I might go to helsinki next week, where are the best places to stay for 4 days. Any tips on places to stay in the Kamppi area?? like hostels or apartments or reasonable hotels????

Strange that even though there were more girls out on the weekend, it was far easier to get laid on the weekdays.

On the weekend the girls were in larger groups and with guys they knew. It had more of an insider feel. Less pairs of girls. On Thursday night I pulled even though the bar was dead. Last night it was packed but I only got love from fatties.

it's HS graduation weekend in Finland. Might explain why everyone was out with their friends. Everyone today is spending time with the family and friends who graduated. Curious to see how next weekend turns out for you.

Hey all

I'm on my first solo europe trip, and stumbled upon this forum, been a very useful resource for me. I was in Helsinki over the last few days (will post up about Krakow and Copenhagen as well when I get a chance), and have made a few observations.

1) Agreed that milli is a great venue for bar game as the music isn't deafening - was there at some point on most nights. Also, you need to start gaming early as I noticed once the guys get more drunk and more aggressive/physical, the bitch shield comes up markedly.

2) Went to Onnela club, huge venue. There's a rnb floor as well as an electro floor (but seems like the electro floor only opens on weekends). Unless you want to do dancefloor game, your best bet is either by the bar or at the seating sofas beside the dancefloor. I got my only flag in Helsinki opening a group of two girls bumping and grinding each other at the sofa area by themselves next to rnb floor. It was a swedish flag though, not a finnish one - but I'm definitely not complaining, as the girl was hot enough to be well entrenched in my top 15 alltime bangs list

3) Went to Vatican club, which actually was pretty good too, there are 4 rooms. The first room coming from entrance is brightly lit with a big bar, saw groups of girls dancing there. Second room is the rnb room with a pole in middle, bar on the side. There's like a small seating room next to this, but its groups of guys and girls so looked pretty cliquey. The last room in the back might actually be best place to pick up as it was the least packed, with a bar as well. I opened a cute finnish girl at the bar here and got pretty warm reception. However, she wasn't drinking at all and she was with a guy and a girlfriend, so I number closed and moved on as I was looking for SNL

4) Overall, I found eye contact before approaching quite a good gauge on how warm the target is, smile would be a bonus. I would even cheers them with my glass from a distance and if they look away on purpose, I wouldn't even bother approaching. Saved me alot of time and effort to focus on ones with IOIs

5) Clubs usually start shutting down at 330am, and people start lining up to pick up their coats from the cloakroom. This is usually the best time to run cold approaches or try and close the girls you spoke to earlier, as the girls are bit tipsy. Almost everyone goes to McDonalds, or goes to the taxi line - both with very long queues. So best way to get target back to your place is to say you have room service/decent food (as opposed to fast food crap) at your place, and/or to hang out at your place and chill to some music and have a few more drinks rather than waiting in the taxi queue for an hour. Make sure your pad is around the Kamppi area so its an easy walk

6) Didn't do too much day game as I'm usually asleep from being up until 4-5am. However, from what I can see , girls are really shy during the day so you need to be extremely indirect. However, I think if girls are interested, they would look and smile at you. I had a few of these, but the girls weren't really my type.

Hope some of these insights help, and again, awesome forum.

cheers

Roosh, I know you're out of Finland, but I have some advice for you the next time you go.

DO NOT GO TO HELSINKI.

It is the most westernized city in all of Finland. You lose all traces of Finnish culture when you go there. You're better off going to either Oulu or Tartu, as they are much more organic and the girls are MUCH better looking. Also skinnier, since the obesity epidemic hasn't hit them yet. It works this way for most countries in Eastern/Central Europe.

I've often thought of going back to Finland and the culture and language have really grown on me in the past year. Does the hard-drinking ONS culture that exists in Helsinki apply to Oulu and Tartu as well? I know there is a university in Tartu. Do most people in these cities speak English?

Actually, the second city that you are thinking of is Turku. Tartu is in Estonia.

Both Oulu and Turku have universities but in Oulu the student body is skewed towards male and in Turku towards Swedish minority students. If you want a smaller city with liberal arts heavy (ie female skewed) universities, you can try Tampere or even Jyväskylä though that starts getting really small.

