Glad it worked out for you.

For those of us who like POTATOES/FRENCH FRIES:

olive oil in the pan, and line the bottom with thinly sliced potatoes slices, with no room in between. Let it cook for 8-10 mins on medium or medium high until brown (french fry texture), then flip all over.

At this point, put in sliced onions, mushrooms and tomatoes which must go ON TOP OF the flipped potato slices. Place cheese (american for me), ON TOP of mushroom/tomato/onion mix. PLACE LID ON TOP, bring heat down to low. Let cook for 5-6 mins

Then add in egg mixture (straight eggs with a tiny bit of milk added for fluffy texture, as someone else mentioned) last, bring heat up to medium and stir entire mixture around making sure the eggs are cooking evenly. I put a little bit of crushed black pepper in at this point. I do not put in salt because I usually cook this for a group and everyone likes to add to taste.

Usually takes only 5 mins at this point.

What comes out is a kind of omelette with browned potatoes mixed in. I then eat with a little bit of ketchup or hot sauce on the side depending on the mood.

I have no idea how healthy/unhealthy this is, but I became a huge fan after I honed this method.

I made this yesterday! ]

In-fucking-credible!!!

Look mofo! jajajaja. [Image: blush.gif] That was the ONLY healthy thing on the plate. I'm moving toward a healthier lifestyle. Good eye man. I was hoping no one noticed the whole wheat [Image: blush.gif], as I'm "white bread" to the bone.

That plate started with two strips of bacon cooked hard for the grease. Then I ate those while I saute'd the onion just enough to stay firm in the middle. Next I threw down the eggs, and cursed due to the stove being off balance (big pet peeve). The eggs kept running to the backside of the pan, and I kept having to turn it like a DJ. I splashed grease on top of the eggs, as I forgot to cover to prevent having to flip. I threw those on the plate, and immediately tossed in the liver mush to hard brown on each side.

This is true southern E. Carolina breakfast cuisine. The reason you don't see biscuits and gravy? Cause I suck BALLS at both. Some things yo mamma and her mamma do, and I just can't replicate. [Image: undecided.gif]

I used to think I didn't like eggs at all until I had some cooked by professionals. Unfortunately I am not one...maybe I can force myself to enjoy them like I recently did with this godawful tomato juice [Image: tard.gif]

Enigma,

Many people think they don't like eggs because they never ate some made by someone who knows what they're doing.

In my opinion, most of America makes some severely overcooked plain ass eggs that are even sometimes brown on the bottom (gross). Even if you go to a breakfast bar that has an on-the-spot omelette cooker, 95% of the time you end up with some overcooked folded pancake concoction with vegetables hastily thrown in the middle.

I have straight up converted many people who thought they did not like eggs with just one batch of my own.

Just keep an open mind until you're able to get some eggs made by an egg connoisseur.

Definitely. I'm not knocking eggs. It's just a matter of becoming good at cooking eggs myself so that I can enjoy them on a regular basis. Until then I'll have to eat the failures [Image: confused.gif]

I don't know if this has been addressed but if you look on craigslist for "farm fresh eggs" you will get eggs from chickens that cruise around eating bugs for protein and not that disgusting feed the chicken egg factories use. The egg yolk is darker in color and the eggs taste much better. Also where I go here in vegas I used to get quail eggs and those were delicious. It's much cheaper than whole foods and better IMO.

I'm surprised you say you can taste a difference.

How do these farm fresh eggs differ in taste?

You will eventually find a way to prep foods to suit your taste buds and in time they do adjust.

I don''t like traditional "fluffy" scrambled eggs they are wet, runny, and moist... yuck. But I do like eggs sunny-up with the yolk still fresh or fried up with lots of browning like how my mother used to make them.

Some people can't fuck with eggs at all. I have a buddy whom gets sick at just smelling them cook.

How many egg yolks are too many? I've been eating upto 8 whole-eggs a day, for the last couple weeks.

Common belief is that 8 yolks is too many. I would recommend scaling back to 2 whole eggs/day and 6 just whites.

If you are worried about losing the taste, you would be surprised how much taste you can get with one whole egg combined with 3-4 egg whites. Not to mention, the additional vegetables, pepper and/or hot sauce you can add to it.

I eat 6 a day. Its all healthy fats in there, don't worry about it.

Of course everything in moderation, too much of anything is not good.

BUT

There is a mineral (I can't remember off the top of my head, maybe Selenium ?) that is very abundant in eggs and you can "overdose" on this. The Overdose is not harmful to you but it will give your tongue/mouth a metallic taste. I only get this when the yolks are fully scrambled and cooked but if they are runny/raw I never get that metal taste.

I've been fine till now, no metallic taste whatsoever. I'm only worried about elevated cholesterol levels!

Does it make a difference if you eat it scrambled or just raw?

I like the taste of it scrambled better, and adding a bit of shredded marble cheese makes it perfect.

I know proteins denature and all that with the heat, but does it really make a difference?

Raw eggs might contain salmonella, so scrambled is better!

I eat over a dozen eggs a week - fried in coconut oil with turkey sausage on the side.

My blood work (hdl cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) is top 5% in terms of health.

The government doesn't want men eating eggs because dietary cholesterol is a precursor to testosterone.

The government wants people eating like cows about to be slaughtered - lots of grains, corn, and starches to leave you tired and lethargic.

Don't trust anything the government says about diet - or anything else for that matter.

I went on a heavy egg diet crushing a carton every 2 days for the last 2 months of my last semester when money was tight. My facial hair is growing like mad, way thicker and I am needing to shave the 'stache every 2 days now instead of the 4 days I used to. Dick is harder too but that could be the pill regimen I am doing not sure (still testing), skin is in better shape, etc. In the gym my gains have been steady, I have not been good with getting enough protein but eggs and protein shakes help, but the quality of my muscles is getting a lot better. Mass may be slower by the development of my muscles fibres/feathers is off the charts.

Is it the eggs? whom knows but like @MIKECF says if every man ate a dozen eggs a week (at least) revolutions would happen. I would even argue women would fall back in their place (on their own) seeing Men back in the role running things and leading charge.

Love eggs. For those spice-hungry types, try adding chili flakes and black pepper on the egg yolk right after you crack it out of the shell. This will add an extra punch that develops into the yolk.

I do about 12-15 eggs/week, but sometimes up to 30 eggs/week. My facial hair has been growing at ridiculous rates.... (ala Kosko's experience).

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude
