If I had to die in one suit
I don't wear suites yet, but grey are my favorite by far when checking out pics of people wearing them.
I wear grey, blue, black, brown. I prefer the dark colors, grey probably above all yeah.

Excepting eveningwear (I've never seen a grey tux that I liked), I'd go with grey.
Great observation Sutra. Now that I think about it, I've always dug grey, personally as it provides a distinctive silhouette that sets you apart. Not only that, but grey suits can be all purpose, all season wear appropriate for nearly everything.
Grey three pieces are incredibly underrated, IMO.
But, at the same time you can never go wrong with black, as long as its worn distinctively so you don't look like a bouncer, maitre d, or security guard.

It is hard to wear a black suit without looking a bouncer or limo driver, but black is my favourite colour.
Grey suits are killer, the right colour you can wear forever. Just noticed a nice Zegna suit in the local mall today, crazy money I am sure. My next suit will be that colour for sure, it is looking like I will have to splash the cash.

Normally I would agree with you, until late last year/earlier this year when Jean Yves released their dark grey 'Twilight' tuxedo... it's actually pretty sharp looking.
There's also one available in a lighter, 'Heather Grey'
I've always been partial to navy blue with pinstripes. Been wearing that since I have been wearing suits. There's nothing more classic or powerful in my mind.
If you've got blond hair, a light brown/tan suit is a good look as well.
I like navy.
Best advice is to go custom tailored.

You can go with black chalkstripe, always tight.
Or wear a black shirt with black suit to avoid the limo driver look. I have a black hugo boss I wear with strictly black shirts.

Fuck man you nailed it. Purple Label from a mile away.
Most balling suit of all time: chalk-stripe, double-breasted, flannel. Charcoal or navy, or a slightly lighter shade of blue.
And anything made by Polo Purple Label:
Every man should probably own a gray suit. It's a neutral color that you can wear year-round and looks good on everyone.
Obviously black and navy are also pretty versatile. Always go custom tailored.