Young people even in the smallest bumfuck town in the middle of absolutely nowhere will speak English so that won't ever stop you.

I'm not sure what the poster thinking about Helsinki being "westernized" is thinking but the obesity epidemic is worse almost everywhere else (the worse the smaller the town) and while Helsinki is indeed an alien cultural transplant, it's because it's so eastern - a copy of St Petersburg set up by the Russians fairly recently.

Likewise, Turku is the most Scandinavian/German influenced city in Finland so it's a bit alien to most of us as well. If you want the purest "Finnish" places, you should go inland. Not that any of that culture matters much for picking up, really.

I'll be headed back to Helsinki next month and will be spending a bit more time there than last year. For those who have the place clocked, are there any dress codes for the clubs?

After reading through this thread, I've got Helsinki on my radar. How is it in September? Are there plenty of young locals in the city (not on vacation)? Is the weather bearable?.

September should be good for Helsinki, depending to what you're comparing to of course. Here you can check out the avarage weather, but it's really different from year to year.

June should be fine. Just avoid the third weekend of June when the midsummer celebrations start.
Everybody is escaping the cities and Helsinki will be nothing than ghost town during those days.

was there 8 days, weekends are packed but still good opportunities on weekdays. Pulled on a monday night in august.

Dont recommend milli, it's developed a bad rep since rok. If youre in the center, theres plenty of clubs bars and streets to pull. Be confident but nice. Had more luck daygaming russians than finns. If you like to drink, you'll be fine.

Check out Kallio if you like hipster/ alt girls

To their summer houses or just to camping in nature. Same applies to Estonia, nobody is in cities on 23rd and 24nd on June.

To the sea, beach, lakes, countryside. Wherever someone has a summer cabin.
This is usually a 3-4 days party. It's the biggest holiday in Finland and if you manage to get invited to one you should go. Girls are quite romatic about Midsummer and believes the white nights are magic.

Most of my friends are ironically born in late March. 9 months after Midsummer.
We use to call these people to " Midsummer Mistakes"

Just got out of Helsinki. On Wednesday nights there is a college party at Tiger at the top of Kamppi. 10euro cover. Obviously a bit of a younger crowd. My wing and I are in our 30s but were able to make approaches and the girls thought we were in our mid 20s. Some even asked what we were studying.

It was easy to male approaches. Got some numbers. Made out with a Tinder girl I had went on a date with earlier in the day but when i tried to take her home she said ahe was on her period amd had her girlfriend staying over and coulsnt leave. Approached a few other girls(groups of 2-3). Fingerbanged a hot 21yr old at the bar. My wing and I fucked up by not quickly moving that group to our pad for an afterparty, even though they were showing interest.

Milliklubi is played out. Talent drop off there and a sausage fest, at least on Monday and Tuesday. We were able to get girls back to our apt on a Tuesday but they were wasting our vodka on making a stupid fanta punch while not even drinking much of it. Got there shirts off in a game of truth or dare but they balked when we tried to escalate.

Helsinki is fun. Wished we had more than 3 nights early in the week to make it happen. Oh well, both me and my homie got our Finnish flags on the Tallink Silja on a Thursday night cruise to Stockholm. Both were 18. His was an 8 and mine was a 6. I didn't want it but they were roommates and I took one for the team.

By the way, can't recommend the Helsinki to Stockholm cruise on a thursday night in late Aug. Too empty. We were lucky in that this pair was down. My boy and I were about to give up on the night when we saw them next to an elevator by an empty club. They mentioned that the boat is way more full with a young crowd on Fridays and Saturdays.

We did try to hint at switching up after sex to get additional +1s but it was already 4a and the girls were tired.

I'm fairly new to posting, so you may want to wait and hear from one of the forum's regulars about posting a new threat or just continuing here...

either way, I am looking forward to hearing your trip report! What part of Helsinki are you staying in? Should be a good time for you bro!

Guys.
Can one consider Finnish girls on par with Swedish, Norwegian and Danish girls in terms of Nordic looks and style?
