "Acted as If".

I would even go as far to say that it is the #1 key to success.

"Everybody look at you strange, say you changed
Uh, like you work that hard to stay the same"

I wonder, do fake it til you make it/act as if entail even lying? In Bang Roosh mentions fake it til you make it but I don't recall if he says you should lie.

Here is a brilliant video on the subject with Mystery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfeb1ZsLA38

What do the experienced players on here say?

On second thought, lie is a strong word though. In the past I might have sometimes embellished the truth a bit prior to streaks of success. If you're congruent and coherent I don't see why it shouldn't work. Probably almost everyone do it anyway (people choose to talk disproportionately about their successes but not so much their failures and mistakes which gives a misrepresentation of the truth).

A relative of mine is a male nurse. He's about 110 to 115 pounds if that.

He doesn't like me, nor I him. He once verbally let out how he's a quote unquote "achiever". He once locked his jaw and stared at me and told me he's an "Alpha Male." I kid you not.

He's comes across as extraordinarily uptight and he makes people around him feel uncomfortable. I hope he steals some Valium from the hospital pharmacy and uses it all up.

I hope he's not reading this...

Moral of the story is that if you have to look in the mirror and shout out that you're an Alpha, or dwell all day on being Alpha, you're at risk of people thinking you have problems and major feelings of inadequacy.

Men who feel they have to dominate every social situation often come across looking like douche bags.

Most of the tall guys I know that became somewhat alpha later on were not alpha as young men. The shorter guys seemed to have more swag as kids.

That being said, I don't think height factors that much into alpha demeanor, nor the actual time of life someone adopts these traits.

Totally agree, everything described here IMHO is the cool kid in high school, oftentimes the most confident kids in HS were in reality just puffing out their chest and maybe had developed some confidence at a stage where many kids were unsure of themselves and figuring themselves out.

More often than not the people who are "killing it" as adults ie in shape, good jobs, making good money, know who they are, are not the ones who had it all figured out and were cool in high school

One last thing, I typically don't spend a lot of time in this game section, I'm normally over in Lifestyle or Crypto but one thing I personally feel very strongly about is anyone who's a true alpha really doesn't concern themselves with discussing the topic or wondering if they are alpha nor if anyone else is alpha. I think of this quote from some personal development speech, dont remember whom...

The lion does not seek respect, the lion commands respect because they know they should be respected.
